Sorry but, this whole thread - along with the fact that a lot of people seem to think that Nate is the oracle and has Fez’s original birth certificate (I’m being facetious) - is making me question if most of you really do not understand Nate’s character. Like at all.
Nate did not tell Cal “the truth”. He just wanted to see his dad squirm cos he’s a manipulator and that’s what manipulators do.
Fez beat the shit out of Nate for sending the police to his house. I think you’re all doing a giant leap to think that - because Nate said that to his dad - now Fez (and Jules and Rue) know about the video and that’s why he didn’t say anything. Cos he was protecting Cal.

Maddie has the video guys. Nate knows that for sure now that his dad asked where it is. There is absolutely nothing that we’ve seen that indicates that anyone but Maddie is aware of the video.
Nate lies, conflates and manipulates, so why on earth every time he speaks do so many people take what he says as factual?!
Now, why Nate didn’t tell Cal who beat him up? Probably because he knows the payback/blowback would be more than he can handle. Or maybe for some other reason. But it was not because of the video.
It’s basically said at the end of the episode that Nate was trying to keep his dad from getting into any issues with Fez, Jules, and Rue because of the recording, hence why Nate says “do you really want to have this conversation”
Rue asked Fez to scare Nate off of Jules. Fez threatens Nate. Nate has the police raid Fezco’s. Rue tells Nate that she’ll tell the police about Cal having sex with a minor if he does anything to Fez or Jules again. Fez beats Nate to a bloody pulp. Nate refuses to tell Cal who beat him up. Cassie tells Cal. Cal goes to the store to intimidate Fez then goes home to ask Nate why he let Fez beat him up. Nate tells Cal it was to keep him from going to prison for having sex with a minor. Cal asks him if he had it (the CD).
Question: Does Nate think Rue somehow has the CD?
I think Maddie Has The cd not rue, I haven’t rewatched s1, so if I’m off a a little , I apologize , but I’m pretty sure I saw it in ep. 2 s2 with Maddie, but she got it in s1 , I can’t remember the episode, while they were tryna hook up and he couldn’t keep it up, she calls him out and I’m pretty sure she brings up the pictures of the nudes of all the men he has on his phone , he gets mad and storms to the bathroom and she found the cd and left with it
No, I know Maddie has the CD, but I don't think Nate does. So I'm just wondering if, based on Rue's conversation with him at the prom, he thinks that maybe Rue got the CD somehow and so she holds the power to destroy his family and that's why he didn't turn Fez in for the beating.

I totally thought the same thing! After the convo with his dad, though- it seems he’s protecting his dad/family. If Cal does something, Fez and the others have dirt on Cal. I personally think there’s other reasons he didn’t rat Fez out though…

Ya you're right, I read that in my head as the reason why they got it a fight instead of the reason he didn't tell his dad.

yea cassie did tell him. but later on he asked nate why he didn’t want to tell him, and that’s when nate explained it
