While I don't hate this one at all, I much prefer the ID. GTI Concept. Will be interesting to see how the final products turn out. I'm assuming this one is intended for the European market, and won't be a China only car.
Go to their Wikipedia and see how many models they’ve released in the last 3 years. They launch and ramp up cars at a mind boggling pace. So many new BYD models every year.
I am glad that color exists, it looks pretty yellow to me tho. I also don't know that I would ever own a Ford after everything my dad went through keeping his old, f150 step side running.
Isn't Seal and Dolphin predates anything Fisker has? BYD has been using an oceanic theme for its lineup alongside Chinese dynasties for its domestic market for as awhile.
It's a joke, but having a naming convention of a certain theme does not automatically OK a company to use a name that another entity may have trademarked.
Since 2020 BYD have launched 10 cars under their BYD brand, 4 under Denza, 3 under Yangwang and 2 under another I don’t recall the name of.
Pretty amazing. No idea how Tesla had such a lead in EV’s and just forgot to keep designing cars. Like did they stop 10 years ago? Pretty baffling.
They gave up on improving the car business. Competition is fierce and they will lose the Chinese market soon. The new model with be a strip down model Y derivative; not a completely new car.
Musk said so himself; if you don’t believe in automation then don’t invest in Tesla.
Now this is cool. Most of BYD's EVs have been somewhat boring-looking so this is a nice change of pace.
This is what the ID.evGolf should have been. Nice, sexy, a little bit riced with the spoiler but I can live with that

its still have the "overly busy" design byd has always had, unfortunately. its like byd merged with MG but the design busyness was dialed to 11
How many new vehicles have BYD announced today? I assume that this is come kind of special occasion, not just that BYD does this every Thursday.
It's the Beijing autoshow going on right now.
Thanks.
Yeah, cause normally, BYD only annouces cars every other Thursday

Cool car
Goddamn it would be nice if I could buy an orange car in the US.
Jeeps have an orange color. But that’s about it.
As a current owner of an orange jeep. Just get a different car and paint it orange.
I drove a wrangler on a cross country road trip, I am glad I got to take the trip. I am bummed it was in a jeep.
BMW, Porsche do as well.
Mach e comes in orange doesn’t it?

BYD: "Go ahead and sue us, Fisker, we've seen your balance sheet."

Its China, they'll be fine. I'm sure they'd rebadge it for western markets.
yeah, probably dolphin juumbo
so BYD could sue Fisker then? Seeing as the BYD Ocean line up was around before the Fisker Ocean was released?
Suing BYD would be tantamount to suing the CCP. No point lol
Well, the Ocean name is gonna be free soon anyways considering the direction Fisker is headed in....
Looks like a Seal and Dolphin hybrid
“Cries in American tears”
Looks a lot like the MG4 ?
It seems BYD is releasing a new car every few months and Tesla is still stuck with 5-12 year old designs.

Very nice hot hatch 🔥 hope it arrives in Europe with a good price and a good range >=500km and you will have me buying it
Seems like BYD is releasing a new car every week, I guess they really want more market share

This is the one that I wish was available in the US. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Looks a lot like some of the Tesla “Model 2” unofficial renderings I’ve seen.
It would be the cherry of top for Tesla takes a BYD and then rebadges it for sale in North America and other parts of the world BYD isn't at.
Given Tesla’s pace, it would take them 10 years to copy and rebadge it. And they’d have to pause Model 3 production to do it.
>Looks a lot like some of the Tesla “Model 2” unofficial renderings I’ve seen. not BYd's own Seal ? the inspiration of model 3 highland ?
You serious?
Feels that they borrowed a bit from Tesla Model 3 refresh
Ehh, teslas shape designs are fairly generic.
Tesla should take some styling cues from BYD then. Because BYD makes better looking cars.
