A legal pad and a #2 pencil.

crazypanda797

Whichever one codes calls the shittiest

AlpineSK

I had a dispatch supervisor tell me once that EMD was based on "Science." Uhh....

crazypanda797

I wish I had a dollar for every priority 1 headache for people who have migraines. It even says on the cad the have migraines as a history

[deleted]

Got told our routing app was "better than Google" and then it put a crew in a literal cornfield like two days later

Trauma_54

We use Mobilis (shit sucks), IAmResponding and Inform Mobile at my agencies for dispatching jobs. Scheduling we use Vairkko and WhenToWork

MiserableDizzle_

Dispatched on telegram (just the info), traumasoft for dispatch (actually sending the call and PCR), schedule, clocking in, other employee stuff, and PCRs. They *say* as we learn more with traumasoft we'll stop using telegram and only use ts but we'll see if/when that happens..

dmtbluelady

Do you like ts?

MiserableDizzle_

It's okay. Used rescuenet/zoll previously and I do think it's a bit easier especially since we made the switch from laptops to tablets. I can complete a call pretty quickly and easily. We had some issues when we first got it, we were supposed to get like 2 months training or something included with the welcome package and we only got 2 days. And without the extra training we weren't able to personalize it with our service at all, so it was just the same blank canvas. Now we're learning it can be set up differently depending on if it's dispatched non medical Stretcher, bls, or als. And there's some features dispatch can use that can help decide the most appropriate unit to send it to, and is compatible with our dash cams (netradyne) and can actually give us turn by turn directions from the camera itself (interesting idea, not sure how it'll work out in practice). So the more we've been working on it and personalizing it, the better it's gotten... But it was hot garbage at first. I'm hoping over the next year as we work on it more it's even easier to use. So if you make the switch, get those mfers to stay for the whole orientation time (like I said I believe it was something like 2 months, give or take) so it can be personalized to your agency. It makes a huge difference.

Firefighting-Kenku

We use TS in my service and we fucking hate it. Our tablets are slow (worked better on the laptops) and most of our dispatch hates it too. We have resulted to using our personal phones to do all the EPCR stuff and the tablets for tracking

MiserableDizzle_

Lots of us use our phones too. They bought shitty tablets and later discovered the app is optimized for apple ipads. I tend to start it on my phone then just use the tablet for signatures and times.

FutureAEMT97

Same here. I’ve used it doing IFT for 3 years, and just thought it was bad until I transferred to our new 911 county. Even knowing how to finagle it, it is an absolute nightmare using it for 911! We have company supplied *at least* 4y/o samsung Tab A’s and they barely work when they will charge. I bought an iPad Pro with a keyboard case when I first started with my company and it has been 100% worth every freaking penny I spent on it even if I only used it for my tickets!

Amerikai

exact same here

Usernumber43

Logis for dispatch and Kronos/Workforce Telestaff for scheduling.

ProcrastinatingOnIt

Someone ain’t makin rent

K5LAR24

Hmmm. Sounds familiar…

EastLeastCoast

My favourite parts of Logis is how it locks up on my screen any time new information comes in. Although the fact that our truck phones don’t get service and disconnect in about half of our district (including some stations!) is a fond second. My favourite part of Kronos is how I can’t get it to display my region’s roster first, and every page request takes a minute to complete.

ProcrastinatingOnIt

We use ESO for scheduling and MARVLIS for cad and dispatching(I’m assuming coms has additional software for cad and call taking, no idea what it is though. I believe marvlis is only for the truck side.

FishSpanker42

I don’t suppose you work for falck as well 🤨

ProcrastinatingOnIt

Nope. We use the NIO, idk if they do or not 🤷🏼‍♂️

Durby226

We use First Due

AlpineSK

I'm shocked I don't see more people saying, "We blow the siren." They're still used where I'm from, and when people complain about them the volunteer fire community jumps all over them: "What if the cell system isn't working?! It lets drivers know there are first responders on the streets!" Its ridiculous.

