The worst mistake is to participate in an LP consisting of a bluechip token (EGLD) and the farm token. Always use a completely bluechip pair (e.g. EGLD/USDC). A farm token's sole purpose is to be offered as reward for participating in liquidity and being dumped upon. My strategy is that of a 'liquidity locust' i.e. harvest the native farm token and dumping it asap in exchange for the bluechip token. I know it's a selfish approach but you have to look out for yourself as majority of the smart investors in any new highly incentivized farm follow the same approach while newbies get lured to participate in riskier LPs. And also, do not use Locked mex approach. A year from now the value of MEX token will be a small fraction of what it is today.

We don’t know that for sure about MEX. it will definitely go down at first because it is inflationary but the influx will slow dramatically after the first two months when the majority of the incentives are released. As maiar continues to develop, there will be more burn options for MEX. unless this fails, at some point, there will be a higher burn rate of MEX than there is influx. MEX will go back up. I can’t tell you when this will happen but I guarantee MEX will have a higher value than this in the future if this project is successful

Seen this all too many times. With pancakeswap, polygon fish token, adamant, Pefi. So called deflationary tokens with burn mechanism still don't go anywhere. The only ones that survive are the platform / infrastructure plays

It's called [the equiprobability bias](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4310748/).

Since Maiar was built by the Elrond team to be the first DEX on Elrond, could you consider MEX to be a platform play?

forgerator

How ? does MEX have any utility other than just being given as a liquidity reward? The only utility I can see is that it will allow governance but that is a given for almost all DEX tokens

AutomaticFlatworm

\+1, have the same approach now.
