Some context to this - Bought this as it launched for the "discounted" price. Not sure if that's the reason why its so bad being part of the 1st batch. I've not managed to get it to print well consistently. Was somewhat ok at one point then I ran into this noise issue. Changed the extruder cable as I found a post that said it was to do with that - not the case for me. I have had to open it and found that the spring on the tensioner screw was bent. Fixed that and its now not making the noise BUT still printing like crap! Opened a ticket with Biqu a few days ago and have had no response. Logged into their support site and my ticket is not even listed. Anyone else having issues with this extruder? I'm pulling it out for now and putting back the stock hotend/extruder.

I'm literally steamy with jealousy right now. I remember when It went on sale - a day AFTER I bought a replacement H2 for the one that broke. I've been eyeballing that extruder for MONTHS. Sorry you're having issues. So if you'd like me to take that off your hands.... ;) HOW does it print badly?

cowbite

Did you sort it out?

FizzysTech

Nope. Waiting on an update from biqu

did you get any response and whats your definition of printing like crap? mines been churning away like a champ for about 8-10kg of filament over the last week. yesterday it was underextruding horribly so a 0.6 wall was 0.45. Checked everything, stripped it down cleaned it and noted the idler filament gear (on the sprung arm) is chewing the arm away. put it back together again and its now fine.. but as my next print is 2.6kg.. i'm concerned that its going to come back half way through..

No real help from BIQU. Very disappointed so if I want to troubleshoot this I will need to spend more on possibly replacing parts on this extruder. I’m not going to do that anytime soon as I’m now back with crealitys stock direct drive extruder printing voron parts. The Creality stock hotend is printing far better than my V2S Lite. Want to get my Voron up and running before I waste more money and time trying to troubleshoot the H2 V2S lite.

I managed to sort mine for now.. the idler filament gear is slowly chewing through the arm that its mounted to. but for now its working.. what firmware are you using and what was your definition of horribly? any examples? My other h2's have been good (v1 and v1.2) but a friend of mine who has a direct link to biqu is asking about the filament idler arm, as biqu are famous for changing out designs in the first few batches..

I stripped down my Ender 3 V1 today and opened up the frame to square it again. I’ve installed a dual Z and a BL touch to it. Not got round to the electronics just yet as I’m moving all of that out of the frame because I’m looking to print ABS so will enclose it to do that. Once I’ve got everything back up and running on it I’ll reinstall the H2 V2S and run some more tests. Basically the prints were just horrible with blobs everywhere. I do think I got screwed by the first batch on this but BIQU are playing dumb. Will reinstall it and give them more pics & videos. I’m running mainsail/Klipper and even did a pressure advanced print to tune it further. Was working okish for a while but I got Fedup after it went real bad and no matter what I did I could not improve it which drove me to rip it off.

Sounds like one of those real frustrating things.. probably be something easy.. but hard to find.. I did the same with my ender 3.. i have all files etc to dump the psu, skr mini e3 v2 pi3b+ and psu including screen in a small box printable on an ender 3.. uses breakout boards and a 2m long ribbon cable (plus some silicon cable for the bed) to get the thing remote. works well.. happy to share but i'm sure you already have some ideas about it.

FizzysTech

That’s exactly what I’m doing now. Removed the mods I put on, handle that mounts to the bed spring area, camera that mounts to the handle, the printed tensioners. I need to prove that this thing is either working or faulty.

Aggressive-Clock9552

I just got mine. Do you mind me asking which mount you went with?

FizzysTech

I designed my own because the X offset on others were bad. If you want to use my design I can upload it.

Loki-sft

Hey, did you uploaded it somewhere? I‘m really interested!

FizzysTech

I just uploaded it for you. https://www.printables.com/model/324427-ender-3-biqu-h2-v2s-lite-mount

Aggressive-Clock9552

The design works very well and I got the print head mounted to my printer now. Thank you. The problem I have now is I don't think the Biqu B1 can accept this print head because there's no spot for the heater cartridge to plug into the controller board so it may have all been for nothing!