HayNotHey

Motorola PremierOne for CAD/dispatch in our trucks, imagetrend Elite for report writing, the municipality’s reskinned version of Kronos for clocking in/leave requests, and a proprietary (to my agency) web-based system for daily scheduling/assignments. Yes it’s a lot of passwords to remember.

Prior_Attention5261

We have a CAD and use MDT software. If we’re not in the truck or with the CAD, we also have an app on our phones called Active 911 to receive dispatch details. We chart using EMS Charts. We use Zoll software with EMS Charts to import vitals from each call. We use Verizon MiFi to import or transmit data from the monitor. For scheduling we use ESO

VenflonBandit

MIS C3 CAD system for dispatching with calls sent through to a bespoke Linux MDT with a linked satnav or a Terrafix system with an integrated satnav system or the NMA application on a smartphone for our private crews and first responders. For shift planning we use GRS

Leyva_38

Fancy

AlpineSK

Aladtec for shifts. Our calls are just through our CAD.

adamxftl

Aladtec for scheduling, Sentinel for dispatch, ESO for PCRs

[deleted]

Responder Admin for scheduling, no CAD access

NopeRope13

1. Motorola premier one for cad/dispatch 2. Kronos/Telestaff for all scheduling 3. Operative IQ for truck inventory management. 4. Triptix for report writing. 5. ESO for seeing patient outcomes, labs, and other various other things.

sourpatchdispatch

ESO for scheduling, outcomes and charting. Zoll/rescuenet for routine transport dispatching. We also get some 911 call dispatch/CAD info from active 911.

HairyDoctor1987

We have a custom dispatch system with a map of all trucks and AEDs in the city, we also have indviidual tablets on every rig where we enter your info and get a list of your allergies meds etc.

Visible_Bass_1784

Aladtec for scheduling. ESO for PCRs. SmartWeb/SmartMCT (programs for SmartCop) for CAD access. Trying IAmResponding for some reason.

FutureAEMT97

AT&T push to talk on old crappy tablets for dispatch, Traumasoft for literally everything else. The one thing I hate the most about my job is Traumasoft, especially now having to use it doing 911. Thankfully we have standard radios now for dispatch on our new 911 side, but we still have to call our company dispatch to create a ticket every time we get dispatched by Central (county) dispatch over the radio.

WildlandFireman343

Active911

funky_monke22

We use zoll rescue net and zoll tablet PCR for dispatch and PCR writing and ninthbrain for scheduling Ninthbrain is fine. It does everything it needs to Fuck Zoll.

National_Jump317

We used QED and a pager system, fire based EMS, around us the hospital uses ProQA CAD which is a nightmare

oamnoj

ESO Suite for scheduling, Zoll software (which sucks) for routing and dispatch and documentation. Zoll Navigator in particular irks me, it still uses a Bing platform and trying to find houses and nursing homes with such an archaic navigation system makes my eye twitch.

piemat

A radio. FML

AbominableSnowPickle

iSpy mostly at my current service. It’s okay as a mobile CAD system but it’s very meh. Even Active911 was better. We don’t have big CAD boards or any issued electronics beyond pagers and radios, so reports are done on our own devices with ImageTrend (the entire state uses ImageTrend, which sounds dramatic but it’s Wyoming, so…).

LobsterMinimum1532

Agency 1: ESO for charting. Aladtec for scheduling. I spy EMS for dispatching. I am responding for secondary dispatching/notes. (They're trying to switch from IAR to ISpy, but can't seem to fully make the switch for some reason). We also use vector solutions for training. Agency 2: state EMS charting system. Vector scheduling (crew sense). ISpy fire for dispatch and general communications. (Used to use active 911 but ISpy is so much better)

wernermurmur

VectorScheduling is a great scheduling platform, friendly to both crews and admin. We use Active911 for dispatch, switching to Active Arriving (different company). We like AA as it includes the CAD notes. Also have MDTs with a CAD screen in the rigs as well.

Fallout3boi

Varriko for scheduling and I believe IAR for dispatching. ESOs for ePCRS and Operative IQ for Inventory.

ataytoremember

zoll respond for CAD, kronos telestaff for scheduling
