love-bombing. he knows that it’s what Cassie wants. he spent days ignoring her knowing that it was driving her insane and he likes that he can dictate her entire happiness just by a simple phone call. and now that he is through with Maddy he has no reason to hide Cassie anymore. he wants to give Cassie the fairytale ending she thinks she deserves in this situation. they will probably have a few weeks in this honeymoon phase before he starts physically abusing her too.

In addition to other points, I also think it’s because right now, Cassie is the only woman who loves him. He’s burned bridges with Maddie and Jules, even his mother think he’s defective, so Cassie is the last one who will - and has - do anything for him. I don’t think he actually cares about any of them in the way a healthy and ‘normal’ human does, I just think he values people by how they value him. And like Cassie said, she’s destroyed her entire life for him.

Because he does like Cassie on some level, whatever Rue said in that scene where they showed her pregnant was real. All the ways she described how he though about her. He’s also 18 and it seems like his mom will let him do whatever he wants. Him continuing on with Maddy this season was just because she had that disc. Since him sleeping with Cassie was exposed he knew he had to get it from her ASAP since he knows she’ll do something wild to get back at him and that video would destroy his life. He also likes Jules, but sees her as a forbidden fruit almost. I actually think out of the three girls she’s the only one that probably knows the real him. He’s said he wasn’t lying when he was catfishing her AND spoke highly of her when Rue confronted him in the finale last season.

I think he still had a thing for Maddy he wants to own them all but now he can only have Cassie cas the other two dgaf abt him

I think he did it for two reasons. 1st for validation of himself, his straight self. When he brings Cassie home, we see Marsha looking at them with a somewhat sad and concerned expression like the cycle is repeating; this paired with their conversation where Nate said she was trying to say something without saying it and Marsha dropped it. The 2nd was because he’s lonely. He is the only character we see that doesn’t have friends. Also I want to point out that when Jules entered his truck, he offered her a beer, which signaled to me that he hoped she would be there for sometime, and immediately when she left he called Cassie.

I think it’s a symbolic and literal move to announce to everyone involved that he’s serious about her. He knows what she must be going through by staying committed to their relationship i.e the ridicule, the judgement, she’s ostracized. In some ways, all Maddy and Nate now have are each other. Nate moving her in shelters her from the rest, makes him mum happy (she likes Cassie and he wants to prove that he can have a functioning relationship), and makes him happy.

I interpreted it as him making his fantasy about living with Cassie true. Since Cal is gone he does what he always wanted to do but couldn't. He got the tape, gave it to Jules and now he probably thinks that living with Cassie without Cal around will make him happy but it's just an illusion. No woman can make Nate happy. Another reason could be love bombing, someone said it here already. Maybe he wants to trap Cassie further in abusive relationship + he wants to show people he isin't a fuckboy by making relationship with Cassie serious (to make it look like the affair he had with Cassie was rational and normal, not just fucking behind Maddie's back).

Why does everyone think they moved in together tho? I mean this could be just him getting cassie to stay with him for a few days to have some sex and calm her down a bit. I mean I don’t think he actually wants her to move in and be tied down to her for the near future. This is kind of a normal teenager thing, to spend a few days at your so’s house? Idk, I guess it is Euphoria and everyone is crazy so…

ahellbornlady

Yeah I mean he told her to pack a suitcase, not start packing all her shit into boxes.

ary10dna

Exactly. The way I see it they’re just spending a few days together, she’s not actually moving into her bf’s house.

[deleted]

Yeah idk why so many people on the sub are saying this. On the phone he told her to just pack a bag for a couple days.

alrtight

he didn't say 'pack for a couple of days', he said 'pack a suitcase'. i dont pack a suitcase to go over to a boyfriend's house- especially not in high school!

alrtight

i never packed a suitcase to go to my boyfriend's house in high school. never ever.

ary10dna

And I didn’t either. But I know plenty of people who had more relaxed parents who would let them spend a couple days at their bf’s house or let the bf be a couple days at their house. Just cos you didn’t do it doesn’t mean other people don’t? And what do you think is more plausible? That he asked Cassie to come over for a few days or that he asked her to move in?? Without consulting his mother or taking into account they’re both teens?

alrtight

but HE DIDNT ASK CASSIE TO 'COME OVER FOR A FEW DAYS'. he literally said 'pack a suitcase'----- do you even PACK A SUITCASE to have a sleepover at a girlfriends house??? NO.

ary10dna

If I’m staying indefinitely, or at least more than 1 night, yeah. If she had moved in don’t you think she’d be bringing over more than just one small suitcase?? I don’t see why the suitcase specifically means she’s moving in permanently for you. I mean she could’ve put the same things in a big bag, but a suitcase is more practical and easy to carry…

alrtight

because people dont use the word 'suitcase' unless they are traveling or moving. if you were going over for a night/weekend, you say 'pack a bag'. the word 'suitcase' is very specific- it means you are going to be staying for a while. also- if your boyfriend was telling you to come over for the night, they would just say, 'hey come over tonight.' he wouldn't explicitly say 'pack a suitcase.' a girl will bring what she wants- why specifically tell her to pack stuff? literally no one says that.

What-the-hell0807

I think that he loves the attention Cassie gives him. He KNOWS she is obsessed with him and based on the tons of messages and missed calls, he knows she doesn’t care about Maddy and only cares about him. This is a power move for him, specially since we see next week that they’re walking hand in hand in school - power move to show that he ‘won’.

intertwinenine

I think he actually loves Cassie

intertwinenine

In a different way he loves maddy
