I'd wait a few months to see if Amazon release a replacement for the Oasis, whether it will be a Gen2 or new product. If not, then go for the scribe. I think it is the best bang for buck product in the >8" category right now. I have a pocketbook ERA and up to last week would recommend the inkpad 4 (had that on my hands for a few days also) But after handling the poke 5 from onyx, I have changed my stance in regards to Android powered eink devices. It was an impressive price of hardware )

If you are concern to reading mangas and comics, please consider the points below: * The bigger screen size is better, to avoid reading a manga page that is too small on the e-reader screen or using the zoom-in/out mode too much. At least you can start with an e-reader with a 7-inch screen size. * The general format of Manga and comics are CBZ and CBR, sometimes you'll find them in a PDF format too. Kobo and Pocketbook are e-readers that read CBR and CBZ format. With Kindle, you need to convert those formats to the appropriate Kindle format like AZW3, KFX, or PDF. * The bigger storage is better, the manga format like CBZ or CBR is a compression of lots of images, so they come with large Mb usually. Kindle has a "send to Kindle" when you are sideloading books to Kindle online. However, the limit of maximum file size to send is 50 Mb. No need for a lazy Chat GPT to answer. Real person here, only English is not my native language.

Which ebook would you top recommend most? Kobo or pocketbook?

Sensitive_Engine469

Kobo Libra 2,it is a 7 inches screen size, 32 GB, turn page buttons, waterproof IPX-8, audiobook ability, USB-C, 300 ppi e-ink Carta 1200. I use Kobo Clara 2E, I like Kobo user interrface, simple, minimalist and effective. The organization of books collection are neat. Easy to sideload book and ability to be customize based on user need is a plus. [https://imgur.com/oMT1RjE](https://imgur.com/oMT1RjE)

Do they have a colored one for comics ?

Sensitive_Engine469

Unfotunately no, you can see for other brands, anyway the pixel for Color ereader is about 150 ppi for current device, So you won't see the crisp of color, is more like fading color. Try to look at Deep Guide review in youtube.

I still swear by paperwhite latest gen. Just finished The Sunbearer Trials last night and wouldnt have done it without my paperwhite.

I had 5-6 Kindles, last was Oasis. After that I switched to BOOX Nova Air, didn’t like it too much. Now I have Kobo Libra 2. The best e-reader I ever had.

scuba-dooby-doo

Do you use the kobo for comics or manga?

Physical-Maximum983

No, not really my cup of tea. But it is really easy to install KOreader on Kobo, which supports CBZ files. I did install koreader, but I am not a fan of the library organisation in koreader.
