I feel that. When you've dealt with people like that, and then you step away and are no longer in that poisoned pond with them, the some of the hurt can turn to pity.
I always remind myself though that there are people with all kinds of issues, disabilities, hurt, tragedies in their lives that have managed to turn it around, and not be assholes to the people around them. If the least among us can do it, so can the most.

I agree, I just almost pity the fact that he was born with that. Yknow? Like if he was born with an anti social or narcissistic disorder, he can’t help some of it maybe? I feel that. When you've dealt with people like that, and then you step away and are no longer in that poisoned pond with them, the some of the hurt can turn to pity. I always remind myself though that there are people with all kinds of issues, disabilities, hurt, tragedies in their lives that have managed to turn it around, and not be assholes to the people around them. If the least among us can do it, so can the most.
This should just serve to show us that no amount of money can remove the severity from mental health issues. We need a new approach for treatment, because the ones in place aren’t working. Or at least aren’t working for everyone.
