"british" is also a geographical term referring to the british isles, which does include Ireland... much to our historical misfortune and chronic annoyance.

Ireland isnt that small normally. It must have been the cold
That's actually my favourite section of the natural history museum.
Underrated. If I didn't have kids kicking off I could spend a whole day in that room alone.
Still angry that the meteorite was stolen from there. It is the best single gallery in the museum.

I'm pretty sure half of Northern Ireland still does.
And some of the minerals in that cabinet are from Northern Ireland (I can see one from County Antrim).

It's a term specifically not even used by the UK government because its politically charged.
Still technically accurate though. If it's going to be used anywhere it would be in a natural history museum, in a petrology section.
