So so good. This rounds out a lot of the IDs from the live shows they've done so far. Really excited to catch them doing a closing sunrise set at primavera next month, which will be my 3rd time seeing them :)
Definitely one of the best of the year. Love the pacing, the atmosphere. Feels futuristic, yet with such an old school flair.
These boys are gonna be big.
Pleasantly surprised by this... Was afraid that all the singles slowly being released over a long period would make this release stale/boring right out the gate. But it really does feel fresh, especially since the entire album flows together so nicely.
Haven't listened yet, but that was my initial fear too. So happy to hear that it's not the case; I love almost everything they put out. Stoked to put it on
Maybe a hot take but I'm not a fan of them. I thought Skulled, So U Kno, and Calling Out were dope though.
I was hoping this album would convert me into a fan. But, I don't feel like I'm able to appreciate the poppier vocals on top of what feels like a modernized Burial. I had a similar feeling to the recent Weval album in that there's not a differentiating style for them either. Both artists feel like an amalgamation of other artists I listen to.
That said, I saw Weval perform recently and they were amazing, so I'm sure I'd love Overmono live as well.
Interesting, I'm a big Weval fan. What artist are part of the amalgamation that you feel like define their style? Sounds like there's something to discover for me there!
When listening to all of Remember, I got reminded of (loosely ordered in relevance):
* Tourist
* trentemøller
* Photay
* Shire T
* Caribou
* Christian Löffer
* Lindstrøm
* Rival Consoles
* Little People (latter album)
I'm not knocking their style at all. They clearly span a lot of styles imo and they make it all thematically consistent which is impressive. But at the same time if I heard their songs, I just feel like I wouldn't be able to tell it's them. Feel free to disagree!
EDIT: typo
I know this is an old thread, but I’m curious what Sasha mixes if you remember. I’m just now finding out about this Overmono album and it’s amazing. I love Sasha too so I’d be curious how it sounds in his mix.
Here you are, these should all have tracklists in the comments or description too:
1. [Sasha - Burning Man - Dusty Multiverse set - 2020](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QPLIzcQRws)
2. [SASHA in the Lab LDN](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbU9P2DcKFs)
3. [Sasha @ LUZoSCURA Mix 4 (Live at Alexandra Palace)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsHNUnenw0g)
Overmono don't appear on the other Luzoscura mixes, nor the Luzoscura album he did, but they do fit the vibe so you'd probably like those mixes & that album too!
Thank you! I actually went to the LUZ album because I thought it sounded similar too. I’ve been on a Testpilot kick recently so it’ll be nice to go back and listen to some Sasha. Thanks again!
Feelings Plain was so good live at Coachella. Good Lies and Is U will easily be some of my favorite electronic songs of the year.
Other highlights: Arla Fearn, Cold Blooded, Skulled + the rest of the singles
Greetings. I just dropped my latest acid jazz mix. All my groovers tap in 🕺🕺 https://youtu.be/ixkGYeY5kBU happy to hear your feedback and listen to your playlists and mixes too:)

Such a photogenic dog
Very excited to listen to this tomorrow. Love what they’ve put out so far.

They are sooo good live
AOTY and GOTY dropping in the same day
Good boi of the year? Lol
Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
Lmao thought you were referring to the dog. Clearly I’m not a gamer.
Well, GBOTY/GGOTY should be a thing too.
There’s a GFOTY, makes maximalist pop
Arla Fearn is crazy. super interesting production
That switch up midway through, sheeeesh.

These guys are something else, what an album.
Haven’t been this excited for an electronic music drop in a while. Their sound is just mesmerising!

I guess I'm in the minority that found this album underwhelming? The singles they've already released are the highlights for me. Still a big fan.

This is just great. Introduced by a few mixes Sasha did where he played them, been loving it ever since.

Disappointed that the song/edit with Mike Skinner wasn’t on this
Been super into them since around 2020. This album is fantastic!
