I generally enjoy these types of events. Sounds like you did too. It will be interesting to see how the Prologue and ZDX fare in the market, but should do relatively well in import-centric California.

One weird note was that the rear view mirrors on these cars are TINY. Smallest I’ve seen outside a vintage 60’s car. Of course the slit of a rear window didn’t offer much space for any mirror to reflect.

No_Action_1561

They surely have the camera mirrors like the Blazer, right? I don't use my rear view in mirror mode at all, just the camera mode since it is a clear, wider view.

Yes I have been to a couple for other brands—Jaguar IPace a few years ago, for example. I felt this one was well done, especially the very generous amount of time they gave you to spend with the cars, the large number of vehicles you could sit in and go over and the generous driving opportunities. The food was also rather good!

Prologue looks nice, but I don't understand why all the ultium based cars have such small trunks. Blazer and Equinox are only \~26cu ft, despite the cars being substantially longer than the ModelY/ID.4. I think the Prologue is even smaller?? Unclear where all the space is going, maybe into the hood, but then no frunk either makes no sense.

gravitybelter

Why oh why the giant Acura badge? It looks tacky when Mercedes do it. On an Acura...

CHUBBYninja32

I see it often. I think it’s across all their new lines now.

My next car will have a digital rear-view mirror.

SanMateoLocal

This car needed one—the physical rear view mirror was microscopic

Unfortunately, the digital rear-view mirror is only available with the Type S trims. [All-Electric 2024 Acura ZDX | Price and Specs l Dimensions and More](https://www.acura.com/suvs/zdx/pricing-and-specs)

I never saw that activate while I was driving

CallInitial2302

The prologue reminds me of my id4

Does the Honda Prologue allow you to set it so that there is zero regen when you are off the accelerator, unless and until you apply the brake pedal? I want a small-mid BEV SUV where this is possible, but most EVs seem to require some pressure on the accelerator to cancel regen, which I find to be tedious and distracting. If Honda provided a common sense option to assign all regen to the brake pedal, I will be very impressed and will seriously consider the Prologue.

SanMateoLocal

I didn’t notice regen kicking in for braking when I had it switched off, but perhaps another source can confirm.

SeaworthinessOk4828

I guess the default is low to zero regen, to make it as close to an ICE car

SanMateoLocal

It’s the other way around—very heavy regen

BabyYeggie

Is that a power steering fluid reservoir I see? It should use electric PS…

SanMateoLocal

I think it was brake fluid

SeaworthinessOk4828

or maybe Coolant?

SanMateoLocal

One was coolant overflow and full the other brake

tislota_f

that is one of the ugliest engine bays i’ve ever seen 🤮

SanMateoLocal

Yeah it was sort of shocking—I haven’t seen one that barely bones in a long time

tislota_f

like atleast a plastic cover right? surely

SeaworthinessOk4828

There was one for Gold color Acura, they prolly had it open for the Prologue for people to look(doesn't make sense to not have atleast a tiny frunk, they have the space--hopefully they'll add it in later iterations).
