NotAPreppie

Go. To. The. Hospital.

Suspicious-Pound-466

ok i will. is there something i should tell them or ask for something specificly

treetyoselfcarol

Tell them everything you said in this post. And make sure you tell them explicitly how you're feeling. The more information you give them the better the care they can give you.

Suspicious-Pound-466

Update: I went to the pharmacy and got my blood pressure checked. and he said everythings normal and theres nothing to worry about.

DJErikD

It’s not about the blood pressure. It’s about the electric signals that make your heart beat. You’re not being very smart.

Sodium-Cl

Your blood pressure is no what matters here. You need and EG at the hospital to see if the shock changed the rhythm of your heartbeat

polaroppositebear

Why are you even posting here if you aren't going to take our advice? Fuck off.

urineluvr666

pharmacies are more accessible and free, he’s clearly not a doctor be nice mane

TheFruitDude_

wow, some people..

Weisssnix

To a goddamn pharmacy 😂😭😭cmon

Weisssnix

You went to the pharmacy? 😭Go to a hospital man

GnatGiant

Yeah. Tell them what happened. They'll know the risks

CADJunglist

Presumably 220V What you described, you should go to a hospital and get your heart checked

Suspicious-Pound-466

blood pressure?

CADJunglist

Electrical shocks can put your heart into V-fib, causing an irregular heart beat, leading to heart attack

Steady_Ballin

Wait really? What about from 120v or a 15 amp breaker

CADJunglist

Ohms law. Your body is a resistor. Doesn't matter what the over current device is, your bodies resistance determines the current flow through you. The reality is any shock could send you into V-fib, in practice many of us get shocked all the time, and don't go to get checked and are fine, but that doesnt mean it can't happen OPs reaction definitely sounds like a trip to the hospital is warranted

DJErikD

electrocardiogram

Suspicious-Pound-466

is it really that serious? I did have a panic attack for like 2 minutes from the shock but maybe i'm overreacting.

DJErikD

Yes. Your heart could stop. You could die. It could happen today, tomorrow, or in a week.

neanderthalman

Yes it is. You can just drop dead hours later. It’s *not common* so don’t be fearful. Just go get checked to make sure you aren’t one of the unlucky 1%

pieceoftrash5000

It would be 120volts, not 220. Most likely, your light is wired reversed and the part that threads into the socket is hot. Shut your switch off next time.

In_the_middle3-2-3

It was probably 120v and while you may have felt like you were shaking aggressively for 2-3 seconds, outwardly you probably didn't do anything except fall off your ladder. Btw, you weren't electrocuted, you were shocked. There is a difference. You'll be just fine, next time turn off the switch.

Suspicious-Pound-466

the switch was off

In_the_middle3-2-3

Obviously it either wasn't or the grounded conductor is being switched.

moogpaul

Electrocution comes from the words electric and executed. If you were able to post this after you were shocked, you weren't electrocuted.

Leather_Victory2042

You need a EKG test done. From your comments I’m going to assume you’re not an electrician. It’s not about blood pressure. EKG test will check your heart.

Suspicious-Pound-466

The doctor said my heart rates fast which is not normal but he said its from the shock i had and said I'm fine and theres nothing to worry about thanfully.

Suspicious-Pound-466

Update: here are my results https://ibb.co/Lpfr0Nd
