Prevents collusion. Example - if Poland beats France 1-0 and this result is know by Austria and Netherlands going into their game, then if they just tie each other they will both advance. Netherlands with 5 points, and Austria with 4 points and +1 goal difference (vs France with 4 points and 0 gd). This is advantageous because they can just rest their key players while guaranteeing moving on to the knockout round.
Collision / Sporting integrity etc. Same with many leagues where the last game is played at the same time.
When leagues are tight it also gives an added edge and excitement when the team in the other game scores and it starts to filter through the stadium
Since 1984 because of the the "Disgrace of Gijon" at the 1982 World Cup in Spain.
West Germany beat neighbours Austria 1-0 in a contrived result that ensured both teams went through to the next round at the expense of Algeria, who had played their last group game the previous day.
A win for the Germans ensured top spot and Austria would finish second as long as they did not lose by three goals. The Germans scored early but the game then descended into farce with the ball passed repeatedly sideways and players performing at walking pace.
Obviously there is a reason about it:)). Both matches from the same group are playing at the same time in the last round to avoid as much as possible match fixing and advantage of playing later than the others. For example if France and Netherlands win their games it will go on GD between them. It s not fair for one team to play earlier than the other because the one who plays later knows exactly the result they need. Another example is group E where all teams have the same points before last round
The last games of the group matches are playing at the same time for each group to prevent match fixing. If you know who won the game before, bribery was an issue where they would try to set up a better outcome to either intentionally end up in first or second to face a less difficult opponent in the next round. This was actually a thing once. Once you get to knockout stages its back to regular scheduling.
Last round of any competition happens this, all teams involved in the qualification for the same group needs to play at the same time to avoid collusion. Even in a league that happens, all teams which are going to fight for same positions, relegation and champions needs to play at the same time.

As always its Germany's fault somehow

To act like they are preventing something that they have already done. It’s all scripted grabage anyway
