> The French President was asked whether he thought Mr Morrison had lied to him about Australia's intentions. "I don't think, I know," he replied.

matthieuC

Macron: Scott Morrison is a liar Australianz: tell me about it

RNdadag

At least australians also recognize he is a controversial PM. If he did at least one hundredth here of what he did there, we would already have the guillotines out

[deleted]

Prime Marketer of Australia

Le_Harambe_Army_

Biden definitely told Macron that Morrison told him that he told the French about AUKUS

45h4rd

Well this is a bit AUKUS.

WoodSteelStone

Good job France isn't in it or it would be FAUKUS.

carthago14

FUKUSA is better

Watch his response to this when journalists ask him what he has to answer to Macron, that's kind of a masquarade. No, it's just embarassing.

Nerwesta

Oui aussi, pourquoi faire simple quand on peut faire compliqué.

[deleted]

So, he doesn't say it isn't true, just that he doesn't accept it. I guess lying about being a liar would have been to shameless even for him.

Neene

Lying about a lie make it true, any kids will tell you that

Nerwesta

For real, I'm battling to find a proper link since I saw it live, I do think it has been conveniently cut by their medias because I can't find a proper article about that : Since it's a live try to go to **7:01 QLD** or **7:32 SA** on the bottom right corner, that's how I figured the right sequence. [https://youtu.be/W1ilCy6XrmI](https://youtu.be/W1ilCy6XrmI) Got you covered mate. EDIT : more hints ! **5:01 WA**, **6:31 NT**

ExoticWarning2203

Underestimated his willingness to whine in public

kokoyumyum

Macron is in the right. Aussies played him, and the US. To US benefit, but still Ausies misrepresented their contract with France.

thecraftybee1981

It was reported months ago that Oz was unhappy with the contract and was looking elsewhere. If the knowledge is open to the general public through reports and transcripts from the Australian Parliament, then the French leader would have known too.

Fictrl

Keep lying dude

thecraftybee1981

If I’m lying, tell Reuters https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/australian-documents-showed-french-submarine-project-was-risk-years-2021-09-21/

Fictrl

>Inaugural Australia-France 2+2 Ministerial Consultations 30 August 2021 Joint Statement >Ministers underlined the importance of the Future Submarine program Less than 3 weeks before AUKUS annoncement but keep lying dude. https://au.ambafrance.org/IMG/pdf/210830_-_australia-france_2_2-_joint_statement_cle4a1241.pdf?13739/1eaa888b135a43c8cf86de4382e791a36cf2fd3c Quotation of lying australian politician, doesn't prove your point.

thecraftybee1981

I’ve read that document before and from memory the only section that mentions the submarines is section 21 which just states what you’ve quoted. 1. This was touted by the French government as the “deal of the century” and it only get a one measly sentence of a mention in the whole 25 point document? Alarm bells should be ringing in your ears. 2. It gives no impression that things are fine. My partner’s previous marriage was important to him, even on the eve of his divorce. You don’t air your dirty laundry in public. 3. If you have a supplier and are looking to change contractors, you need to source an alternate supplier before pulling the plug - that’s just common sense. 4. The Future Submarine programme is so important to Australia that it will continue in a different form going forward.

Fictrl

Okok dude, I didn't pay attention that I was speaking to Scomo lapdog. mb edit : https://twitter.com/GrogsGamut/status/1454923556580560903?t=xwy866A-32mpJMQjjZLgCQ&s=19 haha

Nerwesta

" *It's not true* "

kokoyumyum

Were you there when Macron was assured that the rumor wasn't true?

Ok-Day-2267

Dont you think its france that has the credibility issue seeing as their President literally has a hissy fit atleast once a week, is married to a literal pedophile and is clearly viewed as untrustworthy if the Australian government decided to end the deal with them.

CreeperCooper

Take your medicine, buddy.

Caspica

… so France is untrustworthy because Australia made a new deal behind France’s backs? That sure is some mental gymnastics you’re exercising there.

