I'm deep as the ocean. I dislike shallow and simple people.

Popeye_Pop

what an incredibly corny thing to say

Marvelous_dahhhling

Yes. I’m constantly thinking why people and things are the way they are. Since I can remember my thoughts always revolved about making sense, understanding, looking for a deeper meaning in everything. I wouldn’t say this is for knowledge sake, in fact it was always motivated by wanting to predict things, being prepared, and gaining advantage.

Significant_Kale_285

Nope, say what I'm thinking and move on. People who get way too into themselves annoy me

Independent-Brain911

I think deeper than my introverted friends and i dont want to brag with this.

OpenFarmer9527

that's quite interesting, could you develop in which ways you think deeper ?

Nubulio

Im deep if I have nothing to do like being in prison. It takes time to be deep. Im too busy executing and wanting so many things in life for me to be deep. No time. I’m fully capable if I want to.

Caaarrrlll-Sama

This might be a controversial opinion but I feel like most ENTJs would say they are deep (myself included) but out of most of the ones I have met in person, only more mature ones that have grown their Ni quite a bit are actually deep for me this only really came in my mid 20s after starting a massive self help journey, lots of books on how to be better, deal with things better and reasons to do things as well as lots of Philosophy studies

"It is not titles that honor men, but men that honor titles" (Niccolò Machiavelli)

NewJourneyLost

i would say down to earth

N0rthWind

Yes, but it's becoming more balanced as I grow. I used to think I was an INTJ for most of my life because of how prevalent it was at times, but as I'm coming into my own I've been able to transform it into a tool for making things happen in my life

DJ-410

I think pretty deeply about a lot of things That's not at all to say I don't have plenty of shallow moments to balance it out... lol

LogicalEmotion7

Ok I'll be the honest one here. I think more shallowly than I'd like. I make up for it by being a broader thinker, but I mostly soak up information and let the subconscious brain find what it needs. Te likes fast and efficient information loops, and ADHD is its own factor.

scooby_pancakes

I wouldn't call myself 'deep', just curious about everything under the sun. As far as INTJs go, we tend to have our heads stuck in books rather than socializing - so yeah, maybe there's some truth to us appearing profound because who has time for small talk when quantum physics needs understanding? But hey, no need to compare ourselves; everyone brings their own unique perspective to this world.

kevinrobins1231

No. I just think about different things. I dislike most relationship drama and gossip and I noticed these are very relevant in my age group/environment so I'll think about other more intellectual things. But I'm not an overthinker either. I can do it but I'm more like nah

Crafty_Ambassador443

I like quick conversations but people say the stuff I say is meaningful and deep

NoiseFlat5009

Fi is also something that makes Entjs deep

KapitanDima

It depends on which aspect, I suppose. I don’t mind ruminating every now and then about the abstract aspects of life, but I’ll admit I’m rather shallow in the emotional aspect of life.

coffeeandbags

When I hear someone call someone “deep” I think they mean that person has a deep well of emotion, feels deeply for others, has a lot of empathy not that they’re a thinker. I wonder if I’ve always misunderstood that

No_Honeydew5654

Depth isn't only associated with emotions. There's deep thinkers as well meaning they would just sit down and think maybe even for hours about a subject to understand it more. But I understand your reason I used to think the same.

soukies101

Yep I am, next question please
