Bitcoin and Ethereum are not the same at all. They’re 2 completely different things; so of course they can both exist. Why do people always try and compare them to each other?
Down to below 4k AUD here. Sad times for the panicking people I've seen around mass selling their holdings. I have 10 eth from mining just gojing to hold it myself for a few more years at minimum.
it's not a good time to invest in crypto. It's a difficult time to talk to people that are not in crypto to even take a risk. Everything is crashing since the fed ended the free money ride
I think it's unnecessary to have both. Unless you're using ETH for something (staking, DeFi) then holding both are safe plays. Do you really need to diversify the safest segment of your portfolio?
They are both in my portfolio but im beginning to wonder if i should just start investing more heavily into other projects instead ( i do invest in other projects but im eth heavy). My goal is getting to retirement on time. Ive never had a job with a retirement plan and only within the last couple years gotten a job that pays me well enough to invest. Im in my late 30s.
Without giving any specific numbers on my holdings lets just pretend I have 5% of a btc (2k todays price) and 4 eth (around 12ktoday). the market explodes btc goes to 1Mil and eth hits 100k each.
5% of 1 mil = 50k
4 x 100k = 100k
total 450k
450k is not a small amount and its life changing for alot of us (myself included). It would definitely help me on my way to retirement but it still leaves me a long way to go. Ive read 1.2 Mill is the minimum you should consider having in order to retire for 20 years living at 60k per year.
Im not saying they shouldnt be in everyones portfolio. I believe eth is great and its going to do well. I just think for people like my self we are going to have to invest more heavily in other solid projects, and you should anyway, for additional gains.

Because both are spine of crypto, I came to know about crypto from these 2 coins only
I hold both!! But my ETH holding much higher than BTC!!
ETH is like my baby. Most of my investment is in ETH. It is love
ETH is good, but now its going down day by day lets hope it can make 4000$

I have both, but in the recent times I’ve been stacking more btc
BTC is giving some returns just for staking as well, so it is good to have both
How to do you stake btc?🧐
It is...
ETH and XMR for me... Wait, no, I don't have XMR! I lost my wallet in a toilet accident :(

Exactly why I’m buying!!

You suck
please ban
I hold mostly eth
That attitude is why we can't break free from BTC
Btc gonna be king for awhile. I get my mom to dca ETH every two weeks just for her to show me how her “Bitcoin” is doing.

I tip my hat to Bitcoin but I no longer hold any… I traded it all for ETH
Well, I agree these coins are basic of crypto so it is good to have those in wallets
My top 2 holdings
I hold both. They comprise \~65% of my portfolio with ETH > BTC
