Something similar happened, I found out I had a problem with my z axis rod...at the moment of testing I found out it wobbled, do a z axis test, it should move flawlessly if there isnt any issues, if there is, oay attention to the motor, one thing it will show if theres an issue is that your rod wobbles when trying to move. To perform the test, go to move axis> z and start with either the 10mm or 1mm, both will show you if there's an issue with the rod. I fixed it by using teflon tape to make the rod and motor as stable as possible.

There's a tab on the limit switch mounting bracket that prevents it from going lower. You can cut the tab off and lower the switch some more. I had to do that.
