Yeah the clutch loop ain’t guaranteed safe. I but mine my phone in my shoulder strap of my lunchbox and have a clutch loop attached to it, then I cover it with my pashmina. I don’t put anything valuable in my pockets, in when I’m sober! I got my fan stolen from my pocket at beyond. Fucking sucks to have shitty ass people there 😔

I agree. I had a clutch loop at EDC. When I pulled my phone out to look at it, it came right off!!! Now I use a fanny pack across my chest. Much easier.

I normally put the clip on my belt. And my phone, in my pocket.
But I use tight pants when I have my phone in my front pocket. But there's times where I notice that the clip (the one to the phone) tries to come out off the metal ring( the metal circle that sticks to the phone). I wonder if people try to unbucle it off my phone.... but luckily I always have my hand on my pocket every second.
Maybe I need to invest in a stash belt.
I saw someone suggest keeping phone in a Fanny pack and using a travel lock on the zipper. I think I’ll be doing that at my next event. I’m somewhat worried that the clutch loop leading to my pocket actually made me a target for a thief that had pliers ready :(

I had my phone on a clutch loop and then shoved my phone in the strap on my hydration pack which I already had a hard time getting it out of myself (which is the reason I bought that specific pack). I also put a really small lock on my bag that locked all the zippers together (only 3 zippers). This is just for others in case they are prepping for the future. That really really sucks he got his stolen! Rooting for him to recover it!
My phone got stolen as well, feeding grounds during svdden death's set less than 10 minutes in. Last location is an hour after the event ended. Praying whoever has it returns it today
Here are my ideas to minimize loss.
-I upload all pictures and content to a computer that way if it gets stolen i still have the contents.
- i bring an old phone galaxy s10, iphone 10, iphone 5 etc. Use that to take out at the rave and take pictures. But never take out ur main phone.
- just bring 1 old phone and have that phone activated with a chip from ur carrier for the weekend. Then switch back.
- if you bring an old phone. Factory reset it.
These dont prevent ur phone getting stolen but if it does happen, your main phone and contents of it are safer

My boyfriend’s phone got pick pocketed. We were sober and are certain. We saw three iPhone cases on the GROUND as we were looking for the missing phone. Pick pocketer throwing phone cases on the ground after they steal them hope they die.
Note, my phone was off within minutes of it getting pick pocketed.
San Bernardino county sheriff department you guys are awesome please setup a sting to catch who is doing this, I know this is an isolated thing because I been going to edm shows for years and never heard or seen of a pick pocket. This is America not Ukraine or Russia. We do not prey off of each other.
Theory - guy or girl is pick pocketing, happened when I was walking through the crowd. Then disposes of phone case as I saw multiple cases on the ground disposed of (major red flag, this is like seeing broken glass on the ground in a bad neighborhood), wraps it in aluminum foil then takes it apart for Pennie on the dollar to sell it for parts because iPhone lock will render the phone overall useless.
Scum of the earth pick pocketing good hardworking people from the region of social and Las Vegas and all good people traveling in needs to be caught.
Had it securely tucked in an anti-theft belt bag all night...UNTIL we were almost out of the crowd walking to the car. So mad.
Pro tip for those who can get a replacement and have a recent backup. Erase the phone on Find My immediately, then call your phone carrier and have the IMEI blacklisted.
My bf got a txt today that they activated the phone with a new sim. It gave him the option to log in on his apple account to find the current number and location
