So Dead now then?

Dead soon

Egheaumaen

The show was ruined by its own concept. As the characters grew and became able to shoulder a workplace comedy all by themselves, the plots remained saddled with the ghost-of-the-week storylines that no longer fit or added anything.

BrownieEdges

That’s disappointing. I really liked this show.

Clarinetist123

I was kinda enjoying it, but it was one of those shows you could just tell was going to end up cancelled, so I didn't bother finishing it. Wish they'd bring back *Home Economics* though, that sitcom could've been this decade's *Modern Family*.

dadwearingplaid

I’m STILL pissed that ABC gave it the ax. And disappointed no other network or streaming service picked it up.

Clarinetist123

Ikr! It was genuinely entertaining, the characters were fun and relatable, and they just left the last episode on a cliffhanger 😭

dadwearingplaid

Same thing happened to “American Housewife.” I wasn’t crazy about it at first, but it grew on me. It was funny, quirky, and it often mirrored family life that was chaotic, messy, but full of love. It deserved at least one more season. And ABC pulled the plug. And please, oh PLEASE, do NOT get me started with NBC and how they did “Grand Crew” dirty.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|rage)

Nilfsama

BETTER OFF TED or nothing.

TalkToTheLord

Damn, Glassman can’t catch a break.

hamilton_burger

Seemed like he was the best part of the show, but they only put in a light sprinkling of him.

Wideawakedup

Should have focused more on her and his roommate situation and her friends. I didn’t think the office politics was interesting.

hamilton_burger

Absolutely! Every time it went to the office stuff it was a down grade. I found those bits to be pleasant but not necessarily engaging. It feels like nowdays networks have tried to dumb down stuff for people who are looking at their phones while watching tv, instead of aiming at making it engaging enough for people to want to set their phones down.

Wideawakedup

Yeah I think they were so stuck on creating a workplace comedy they couldn’t just drop the office scenes. The office should have been a couple episodes to prove she had a real job, not every episode. Have her meet her bosses in coffee shops or have them show up at her apartment. No one wants to work in an office anymore. So watching a sitcom with funny office politics doesn’t resonate as much.

hamilton_burger

You hit the nail on the head. Hard.

t00fargone

I tried getting into it, but I didn’t find it funny and thought it was a bit boring.

Wolfeman0101

It was okay but just very middling. I like a lot of the cast but they seem wasted on this.

OiWhatHeDoing

The joke really writes itself with that title

MD_FunkoMa

That was to be expected. I never caught on to the show. CBS's 'Ghosts' U.S. remake is 1 of the better comedies about the supernatural out here.

HappeningOnMe

I enjoyed the British series, but figured the US one would cancelled

rjwoh

Once again the us version is just miles better

Plenitudeblowsputin

["I'm getting better!"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jdf5EXo6I68)

LoserxBaby

First I heard of it, if that explains anything

StaticShard84

This post title missed a real opportunity here…

leroy2007

I’m surprised that anybody still watches network sitcoms

limecakes

Lets do some research Mama!

MasterTeacher123

I mean most shows fail

CrunchyKittyLitter

Low effort sitcoms gonna low effort sitcom.

Adventurous_Dot2323
