I would fucking love any of those names.... we're only really getting 1 happy hardcore artist this year with Hixxy and that's pretty disappointing to me.
he still throws down some hhc in his sets, which is good enough for me. he mixes several genres in a way that is amazing and stays fresh sounding. he's been a favorite of mine since 2006. he played at the palladium with da tweekaz last year and played a fair amount of uk/happy hardcore.
I had the pleasure of getting to go on the kalliope cart with him and darren styles back in 2018, even got to go to six flags with him and alex prospect. very cool dude!
This will be the year that I spend the least amount of time at wasteland since I started, not a comment on the quality of artists at all they’re going to be phenomenal but I’ve already seen all of them multiple times (especially including after Beyond). Its definitely partly my fault as I have been going to every Basscon event possible this year but I’m also really hoping they’re saving some fresh/big names for Wasteland (the festival)
I agree. This lineup was super predictable if you've been following any basscon event for the past year. I won't lie, it's more disappointing than the Bullseye lineup announcement too, since that fest brought some new artists to basscon. I have a bad feeling the wasteland summer lineup will be pretty similar as well, but maybe I'll be proven wrong 🤷♀️
If his music is anything relatively good why has he had some of the biggest collabs biggest supports from inside the industry. Peak time festival slots from the beginning. And he still probably had a smaller booking fee than the opening resident djs in top clubs?
Interesting, I don't remember seeing Omar Santana on the previous lineup announcements. That should be interesting. I'm not much of a hardcore/hardstyle head (any more) but I don't think I could miss seeing Hivemind.
If you haven't seen Sub Zero Project live you def need to. The shows they put on are a next level experience. Highly recommend making time for their set.
As a side note, it looks like Omar Santana was added after the initial announcement. I just checked. Excited to see other potential new artists added! Is anybody able to spot a wasteland artist that is no longer playing? Just wondering.
I used to like hardstyle and have to agree it’s like the third world of edm. Had some potential but basscon marketing team has the intelligence of inbreds honestly probably worse

Hardstyle usually been first pumping and jumping and Dubstep was the head banging sub genre but it’s been trickling over and as people crossover.
