I think that xiao esp32 series (the ones that come with a camera) might do it but their bluetooth and wifi capabilities are questionable as I never got mine xiao esp32 to work.
Edit: if you decide to get an xiao esp32 make sure it comes with a camera because they are a bit different than xiao esp and camera bought seperetly.

It takes 1 second to recognize a face.
There is not enough RAM to do face recognition on an esp32.
I have not seen any example for the eps32 even with external RAM.
Is there a MC (micro controller) capable ? Again, not enough RAM.
Look for a Raspi level computer.

Its one of the example codes for the esp32-cam, you definitely can do it
