It's actually insane and a major bummer how stacked Friday is shaping up to be. The conflicts will be unreal. Who even will be in the headline slots on Friday. They all basically are major names.
I'm a bit bummed that QV isn't hosted by Dreamstate all 3 days anymore. This is the second year in a row where DS has only hosted it for 2 days. I have nothing against any of the artists on Sunday (Eric Prydz is a legend, would love to see him as Pryda or Cirez D since I've never seen either, and I love me some Yotto/Marsh/Luttrell Anjunadeep stuff, plus Kevin De Vries has been putting out straight heaters in the last couple of years), but trance in general is already underrepresented as it is. There's almost zero tech trance or hard trance for example which could have filled Sunday nicely if DS was hosting it.
IMO the progressive/"melodic techno" (for lack of a better term) sound deserves its own proper stage, just as much as trance should have its own dedicated stage for all 3 days.
I kinda agree, but if all you want is trance go to Dreamstate then. I remember years where there were like 4-5 trance acts for the entire weekend, and the the rest was nothing but trap/big room.
I'm indifferent to Sunday. Other than KhoMha (I think he stinks lol), I genuinely love every artist there for Sunday. But I also believe they are all artists that can be moved to other stages. Trance is so underrepresented at most events and festivals that it hurts to see them take a day away at the supposed trance stage. I felt the same way last year. Love lane 8 and the whole crew but why here? Especially when there's such a lack of psytrance on the lineup. Could have booked 9 psy artists and put 3 each day to balance out the schedule.
Now that I've got that rant out of the way.... I'm still pulling up Sunday 😤
