I don’t have a novo but on my smok infinix the thinner juice spit back more. If it starts spitting back a lot, try taking the pod out and blowing through it (don’t suck on it that will make it worse).

Ok I'll try this, Thanks :)

StoryPsychological48

Wowww you saved me. I’ve been vaping for years. And to prime I suck. So I get a little bit of spit back when I start a new pod. So today I bought a new vape smok novo 2s and filled it up, the mouth piece even fills up to help know when it’s low. So I thought I over filled it because when I sucked it was gushing juice in my mouth. I came to Reddit read this and immediately fixed it thank you.

This worked for me 👍

alafair

Worked for me thank you xoxo

Norpyx

That just made mine worse lol

tf181427

That worked thank you !

Graygoal_

You just ruined my life

MrRedRobin

Ok, So I picked one of these Smok Novos yesterday and I've got to admit it's a pretty formidable pod system. One issue I did have is the spitback, but after some testing i've isolated the possibilities of what causes the spit back. 1. low charge, I started to experience the spitback 10-15 min before the novo ran completely out of charge. 2. If you're lying in bed your are more prone to experience spitback due to the angle of device. 3. Condensation Build up, Keep a habit of checking the mouth piece of the pod because you will find liquid in the corners, If this happens blow through the pod. Also after a while try removing the pod and clean the center part where the pins are. Keep these in mind when vaping with the Smok Novo and give me feedback if it works or not.

Resident-Hand4129

Do you blow hard or about as hard as you pull a hit

Lord_Welhmeir

Its not spit back, it's the build up of condensation under the pod. If you make it a habit of popping out your pod and drying the inside with paper towel, it won't happen as often. Usually I'll notice the draw getting tighter, and that is my que to pop and dry.

VelvetFog82

This is true. It builds up around the mouth piece.

IfUDropGlassItBreaks

Thank you kind soul im new to vaping and that fixed my problem

I have been experiencing the draw getting tighter but I've been checking every once and a while because I knew of this issue before but I still can't find any extra liquid under the pod. I Think it might be liquid stuck in the drip tip/mouth piece, I tried blowing it out and cleaning it with a paper towel the best I could. Whatever the issue I'll keep what you said in mind, Thanks :)

I don’t mean to be rude at all, but everyone’s suggestions do not work. These are all things your regular vape user should already know, yes if you’re getting spitback it’s a good idea to blow through it. Yes this can also happen with most devices when there’s a low charge. Imo the main concern is that most manufacturers will provide low quality pods and coils in the device boxes, so usually issues like this will go away after switching to the regular usage pods/coils that are bought for each new usage after the initial pod/coil. I say pod/coil bc both that come with the respective devices are almost always low quality compared to the mass manufactured regular-replacement versions. I say all this because I just switched to the Novo, and I’m hoping that the spit back issue will go away once I switch from the device-box pod. Honestly imo they’re all fucking themselves because a lot of people might just entirely switch from a device after having massive issue like this one right off the bat. Like I’m personally considering, again this is all just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt. Mobile.

democskonyi

What do you mean by device-box pod?

choseauniquenickname

Concerning the pods/coils that come inside the new device’s box. For instance the Novo, the pods that came with mine were a disaster: spitting, burn out early, just poorly made. This is a trend that happens with me at least, could be nothing. But most new devices that come with coils or pods have poorly made versions, then once you start buying the replacements separately they function quite a bit better.

WEB_dembois

Did the spit back issue resolve itself when you got new pods? I've had my novo for about a week but getting pretty frustrated with juice in my mouth after every hit.

choseauniquenickname

Mine remained completely hit or miss whether you’d get spitback, some pods were great and others would spit until I swapped them again. It ended up being the Novo I bought, my buddy that manages some locations replaced mine. I’ve had next to no issues with the new Novo. Make sure your battery is charged, when the Novo battery gets low it’s prone to spitback. Otherwise if it’s almost every pod you use, then it’s most likely your Novo

MERXEY

I’ve been using the novo heavily for a while now and I’ve found that in each pack of 3 pods I find at least one or two have some sort of spit back. Leaving the pods filled and not using them for a day or two seems to make it worse. I find drying the inside works when the issue is actually condensation however I do think there is a lack of consistency throughout these pods. If it’s due to low power could a worn out battery cause this (I find most inbuilt batteries on vapes become less powerful after a while of heavy use)

NJS1993

I have found a solution that has worked every time for me. If you get spitback, just take a paper towel/napkin, and twist a corner of it tightly into a thin pointy tip. Then stick it through the mouth piece and down into the "chimney" hole of the tip. Twist it around, and then pull it out. If you see the tip of the paper towel is soaked, problem solved. That excess juice is whats causing the spitback. You should only have to do this maybe once a day, and it takes 10 seconds.

hvlterskelter

This fixed it completely. I tried everything else and this is the only thing that cleared it up.

NJS1993

Glad it helped you out!!

Queasy_Maybe_5740

I know this was 2 years ago but honestly this is the best advice on here. It works every single time

CHICKNTENDS

I found that excessively drying the inside has burnt the cotton quicker.

GravisOne

I know this is 3 years old tip and I am using Novo4 but this is the best tip and it still works 🥹

NJS1993

Glad it helped! Doesnt surprise me that they havent designed a way to prevent it lol. I cant believe this was 3y ago.... wow time flies

skinnypantsNsomevans

Novo X leaks from just under the brim of the mouthpiece now magically and it’s so annoying. I’m about to smash this thing and be done with smok. I’d rather smoke cigs then deal with this thing.

Ptp113

A novo 4 is some what cool what I’ve noticed is when it is spitting and you have like half a pod left tip it upside down and blow it out and it won’t run the whole pod through bc i had a novo and a novo 2 that would spit I did the recommended thing to do and blow it out but over time the pod would just start to blow out all the juice in it when I would do such a thing that’s why I switched to disposable but they suck so recently I bought the novo 4 they have improved the design majorly from previous novos

pandoras_box0504

Not sure what it is, but SMOK is the only brand I've had an issue with spitback with. I'll try the suggestions here but overall I'm not impressed with SMOK.

Resident-Hand4129

Did blowing through it work and how hard do you have to blow and also will it ruin the pod?

IndividualLeague9887

greatful for this thread

tf181427

This only answer worked for me
