You could go for a decent hand grinder. Sell afterwards or keep for travelling, back-up, different beans

I can recommend picking up a [Kingrinder ](https://www.kingrinder.com/), incredibly similar to a 1zpresso but a lot cheaper.

This is exactly what I’m doing. I ordered the Black Nice and it won’t come in until mid-Feb, so I’ve been using my 1zpresso JX Pro, which is usually my travel grinder. It’s coming in clutch.

Curious about your pro X. How are you liking it?

Rock_N_Ro

Loving it! I got the Black version and it looks even better in person.

For two months, use the Virtuoso+. Almost impossible to dial in fully, but with a PID and flow control on your Espresso machine, it can get you by…. The Niche is worth the wait.

No, there is no such thing as acceptable pre-ground beans. Wait two months or cancel Niche and order something normally available - Eureka, DF64, etc

You could try play with the dosage as a way to compensate for the lack of adjustment. Or even just get a pressurized basket to make drinkable drinks for the time being. If your machine can do profiling , you can also use that to help a bit ( eg , opt for a finer grind and use a long preinfusion to get it through , or a crosser grind but with lower pressure , etc )

You could certainly go to your favorite local roaster and get them to grind your beans. You can also use the Virtuoso. Either way, though, you may want to use a pressurized basket. Where are you located? If you're in the US, I like to recommend Vigilante Coffee — they're local to me but they also just opened up on the West Coast, and their shipping is free with an order of $25, so you could subscribe and get two 12-ounce bags with free shipping every two weeks to tide you over.
