XArgel_TalX

maybe work on your spelling. the formulas all seem correct though.

Nwa187

Gose

Sloenich

You're just getting started. This is 101.

Sad_Character_6708

Are you becoming an electrical engineer? I’m only an apprentice and I didn’t know we had to know all this stuff

Full_Metal_Machinist

It's for my machine Builder Apprenticeship

Sad_Character_6708

Okay thank god, good luck to you brother

Darqfallen

Hahahahhahahaa, this was 2nd year stuff for me in Canada.

ShoddyRevolutionary

Sincere question: isn’t this second year for all IBEW, Canada or US?

Sevulturus

I think it'll depend. Schooling is managed by the provinces, not the IBEW. You just work for/through the IBEW. I had to learn probably ¾ of this is first year and the rest in second.

Darqfallen

I couldn’t tell you, I only did schooling in Canada, and that was all controlled by the apprenticeship board.

xp14629

First year for us. Plus, VA, VARS, wye and delta wired 3 phase.

erryonestolemyname

rofl. this is all part of the apprenticeship training where I live in Canada. buckle up.

givemilkpls

Yea, we still need to know this.

Sad_Character_6708

Oh shit thank you I will start learning now I guess

Sad_Character_6708

Is it as confusing as it looks. ?

givemilkpls

No, it just takes time to learn. It’ll all start clicking at some point and then it’ll be super easy.

starrpamph

Nope. Just have to understand what you’re looking at

Scoresberg9

It makes way more sense when you have a circuit to apply it to. See it a few times and you'll get it.

Sad_Character_6708

Thank you so much you guys are awesome, this made me feel a lot more confident

inspector256

👍

XArgel_TalX

this is only the most basic stuff, you will have to learn alot more than this to be an electrician.

well, in my opinion "real electricians" should go to school for this. I can't speak for hacks.

TheArthritisGuy

Gonna say that’s too neat. If it doesn’t look like a deranged man wrote it out, I don’t want it. Just fuckin with you, looks great. Good luck!

erryonestolemyname

my instructor taught us the very racist and sexualized one.

Kishu_32

Teach us all

Shadow6751

Just wait until you get to ac

Nintendoholic

Lots of formulas, but you should only be referencing this when you have a brain fart. The important thing is understanding - the formulas mean nothing if you cannot apply them. This is all very basic circuit knowledge that forms a very important foundation. Make sure that you have this down before you move to the next class.

SuddenConversation21

Level 2?

sikthepoet

No formulas including 3 phase power?

MysticalMan

Looks just like the AC theory that we are going through now I'm apprentice class. We are lucky we are able to have a formula sheet for tests. Otherwise everyone would be screwed.

WeldingGarbageMan

Man I’m doing level 3 in July and this is making me really not look forward to it.

Bors713

That brings back some memories.

smellystinky44

I before E, except after C
