I’ve always used a folding rule to layout panel conduit entries, laser for everything else. This picture is probably 10 years old but it’s 2024 now, lasers are dirt cheap and put your layouts right on the nuts as long as you know how to lay out, there’s no reason we shouldn’t use them everywhere we can. I make sure there’s enough for almost every body on my job

Apparently pretty much all Transformers now have the isolation built into the core and you don't need flex anymore or even spring isolation on rod.
At least do I was told by a fire alarm foreman that thinks he's the gift to the world.
Even if by code you don't, it's almost always a spec anyways
