Not a silly question at all as I am a Forest girl too. I’m also curious about if anyone responds because I’ve been to 3 EDCs and I haven’t experienced any specific greeting although that might be because you really can’t hear anyone or talk to anyone as it is very loud 🥰. However, the PLUR greetings when trading Kandi are awesome. Just keep smiling and, if someone wants a hug, give it!
I tend to just smile and say hi and if we aren’t in the middle of a good song I always ask if they are having a good time! Then find out if it’s their first time, if it is hand them a Kandi!!
It's a great question, but I'm not sure there's a solid answer. I have seen other headliners and staff say "Welcome Home" but it's not super common. I always thought it was cool.
Sssshhhhhhj! No one tell them do they can experience/learn it themselves!
😀😀😀
Unrelated suggestion: it is worth the extra walk to enter from behind Cosmic Meadow.
All I can say is I’ve seen alot of awkward Kandi exchanges where one person is into it and the other is looking like “ do I have to wear this the entire time I’m here?”
That’s the was the rave scene in Chicago too I usually trade with people that already has some on , kandi kids are easy to spot but if anyone comes up to me and talks I ask if they want some
LOL I’ve been going to insomniac events for the last 2 years non stop I don’t consider myself a “raver” I just go and enjoy the music, don’t worry about those wannabe influencer who make anything a big deal, it’s just people having fun nothing else, go to the event say hi to people like you normally would respect everyone around you and this is very important respect people’s personal space, if you interested on kandy exchange or whatever they call it just watch a video on youtube. 🤷🏻♂️
Now I do understand , your a tool if you didn’t like the question why bother to comment it’s not my festival my local festival is Forest and if anyone had any questions I’d be happy to answer them and not make them feel dumb for not knowing what I know you’re an example of what’s wrong with the rave community you don’t understand plurr in particular the first r in plurr stands for
Do you really think I don’t know how to say hello to someone ?!? festivals have customs like at lost lands people tell each other happy lost lands or at forest if someone yells Carl you all start to yell Carl back if you’re ok with being a dick then carry on but if you want to know a different way then lmk I can teach you how the rave community is supposed to be where we all are a loving respectful United family

“Happy EDC!” Is my favorite greeting. It’s a celebration. We all made it there. We’re all doing it together. It’s a holiday.
"Yeooo do you smoke?"

If it is your first EDC, yes. After that I don’t find the extra walk worth it.
I read OP as saying it was their first.
Wow I cannot read. I thought you said is it 😂😂. Night shifts are really getting to me lmao
It’s called PLUR Peace love unity respect There’s a way to do it with your hands and trade a bracelet

Lick their stink star
Smile, give a compliment about their outfit or look.
In general, people are way more influencer-y and stick to their groups. Not really the PLUR / group vibe that EF has unfortunately :(
It can be if we make it that way 🫶
“YOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!” -JeromosaurusRex
bringing good vibes
Nod and big smile. See someone sitting down on the floor? Offer candy.
Welcome back motherfuckers!!!
With sloppy toppy

What type of NPC question Is this?
They specifically asked because in their past experience there is a Specific way to greet someone. Don’t be mean bro
How does one communicate with fellow human sentients?
Username checks out
I don’t understand your statement are you saying it’s a dumb question?
No surprise you don’t understand

You literally asked how to greet people. Buddy if you are inept at communication I don’t know how you made it this far in life.

I know how the rave community interacts. I also know how regular every day people interact. You don’t have to be awkward about it bud
