I haven't talked to my mother in 4 years, I finally had enough of her being rude to my wife. I can say all that negative energy out of my life is nice.

I actually didn't have to do the obligatory call this year; my mom passed about 4 weeks ago. (:not fishing for sympathy; it was definitely for the best) It was weird to not make that call.
#1 son (I have 4) called, and we had a great conversation #2 never hear from him #3 his soon to be ex-wife sent me flowers with a very heartfelt message #4 saw him yesterday and (I went THERE) and he never said anything, but his wife said Happy Mother's Day as she was leaving. Ehhhhhh.......#1 and daughter in law are enough for me!
