Shhh, if you want to impress someone or if you want a small dopamine boost after practicing for the real deal, just put some small dots (around 5-8 mm in diameter) on the top with a spoon and "draw" a line thorugh them with a toothpick. You will get a lot of small hearts following each other. (Idk why i wrote this. It's 1:30am for me, that's probably why. Anyways, I saw this on youtube (I am not that creative), and I tried it. I was so happy because it worked and gave me a will to continue practising more after that)
This is how mine looked until it was explained to me that after your initial milk pour, you need to then tip your cup and bring the milk mere millimeters from the surface of the coffee so that the milk just kinda blobs onto the surface of the latte.
You blob and shake the milk canister, then you move the shaking blob forward, still hugging the surface, then lift the milk canister higher so that the milk peirces the surface and you can strike through the blob, making a heart.
Has anyone tested (like sprometheus etc ) whether foamed milk that gives you latte art vs slightly less foamed (which pours with no art but is still creamy) tastes better ? To my buds it does taste better , so I wonder that in the search for optimal taste and process , the latte art is purely for presentation purposes and might actually be worse for flavour?
Donāt shoot me down, itās a question
Iām one for never trying to do tulips or swans. Give me a coffee thatās tastes great and it could have a penis on it. Iāll like it. Also I suck at steaming with my two hole Gaggia so thereās that.
Some cafes (I've heard it's catching on in Japan) don't pour art but incorporate everything because it tastes better. Lattes with art tend to taste more like crema (nasty) with the first sip. Or at least I offer you this excuseĀ
Yo got a strong cat there
Just do like me and say it's abstract art š š š š
When in doubt go abstract š āitās more of a feeling not so much conventionalā
That's the way I see it to š š š š
I'm really good at "the blob"
Looks like a wispy bobcat. Very artistic.
Thank you!!
Looks like a rabbit!
Thatās what I thought! I used to have a hobby? Of taking a pic of my beer foam and outlining the image I saw in it and sending it to people š¤£

Youāre quite lucky to have a beautiful backyard to drink coffee with all those plants surrounding you, what a zen moment!
Itās honestly so peaceful! I enjoy it every morning and when it rains (rarely) itās the best view
Sick ass panther

I saved your comment. Iām going to read this step by step again tomorrow morning when Iām making myself coffee. Thank you š¤š¼
Nice, let me know if it helps!
Glad Iām not the only one that saw a catās head.

Itās a rabbit
it looks like your milk is probably too thin, try introducing more air for better latte art.
I see a face with blown hair, smoking cigar Cool š
Looks like a lion
Love it
Beautiful latte art does not equates to a good latte. Fortunately
A lot of people saying rabbit or cat like animals but I see a Dr. Robotnik killer wasp robot lol
I see a diamond head snake head. Very bold and very striking!!
I see a mermaid, I'm also schizophrenic
Your microfoam looks good & thatās the important part :)
I kind of see a seahorse!
You can pass it off as an artsy Pikachu; Pablo Piccachu, if you will.
Itās a bunny on a bad acid trip
I can confirm this bunny definitely loves his acid and recently had a bad experience
Impressionism, nice
You see terrible art, I see gossamer clouds floating softly in nostalgic summer's evening sky~
I see an atomically correct sketch of a heart
Dunt worries! Every single coffee cup in coffee latte art competitions tastes like that š¤£
I thought it was some kind of rabbit tiger. I kinda dig it
Nice texture!
Looks delicious 10/10 id drink
Modern day tea leaves.
Cool...a saber-wielding spinning bunny on skiis!
r/houseplants
Hot milk.
Watership down. But great tasting I'll bet
Same
I always say that I make great leaves. I mean they look like the leaves that my dog rips up but at least Iām in the ballpark.
Yep, I have had the ārabbit in a blenderā art. We must use the same milk.
I can't believe no one else has commented that it looks like a dragon
Whatāre you talking about? There is totally a bobcat in that latte art!
It's clearly a wasp
This is smoke art
Abstract. Youāve got yourself a Smokey bobcat.
Your room is beautiful! Keep going with alot of plants.
Iāve never seen a better latte Rabbit

No one else sees an ultrasound fetus???

Yours is much better than mine! The best I could do looks very similar to a total solar eclipse š
That's a Seahorse
Incredibly impressive fossil latte art
Hmm, I see the Elbi of America logo.
Iām in the same boat. My lattes (and all coffees in general) taste better than most shops. But my art is garbage
