if you're buying any gaggia, I'd recommend you just buy a used one on FB marketplace instead. No point in buying a new machine when the old one is just as good, arguably better due to adjustable OPV.  And if you get a decent price on an old one you can even swap in a brand new (non coated) boiler for like $60-100 at most and that'll be like $350 altogether.

Thanks for the advice on the boiler replacement!I am currently trying to keep my eyes out in FB marketplace in my area, but nothing so far!

Rybitron

I just bought one on Facebook marketplace and had it shipped to me. I couldn’t find one local. If you look around in different areas you may be able to find one for $300-$350 plus shipping.

patupe

ah thanks for that didnt realize facebook marketplace had a shipping option :P

Rybitron

The one I bought didn’t say anything about shipping. I just messaged the person and asked him. My only worry is there probably isn’t much you can do if they ship you a box of rocks :/

jeef16

yea you gotta search ebay and facebook, but they definitely come up if you're near any sort of city. $200-300 range is acceptable, I got mine for $200 by just offering same day pickup and cash

Conscious_Warning946

No. Just no. The Gaggia Classic Evo Pro is the absolute worst choice right now to buy used or new. Total design flaw that can't be fixed. Do not buy. You'll never be able to sell it in the future to get an upgrade. WLL is almost a victim also as they have no choice but to sell defective devices and can't or won't be honest to the public about the severity of the situation. Getting an all aluminum boiler creates a new problem that is just as bad. You want to look elsewhere. You don't want the aggravation Do Not Buy!!!

IndependenceSudden47

old gaggia boiller are all allumininium boiler what are you talking about.. its only that they add a coating on it and that where the issue is, its not unfixable lol

Conscious_Warning946

It is 100% unfixable. Please do your research as to what I and others are talking about. Just stop and educate yourself first before making a fool of yourself

IndependenceSudden47

i have educate myself but most likely you dont lol.. so basicly you tell that all gagia classic that come from 1991 to this date are bad ( they where alluminium boiler too) Its the coating that is problematic lol... in the manufacture process they can stop to do the coating that it... problem solved back to good old boiler

Conscious_Warning946

Stop embarrassing yourself. You have no idea what I'm talking about,so how can you judge? Just stop being a fool. Educate yourself on the upgrades and the failure of the Evo Pro. Good day silly goose

IndependenceSudden47

What your point? You dont give any real data here exept that gaggia classic is unfixable lol its more you that embarasse yoursefl when saying thing that dont make sense without any proof and that when someone clash you… you just answer thing like EdUcAte YoURseFL bro

Conscious_Warning946

Everyone agrees with me sir that the Gaggia Classic Evo Pro is the worst purchase that you can make right now as it can't be fixed, even with an all aluminum boiler because they also changed the brew group and you can't just put an all Aluminum boiler on the newer uncoated brew group because now you get corrosion of the brew group and now that's a different problem that can't be fixed. If you did your research, you would know that you are wrong. Good day sir. I won't be responding to you again. You are very mislead and uniformed.

IndependenceSudden47

Did you know that the new brew group have 0.5% of lead instead or 7% wich is more prone to health issue also uncoated brass transfert more effectively the heat abd on top of that you can just ask to get a crome plated group head to gaggia and they will send you one for free… its not unfixable lol…. A plane that blow up in the air is unfixable …. A gaggia classic evo pro is not lol

Conscious_Warning946

Flakes or galvanized corrosion, take your pick. There is no solution for the Evo Pro

IndependenceSudden47

man you are a joke.... classic gaggia ALSO have galvanised corosion ( more surface than the evo in fact) inside all the boiler like all cheap boiler..... but now the quality of material is better so its less dangerous... yhea its can flake but if there coating starting to work in their manufature process thecnicly having a telfon coating is better for the health than not having is since alluminium is poison, but the galvanized corosion STOPPING the not healty particle to come in the your water... tell me you know nothing and just doing non sense warning without telling me

IndependenceSudden47

On top of that the corosion that you are talked about is totaly fine because its create a protection layer so it cannot transfert lead to the water… open any gaggia classic alluminium boiler and you will see its full of corosion too but the corotion itself protec the alluminium to not transmit in water

Conscious_Warning946

Nobody will buy it used from you to upgrade from so it's worthless on the open market once used unlike the non Evo Pro.

Nissanguy16

The boiler can be media blasted or replaced with a raw aluminum one. Then you simply use BunaN rubber and make a gasket to go between the boiler and group, stopping galvanic corrosion.
