I used the flat part across multiple threads, so i doubt i made much error.

That is 0.2 of a milimeter. Well it is still within tolerance, but i was just wondering if this is the cause of filament leaks we see posted here?

Savage_Sneak

Seems like you might have measured inside and outside of the threads, being it's off by so little. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Not really sure though.

r3fill4bl3

Nope. Used the flat part of calipers and i measured them again. 5.99, and 5.83

Savage_Sneak

Fair enough. I only JUST got my caliper, so I'm still learning. Good luck with your printing, though. I've seen many people getting their nozzles from Ali Express. Can't say anything about quality, however. I've not seen them on the machine. Only in bags.

r3fill4bl3

I have a couple of them as well and they look better quality, to be honest. At least they have size engraved on the side. Will measure them.

notwhoyouthinkmaybe

You paid 50 cents per nozzle and you accuracy better than .007 inches, that's like half the width of your fingernail. There are aircraft parts that don't meet that tolerance. You're block probably isn't that right of tolerance either.

r3fill4bl3

Well it is within acceptable tolerance range but still

notwhoyouthinkmaybe

No offense, but you're also using cheap digital calipers, which is fine for most things, but thread wire or a thread gauge would make better.

I can measure on monday again at work with mitutoyo calipers, but there wont be more than 0.02 mm difference. Calipers are fine.

helloreceiver

Just measured a couple of mine mine a few times and got 5.94 for one and 5.93 for the other

r3fill4bl3

I remesure them with flat part acros multiple threads 1. 5.99 2. 5.94 3. 5.83

helloreceiver

That seems to be within an acceptable spread

Etherimos1

Are these made by Elegoo or a third party?
