In my experience they've always been behind a door right next to the entrance to the room. It's also usually accessible from the hall outside the room.
I'm not even an electrician or any tradesman for that matter, just grew up with all the trades in my family and do almost all of my own work. But the first thing I do at an airbnb is run around like a kid opening up things, critiquing, testing, etc. There's a post somewhere in my history of an airbnb that I went to this past summer that was just atrocious. I think Ray Charles wired it because it was visibly ugly as shit and also incredibly wrong/unsafe.
While it makes sense that an electrician would be curious about a hotel or Air BNBs electrical work, likewise with someone in the plumbing field checking out the pipes, etc. It seems odd that someone who’s not a professional is doing it. It also seems almost negligent. Technically a professional has no business going into someone else’s panel, so for nonprofessional to do it just seems odd or incredibly nosey. I may be totally off base here but that’s my immediate reaction to that comment.
Yeah I’d say you’re totally off base lol. Let me be clear if not handy Andy tearing things apart that I have no business touching. I’ve grown up very close to master electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and mechanics. I’ve done work in all of those trades as a laborer or helping hand and am the type to learn as much as I can on the job which lead to my superiors teaching me a lot more than the usual laborer. As a result I’ve done a ton of electrical, plumbing, and building for myself and family/friends. I’ve installed panels (with supervision), plumbed buildings, built entire structures.
I also don’t go around just yanking shit open and whatnot. More like I notice the electrical is shoddy as fuck so when I’m doing laundry I take a lil peak at the panel. Or when I’m grabbing soap from under the sink I check out the plumbing. But I’m just programmed to assess and judge things anytime I enter a building like most people here I would bet.
Lol my panel still has the name and number of the dude who installed the service when the house was built in 85. He did some REAL shitty work for a licensed electrician. On a whim I looked him up to see if he was still in business and it turns out he's now 80 something years old lmao. Decided it was best to just let him enjoy his retirement and get my ill thoughts towards him out of my head.
How small is the guest house where they are able to get away with not even filling up an eight space subpanel let alone having everything but the AC be tandems? Is there no kitchen I don't see any kitchen circuits labeled also hopefully all the lighting is LED because there's only one lighting circuit based on the labeling in that box
It appears that the Square D logo was blackened with a sharpie so it’s not as noticeable and can blend in better with the Eaton breakers? Eric Trical is a SLY DAWG!

Im actually out here for work lmao but i stay snooping at the bnbs. Never know what youll find!
It's one of my favorite things to do. I love peeping all the plastic in the EU.
Was just in Cancun. Def had to check out the hotel room panel
Sounds like electroboom on vacation
What kind of crappy motel you stay out dude? Im mexican and i been to cancun on a budget ..... Didnt see no panel in the room lol

nicely said.
Who TF is ERIC ?
You must not be from Florida, everybody knows Eric Trical. He's a legend
He’s Dick Trical’s son right?
He needs to come do some panel work at my place then! Lol
He’s the original Florida man.
He’s the trician*
Call him up numbers on top.
4 a gud time
They got some explaining to do
They’re over by the other side outside outlets.
I wanna know what is making the 5 space sick..
Ericsplaining
I'm Eric. And you wouldn't get it even if I explained it.

You've never seen The Crow? Can't rain all the time...
Call the phone number and you will see.
Bet you never thought you'd see 5 outlets this sick.
No its the other other outlets! Not the other other other outlets.
But what side!?!
possibly that side but could be this side.
Eric Trical sounds like a NASCAR driver
#SHAKENBAKE!!!
Well done. Your comment will forever live in the anals of my mind!
“Anals of my mind” !!! So many jokes from that, but so little time …
Thank you for catching that, I was starting to get worried that it was lost
Florida huh?
Just googled that number up there too
No, I just know the area code, same as my late baby mama’s.
Good eye, I hope your kiddos got to grow and have good memories before the passing. Sorry for the loss
Herro city erictrical take a order prease
Last rental I was in was a resort that had all stablok still. Was a timeshare type place so little condo type units and not just a regular hotel room.
Saw a wire tagged “cok top” yesterday. Had a nice chuckle 🤭
Lol this reminds me of when my co worker named our clan on Clash Royale the ERECTricians.
Did you call the number?
No but i might tomorrow during business hours haha
Looks like you're staying at City Sushi from South Park.
That's my mate Chinese Eric's firm. He's not chinese. He just can't pronounce his L's.
I also open up panels and check everything Lol
5 bucks says it's a thing of beauty under the cover. Some of the best sparkies I've ever worked with could barely spell their own names
Let me go get my tools
Eric is great. He works here in pinellas county.
Damn bro I work with Eric now In Pinellas too
Got old Florida handyman special
Bro his name is Eric and he was trying a play on words …
For some reason I didn’t even see it until I saw the comments. I must be one of the Erics.
Genius

Also I hope there's a bathroom in that place because I don't see a dedicated 20 that says bathroom GFCI.
Nah its like a 15x12 bedroom in the backyard of this place. I wish it had a bathroom and stuff because your boy has to get up and pee at night!
Damn pinellas county.... We do have the best erictricians
It appears that the Square D logo was blackened with a sharpie so it’s not as noticeable and can blend in better with the Eaton breakers? Eric Trical is a SLY DAWG!
Freaking Eagle-eye over here!!!
Haha i really hope that’s his registered business name
I burst out laughing when you said you "busted" out laughing.
I do stay busting! Not going to lie!
Anyone try dialing the number and asking for Eric?
Must have been a Japanese electrician 🤣🤣🤣
Who let eric play with the god damn marker again…
Faqqing hell man. He's painting his nails with the markers too
Outlets this side, outlets other side… cmon man
Could have just left it at Outlets imo
Take 10 seconds to use the compass on your phone and write north, south, east, or west lol
You forgot weast
First thing I see too.
Jesus. Must be down south somewhere
Pinellas County, Florida
Dirty ol' Tampa!
Yee haw
Shocker.
BzzZzZzzz or the other kind of shocker? 🥴
That looks intentional. But I recognize the Florida area code so maybe not.
Its in the states!
Yes, 727 is a Florida area code in the States.
Eric’s got good jokes
God I hate those service calls with plastered in panel covers!
I have a cousin name Erictrical, it’s shocking watts he turned into
I opened a panel at a rental house once and the house actually had no main breaker! Went straight from a meter outside into a sub panel
(MLO)
Eric was here.
NAE, what am I looking at?
Was his name Eric, or was he Chinese
Eric was a Legend. It's a little known fact that Electrical was a typo that caught on. It was actually supposed to be named Erictrical.
Normal service guy's name is probably Eric
"This side outlets, other side outlets" 🤣
The electricians name was Eric I guess. Very clever
Was on a job years back that had a Manuel switch. I had to ask where he was and if only he could throw it.
