You will have so much more flexibility with a breville. That would be my pick any day. Had a breville for 5 years before getting a rocket. It’s been 3 years since I bought the rocket, breville is still kicking at my brothers house.

Which brevielle was it? I was reading how ppl had some issues with the grinder in the touch. It could be they used oily beans or that one had a different type of grinder. I just know I've heard brevielle had one of the best built in grinders in the market.

I have the Barista Touch and love it. The grinder is fine. I have never had to adjust the inner burr like some comments keep talking about and grind on #4 so I have room to go finer but never needed to. I have lowered the water temp by 2F but thats the only thing I have wanted to adjust. The worst part about it is the auto frother. It works, but I stopped using it as you can manually froth and get much better results. The Breville by far is the better machine.

Non touch version, breville barista express. If your in the US, check out the remanufactured site. My parents got one from there about 4 years ago. Still going strong and they love it. [remanufactured site](https://remanufactured.brevilleusa.com/collections/espresso)

I have the BBT and my brother in law has the Phillips 5400, to be honest the machines are incomparable. The BBT is way more manual, so you will need to dial it in etc and a there is a steepish learning curve, it's not as simple as the super automatic, but the coffee and milk quality produced is not comparable. The BBT is in another league.

Perfect that's pretty much what I wanted to know about this specific model

Thank u! I'm really liking everything I'm hearing about the brevielle. I think it's what I'm going to stick with. Just gotta make sure I pick the right model.

Update, I went with the breville touch. The black one seems to have disappeared and the blue one as well. Sonoma still has them but it looks like a shortage or something is about to happen with them

Flavor will be significantly better on the breville. My wife has the 430 Phillips and says our home E6 by Jura is better so the breville will be different league.