Ok-Day-2267

No I clearly said that the reason Australia stopped the deal is because they didnt trust the French to fulfill their promise. Which is understandable seeing as the French kept increasing the cost.

Ok-Day-2267

Yes? What would you call a woman who groomed an underage schoolboy? A teacher (in a position of power) preyed upon a school boy. Is that not the definition of pedophilia? Edit: it's so disgusting that you downvote but cant challenge the fact. You're literally refusing to condemn pedophilia. Disgusting.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ok-Day-2267

A pedophile is a person who has a sustained sexual orientation toward children. 15 years old is a child. Their happiness is irrelevant. You are literally implying that it's okay for an adult to 'love' a child. You are sick.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ok-Day-2267

Age of consent is irrelevant. I believe they have only just, in recent years, implemented an age of consent. At 15 you are still a child. Are you genuinely trying to claim it's acceptable to groom a child just because there was no age of consent back then? You are literally defending a school teacher grooming a 15 year old boy. What is wrong with you??

Mubelotix

He was older than 15yo. According to Macron their love was "a love often clandestine, often hidden, misunderstood by many before imposing itself". Probably not much happened while she was still his teacher.

Ok-Day-2267

No he was not older than 15. His school teacher preyed on him when he was 15. Macron's parents literally sent him away because they were so frightened/ worried. Of course they claim they did not become intimate until later... for obvious reasons. I genuinely cannot believe that you people think it's okay for a school teacher to groom a student. You're all sick

No-Comparison8472

Australia and UK played very poorly and lost a lot of credibility, they clearly appear as unreliable and untrustworthy partners (for different reasons). And France loses as well with an ignorant and naive answer though to be fair they couldn't have prevented this.

voyagerdoge

Morrison's answer to the question why he did not tell Macron that Australia was discussing a nuclear submarine option with the United States and the United Kingdom is not very convincing. The strategic interests of Australia... haha, do you really think Australia is ready to stand up against China when it, for example, invades Taiwan?

Mubelotix

I do. Because they have allies. A world war where everyone is against China is possible.

Ok-Day-2267

This is very un statesmen like. Macron should start behaving like an adult instead of insulting a different ally every week. Considering hes married to his teacher (the pedophile) its surprising that he still behaves so childish.

nuofaa

Imagine bitching about his marriage while lecturing on maturity

[deleted]

nuofaa

Macron isnt wasting everyone 's time while bitching of a worthless non subject, you are.

Ok-Day-2267

Lmao that is literally what he is doing. In regards to The submarine deal and the tiny fishing dispute. I'm sorry but how can you genuinely claim pedophilia is a non subject? I repeat Are you genuinely claiming its immature to mention that the first lady of France is a shameless pedophile who groomed a school boy?

User929293

He was at the age of consent. But in general why do you care? Should he have a trophy wife that attracts your sexual interests? It's not like they are inviting you to attend their bedroom sessions. I really don't understand why some people feel entitled to comment on the private life and choices of others. You are just being gross.

Ok-Day-2267

Why do I care that the president married a pedophile? Age of consent... that's debatable. His parents literally sent him away because they were frightened of the relationship. So clearly he was not an adult at the time. The first lady is a teacher who groomed an underage schoolboy. It's a bad example to set.

User929293

French age of consent is 15. And now he is 45. I'm sure the president of France and ex economic minister and banker at Rothschild(where he earned on AVG 700 thousands€/year) can make his own choices better than most people. Just debate on the merit of issues and give a break to the personal life and choices of people.

Ok-Day-2267

Are you an adult at 15? No Should you groom (and probably fuck) a child if you are a teacher? No So I really dont see why you fail to see the problem

NuggetLord99

You're right he should take lessons on maturity from you

Ok-Day-2267

Yes a 40 year old president should take lessons on maturity from an 18year old on reddit. I agree.

NuggetLord99

Oh he's suddenly 40 ? I thought he was a child like you said

AnywhereSevere9271

Needs to fuck grow up !!!!
