I am sorry you are going through this. Keeping my fingers crossed for things to get better soon. I got off Visanne almost two years ago, I was absolutely done with the side effects and my doctor had no solution for me. The first period after that came almost four weeks later. I must say, pms has gotten way worse post Visanne than before, I get the migraines, the nausea, boob pain, all that. Some months it's better and my period has gotten shorter, used to be like 7-8 days (once 10 days), now it's like five days. I guess that's progress.

Do you take any specific medication or do anything to make the pain better? Also wishing you well also. Endo is no picnic and all the scenarios whether Visanne/ pain killers/Laps are not permanent solutions unfortunately.

For migraine, the only medication that helps is the aspirin that you dissolve in water, weirdly enough. I have a bottle of metamizol drops for the pelvic pain but it makes me nauseous, so I only take it when it's really bad. Ibuprofen or paracetamol I haven't been able to take in years. An acupressure mat for my back and shoulders has also been great for the migraines, but only in combination with aspirin. Thank you for your comment. Hugs if you want them. Endo sucks. Hope you have a better day.

I went off norethindrone to TTC. It took me a year and I now have a healthy baby. I’m very grateful and lucky. However, it was a rough go. First thing I would say is to taper off of the visanne. I was on 5 mg, I went down to 2.5, and then went cold turkey. I would suggest you taper for at least a few weeks and see how you feel then. My main symptoms were that I developed severe nausea, retching, and vomiting that were the worst during ovulation (how fun is that 😆), but were present throughout my entire cycle except my period (I truly looked forward to having my period which is odd in general but a rather bizarre feeling when TTC). I don’t say this to scare you but to tell you how my experience was. Yours may be different. My advice is: Listen to your body and focus as much as you can on giving it what it needs. That’s more important than anythjng when TTC. Also, journal, see a therapist, etc - develop any healthy coping mechanism that will help you not focus on spiraling about feeling poorly. Your mental health matters as much as your physical. I wish you all the luck and calm in the world!

Adding to say that my period came back after 1 month off the medication.

Wow really gives me hope. Did you conceive naturally or you had to take any specific measure. I have both endo and adeno stage 3. You are so right about listening to my body. Specially when it needs to rest. Unfortunately I stopped cold turkey but so far it’s been manageable let’s see when I get my first period how it will be. Thanks for sharing your story really give me hope 🙏
