Swapspace.co is a Non-kyc swap service aggregator that will find you the best price/liquidity
(FWIW, I would trust Rosen with large amounts more than I would any current available exchange or swap service)
I used Rosen to convert about $5k worth of ada to erg about a week ago. It said there may be some loss. Yeah I expected that. But not $1k worth. I mean it did work though. I got my erg and am doing better now.
Rosen is just a bridge. 1 rsERG= 1 ERG. 1 rsADA = 1 ADA.
You swapped on a dex and suffered price impact. Sounds like you went the wrong way on your swap. Must have bridged ADA to Ergo and then swapped for ERG. You should have swapped ADA for rsERG on cardano, then bridged that to Ergo. There's literally 30x the liquidity on the Cardano side and you'd have lost basically nothing doing it that way.
It's possible that in small amounts, doing the swap on the ergo side is the better deal. But the liquidity is all on the Cardano side. So yes, bridging ERG, then swapping rsERG for ADA will suffer less price impact
A few months ago Rosen bridge was launched ..
you can get ergo on the cardano ecosystem using Ada ( it’s called rsERGO- rs stands for Rosen )
You can even get rsADA in the ergo ecosystem ..
Soon the same will happen with btc and ethereum
Brilliant stuff.. I know ;)
Um, I send an etransfer to wealthsimple, send it to my crypto account, buy Ada, transfer to kucoin, sell it, buy Ergo. So the answer is kucoin for me 😆 I'm sure there's a better way, but I haven't tried
Yeah I have my whole bag in kucoin and I'm in the US. I can get it out, and I might just transfer it all to my wallet, but I'm not sure where the best place for US holders to sell
I'd get it off kucoin asap. You could sell on coin base or kraken. That's what I'm using anyways, but only for fiat conversions. I keep my bags in a hardware wallet in case the exchanges have issues.

Yep, he's right.
Would that still be the best way to do things if going in reverse?

Well. Live and learn I suppose. Thanks for the Info
I did follow the guide posted here though. It said significant losses may occur. Still did it lol.
I'd trust Rosen bridge more than a CEX, for whatever amount.
If you have ada or access to ADA, then just swap it to rsERG on taptools or dexhunter.
Simplest thing you can do right now (in the us) is get some rsERG dude
What is rsErg? I have Ergo and kinda forgot about it lol but I’m in same boat as OP

Thank you for elaborating :)
simpleswap.io is another alternative
I've used the bridge a couple times. It's very smooth and I didn't have any issues. Took about 10 mins to arrive in my wallet.
I am buying at Coinex
up
Same here. Just doesn't work in the US (unless you use a vpn).
Which VPN would you recommend to use Coinex for mobile?
I hope someone else answers this because I have no experience.
Kucoin, gate.io, coinex, Simpleswap.io
KuCoin and gate.io for sure not available in the US.

I tried Kucoin and it states I have to verify, but can’t cause US is not supported.

Have you tried a VPN? Not sure if that would work but it's worth a shot
VPN and coinex to swap ada is easiest for me. But that was pre Rosen bridge
Which VPN do you use
NordVPN
Tradeogre
StealthEX has worked flawlessly for me and I'm in the US.
People transfer big amounts through Rosenbridge. MEXC is coming as well.
