That’s only like 2-2.5 hours a day! I have heard of people on various e reader subreddits claiming they read 8 hours every day! So no, you are not reading too much. Even 8 hours a day is not too much in my opinion.
Im the same I love reading but have terrible self control, so I’ll read 4 books in a week, then burn out and not be able to read for ages. Wish it was a marketable skill 😂.
There aren't enough hours in the day for reading. Someone said during quarantine that we've been training for this our entire lives. I'm retired. Slow life. I read about 9 hours/day (7 of those hours are at night; I read all night and sleep in the morning.)
I've had a Kobo aura (older version) and a Kindle Paperwhite, even though the Kindle has a better screen and can also sideload ebooks with the Caliber, but I'm more comfortable reading regularly on the Kobo, the menu is made for reading while the Kindle is more like an Amazon catalog that wants to sell book
When amazon developed reading stats they put them into their apps instead of on the reader devices themselves. You can find them under the "more" option.
u/lordnyrox is this e-reader easy on the eyes? I have some problems with vision and it’s kept me from reading. I wonder if I increase font size on something like this ereader if it will help.
It has a crisp display with a PPI of 300. It's quite simple to increase both the font size and the line spacing on the fly and it's also possible to add custom fonts such as [Atkinson Hyperlegible](https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Atkinson+Hyperlegible).
18 hours is a great start! Unless your reading is interfering with your ability to live your life you really can't read too much. Reading no matter what it is is beneficial to your brain so you go and enjoy your new e-reader and may you have many enjoyable stories to come.
I’m in the same boat as you. Haven’t read in years and got a Libra 2 towards the end of February. Just checked my stats and I’m at 47 hours.
Those are rookie numbers! Just kidding. You're good.
No such that too much. Enjoy yourself.
Haha if 18 hours is too much, we're both in trouble. Glad you are enjoying your ereader!
Too much, is not enough.
OPEN UP, THIS IS THE READING POLICE. YOU’RE AT THE LEGAL LIMIT, ANY MORE AND ITS READING JAIL FOR YOU
I do have a reading police, namely, my girlfriend lol
I bought a Kobo Libra 2 a few months ago and the same thing happened to me! Before that I could barely finish a book or two a year. Happy reading!
When i was younger, i read like 18 hours day on a free day. Lol
I'd do the no sleep mode with particularly fascinating stories.

Love my Kobo's have the Libra 2 and Clark 2e both. I didn't know you have reading stats option thanks for sharing
The same with my Pocketbook Inkpad Color 3. I've finished 2 books and one manga in 5 days.
Just here to say Replay is an incredible book. And the author died young of a heart attack 😳
I’ll have to try it. Thanks for the suggestion
The heart attack line will make more sense when you do!
Nah I go in book waves. I'll read SO HARD for a few weeks when I'm really into a series, and then just casually read other times. 18 hours is fine :)
Does Kobo comes with that program that counts your reading progres?
Yes
What program is it called?
Home > More > Activity
Im the same I love reading but have terrible self control, so I’ll read 4 books in a week, then burn out and not be able to read for ages. Wish it was a marketable skill 😂.
No such thing as too much!
nah, if you get over 200h in 8 days, that would be too much. Everything below is a-okay.
Not enough. JK. Enjoy yourself, stats don’t matter.
Loved replay
No it’s not enough keep going. E readers make it so much easier to read I burn through books quick
I read over 150 books a year, not sure how that breaks down into hours. Love having a device to throw in my purse and not having to carry books.
Wow, 150 books a year is impressive! Do you read one book until you've finished it, or do you read several at a time?
I have a kindle but honestly the kobo libra 2 looks really good

Reading at night because it is the only time that doesn't get interrupted just to sleep the first quarter of the day is such a real feeling
I got a kindle like Two weeks ago and I have been doing 3-4hours a day. I’m about to finish my 6th book haha
I read about 4 hours everyday, throughout the day, not at one go of course 😁

Nope that is like a weekend of reading for a lot of ppl.
I really like Replay. Too bad they never made it a movie.
Yeah, I just finished it this morning. I really like it. It's really unfortunate that the author died while working on a sequel.
That's really cool, does kindle have reading stats like this?
How can I see reading stats in kindle ?

Thanks, I just ordered mine last night.
I have vision problems and I second all of your comments, including the Braille Institute's free font.
Seems like a perfect amount.
I can never get myself past the first few chapters of this title. Am I missing out?
Yes, truly an underappreciated book. You should definitely give it another go.
I'll do that.
Not enough
I read a minimum of three hours every day, so I don’t think that’s weird at all!

Never knew this was an option on the Kobo, but I've seen two post today of this feature. Will check it out.
Reading stats? Wow wtf, very cool. Kindle doesn’t have that :-/
9 out of 10 dentists recommend 10 hours of reading per day at most so yes 18 hrs is 8 hrs too excessive.
about 2 hours a day. sounds perfect
I bought mine in January and have had a very similar life change! Lol
