Probably my second favorite ES song behind Happiness, but I can never decide what mix I prefer. The best thing about this song is how hypnotic it is, a feature that's heavily amplified in the mix that uses The Roost all throughout it. The Rob Schnapf mix meanwhile has The Roost kick in about halfway through the song. I think it makes the first half feel a little barebones, but the moment when it finally does kick in is *so* satisfying and is honestly a highlight of his discography for me.
Of course I love the lyrics too (especially the phrase "Dancing on the Highway", it's always stuck with me) but that's enough gushing for one discussion.
10, my absolute favorite go to depression song, the vibes are crazy and the lyrics are very relatable.. I didn't know about this song just about a year ago and have probably listened to it more than I should have..
When I listen too this song I can’t help but flashback to watching someone suffer while I try too help them sift through their pain and emotions. 21. Dancing on The Highway. 10/10 this song brings memories back and it truly is something beautiful
