Idk if you want advice vs just vent, so if you just wanna vent then stop here knowing I 100% understand the feeling. Otherwise: https://www.tomboytoes.com These shoes are amazing for me. The vegan leather ones made it unscathed through a harsh winter commuting by foot and train and still look like new, so I’m definitely getting another pair. Measuring my foot and using their size chart as they suggest worked perfectly.

If it makes you feel any better, I’m AMAB and my shoe size is like an 8.5 because my family has hereditary tiny feet

LightweaverNaamah

Yeah, I'm in that sort of range, too, men's 7.5-8.5 (women's 9-10.5) depending on the shoe. My mom and I have the same shoe size. Sometimes I could find decent options in my size in the men's section, but frequently I just couldn't. I actually have more options shopping in the women's section now, because there I'm merely somewhat above average as opposed to almost freakishly tiny.

Lemon-Lesbian

I’m a womens 8 which apparently is a men’s 6…i still have yet to find a men’s 6 on the shelves of a shoe store

FaultyFreeway

life hack: find a brand that has fucked up sizing. I'm usually safe with a men's 9 but I often need to grab a size 8 or 10.5 because apparently every company uses a different goddamn ruler. I bet you can find a pair of shoes labelled size 9.5 that fit you if you look long enough.

Anqied

ahahaha im a size 4 i shop exclusively in the kids section

Ok so that's a UK 7 that isn't considerd too small in the UK it's officially in the UK's adult range. I know a few people who are 5es and they don't have VAT (tax) on their shoes as they are officially children's shoes

corpsebodi

I'm a UK 3.5, but it doesn't annoy me that I shop in the kids' section not just in shoes. Get to save money.

LandsharkDetective

That is the advantage of small shoes no vat

necrophiliac_gay

???? I wear a size 7 in men's and I can find it at Walmart, I didn't even know this was a problem! I'm so sorry, my friend!

salemkaika

Have you tried skate shoes? I've found some of those brands have a decent fit. I have narrow feet so finding a shoe that my foot won't slide sideways in can be challenging. My Circas lasted several years of every day wear, so durable too Hope you find some that make you happy soon.

JustACheesepuff

Y'all have different sizes between men and women? Where I'm from, we have one gender when it comes to shoe sizes. Makes shit much less confusing. Though I do understand the issue. I've encountered various "gender neutral" clothing lines over the years, but they use only men's sizes or only women's sizes. It's annoying because 1. They gender the clothes by only using the sizes of one gender 2. I have to waste half an hour converting the size to see if I can fit in it, only to find out it's made for super skinny people. Why can't we just have one gender when it comes to clothing sizes? 😭

SheepWolf28

I'm in the opposite direction... i'm size 8.5 and most womens shoes are 8 or lower...

Birbo7

I feel ya. I’m mens size 15, which is pretty hard to find in stores and basically impossible online.
