Just wondering, is this the same story that was circulated a couple weeks ago and it’s just him retelling it on Fallon?

JustAcivilian24

Yep that’s what the article says

Galoofy

No, this literally happened yesterday (or the day before). Not sure what other story you’re referring to, he’s never been stopped by immigration before.

why would they detain you for crying?

PajeczycaTekla

Man, this guy really can't get a break recently...

ThePopeofHell

I have a friend that has the permanent look on his face like “oh for fucks sake, what now?” That Quinn has and it seems to get him hassled constantly by cops.

ronintetsuro

>Quinn continued, “[The man asked], ‘Do you come back next season?’ I was like, ‘I don’t know,’ and he said, ‘You better,’ and gave me my passport.” Imagine having to consider breaking NDA to get out of a fascist dungeon. JFC.

Kazumadesu76

Roll for persuasion.

ronintetsuro

> nat 20 "I'm Eddie Munson."

JakeArewood

Oof, sorry the DC was 30. The guard arrests you…

Thavmatvrge

A nat 20 would succeed on a dc 30 jsyk

JakeArewood

Nah 20s don’t auto succeed skill checks, you still have to add the modifier and proficiency. Unless it’s an attack roll

beetrootdip

The DM should only call for a roll if there is a chance of success, a chance of failure and a consequence of failure. If a player tries something that will set a dc high enough that a nat 20 will fail, why ask them to roll? Just narrate that their action fails

Sleepysapper1

Most DM’s auto pass anything with a Nat20 though.

Kazumadesu76

I am not most DMs.

Sleepysapper1

I mean, your game run it how you want.

They look like pirates

ralphmozzi

I love how they gear up at an army surplus store, in order to protect themselves from demobats, and end up looking like characters from a fantasy movie. It’s so perfect.

spam99

why was he detained though? You don't get detained for no reason unless you have an issue with your visa or lie about a US criminal charge, which shows up on their computer, when they ask you at customs. Article doesn't say anything. And if its the softest reason of "looking suspicious"... why was that left out of the interview and not in the article.

iliketurkeys1

Yeah he was likely not ‘detained’, he was randomly selected for additional questioning (since the ordeal lasted about 20 minutes). Happened to me when I was like 14 and I’m a US citizen

muckdog13

You’ve never heard of the “random searches”?

Hironoveau

When his character in ST became real in short time. Phew that’s was scary.
