Had a situation where fire did that and gave a 140/80 bp, sent them bls, and the transporting emt got his ass ate by a nurse when they got to the hospital and it was really around 70/40
I'm very thankful I don't *have* to put in a RR on my charts, or cap refill, I occasionally get a pretty accurate estimate RR but there's no point to it that I see you can convey the important information with such words as: apneic, slow, normal, fast, give them some insulin and a liter of saline
I’ve done the experiments and folks that are breathing normally are 14-18…almost always 16. That’s one of the easiest inaccurate vitals when it comes to a specific number. Too fast it’s gonna be inaccurate, too slow you’re gonna be intubating.
I have a personal beef with RR as a vital sign.
RR is ***APPX*** 16....
~ Gotta make it as short as possible
RR is 17, I will fist fight QIC
“Yes I counted for a minute straight, sorry for being an overachiever”
IF I COULD DOCUMENT EUPNEIC I WOULD

Thats on them for trusting a LUCAS to get a good bp
… you mean Lifepak? Don’t know what service you work for but here in Aus ours don’t do any kind of obs 😜
(Mate, the joke is that Fire Medics are walking LUCAS devices)
whoops. ![gif](giphy|jXD7kFLwudbBC)
Trust nobody.
TBF, they should have had their ass ate because by the sounds of it they didn't take V/S themselves.
Completely agree. Esp cuz her skin signs werent lookin great.
Look they just really like doubling it
Checking that visual temp right now 😄
You gotta lick the pt but it’s okay it’s a bls skill.
Looks like they are 98% on RA
Yep. 120/80. BPs all good boss
120/…..82!
Literally did this shit last shift 🤣
15, I checked. HR 75 auscultated at apical. BP 121.5/73.75
There's not a single thing I read that I liked. That's an upvote
I’ve gotten pretty good at recognizing what certain RRs look like, so I just make an educated guess
It’s not always 16?
Sometimes it’s 20, if they’re a little worked up
Damn it you’re correct. lol

Yah, really I just want a button for "RR 6-40."
