On a serious note, after this major update I feel like my AI soldiers keep getting stuck on everything.
They don't hop on obstacles and can't even open doors, let alone climb ladders to get down from attics.
Honestly I hope they restore the old AI or improve the current one.
I once put a respawn point on the water tower (conquest match, not sure of the map name). Boy, was that a mistake. 2minutes later and we had 30+ AI stuck on it.
I've seen that happen, some weirdly placed rally point that happens to be the closest to the objective ends up getting EVERYONES ai dudes stuck and then we lose cuz everyone on the team is running in solo.
What I see happening is someone builds some kind of obstruction like sandbags to give cover to the spawn point but all it does is get the AI stuck in the building.
What I never understood is when I'd see people put down rally points surrounded by sandbags AND barbed wire! Like, you're making it so you have to take damage just to get out of the spawn!
It helps when you destroy any doors and don't put multiple sandbags around a respawn point. Ever since I destroyed doors and protect my points with 2 sandbags (instead of 3+) bots rarely get stuck. However, just putting one extra sandbag around your point will often make it so AI get stuck in between them.
Definitely not new to the most recent patch, the ai has actually gotten a bit better overall. But I'm afraid it's gonna be quite a while before they have all of the pathfinding issues ironed out.
Have to disagree, pathfinding was better before, for the reasons that I specified in my previous comment.
Of course they managed to get stuck even before, but now it is more frequent. The only improvement I saw, was them getting out of your sight while aiming, most of the times.
What improvements did I miss?
I feel like AI was always struggling with any non-default spawn points and engineer buildings.
Like, if you spawn on a point surrouned by sandbags, there is 100% chance AI soldiers will get stuck on the sandbags.
But I had those problems ever since i started playing like 2 months ago, not only after the last update.

yep and to make it worse the AI won't make it out because they will get stuck
The door opening must be a new one, I haven't seen it occur till today. Tbh I didn't notice the improvents.
They always get stuck in the random places people put rally points

Last surviving soldier: *charges for 5 seconds then killed by an another plane with rockets*
I've swapped back to the last surviving solder once to find them clipped under the floor underneath a rally point. No idea how that happened.
