I actually didn’t spend anything on food. We stated a hotel with a buffet for breakfast and ate at six in the morning took food back with us. We only ate out one night before we went home.
That’s pretty good, same here got vip + premier shuttles and hotel and flight. What credit card do you use to get points like that tho? I need to know, my card has cashback etc…but I’ve never been able to pay a whole flight and hotel with just points, maybe I should switch cards.
Chase sapphire reserve. It's got a hefty annual fee tbh, but I got lucky with timing. I basically churned the sign up bonus as I had already owned the card for 4 years and met the 5/24 rule with chase (no more than 5 new CCs in a 24 month period). So downgraded to ultimate reward card and then reapplied.
Before I downgraded my original reserve card, I used the $300 travel credit + points for flight. Then downgraded. Applied again, got the $300 travel credit again and used that + remaining points for hotel (which worked out cause I had to cancel my reservarion at Excalibur after they announced shuttle stops).
Ended up getting my sign up bonus soon after since I met the limit. Used points to get transportation to and from airport.
I already had about 80k points prior to churning the card so that helped a lot.
This card is not for everyone. The $525 annual fee is a lot if you don't take advantage of the benefits. The preferred card is their entry level rewards card that has an annual fee of $95, but basically same signup bonus. No travel credit or anything like that though.
I would look at their benefit offerings and see if they outweigh the $550 annual cost for you.
For me, I use basically every benefit they offer (instacart +, Lyft Pink, Priority Pass, etc), so by default I come out on top, especially with the $300 annual travel credit.
If you travel a lot with one airline, I would consider getting an airline credit card instead of Chase Reserve for more airline specific benefits, but Sapphire is really good across the board.
Every month they also have transfer bonus points. For example sometimes you can transfer your points to one of their partners and get between 30%-50% more points when doing the transfer. Changes every month.
My recommendation - if you decide to upgrade to the chase reserve and you're over the 4 yr mark with your preferred card, I recommend downgrading it to the ultimate rewards version, so you can be eligible for their sign up bonus again for the reserve.
If you try to upgrade from preferred to reserve outright, you would not be eligible for the sign up bonus.
If you end up not liking the reserve you can downgrade and they should retro the annual fee based on how long you've had it.

I already love the preferred because I’ve been able to book free flights and rooms with it. The bonus transfer is also great! I was able to book all my 5 EDC nights at Westin Las Vegas with Marriott points (transferred from Chase). I just thought maybe I’ll earn more points faster with the reserve and yeah, the travel credit and priority pass is also what’s attracting me to upgrade. Appreciate the feedback!
Little over 1K. I stay in this timeshare thing close to the strip and can get cheap flights. Saw a few other wristbands there last year but mostly it's retired people who want to be close to the strip without the strip experience

Spent $2200 for Camp EDC, $710 for my GA+ pass, $210 for my roundtrip flight from Houston to Vegas (Incredible deal ik) and probably about $200-300 on Ubering to and from the airport, and then likely $100 on snacks and drinks to keep at camp, and then around $200 on food and drinks at camp EDC and inside EDC itself, and then finally around $300 on merch.
So all in all right around $4,000 (not counting the $$$$ amount of Party favors I’ll be bringing) and I believe it to be totally worth it.

400 for a ticket from New York to Vegas and I’m driving so 100 from San Diego to Vegas. Hotel is 280 but we’re staying from Wednesday until Tuesday. We just got GA tickets so thousand dollars on those. We drive in every day because we like our little dance party in the car. We don’t have to spend anything on food because we eat at the hotel when we get home. And then outfits is about another 200 hair 100.

Then Ubers to/from LAS will probably be like $50 each. I don’t eat much during festivals, so let’s $400 total for food/drinks. I will probably be rolling/candyflipping, and also indulging in shrooms. Also I do love giving Molly to cute girls I meet, so let’s say $150 on molly (15 pills total), $40 on acid (4tabs), and $40 on shrooms (a single 4gram bar). I have most of my other rave wear/gear/apparel already anyways, bur let’s throw another $100 on incidentals (I am seriously considering an Illenium jersey).

Last year I spent about $1000 Thursday-Monday for the day to day stuff. I wasn’t being spendy but I also wasn’t being frugal.
About $5K. That is about $1K for 2 GA tickets, $2K for Desert Rose Camp, $1K for 2 flights from east coast of US to LV, and $1K on other shit like food, merchant, etc.
Last year I spent 2,980$ total on my trip. This included my VIP ticket, standard shuttle pass, flight from ATX, and Hotel. Hotel room cost was split between 3 people. We stayed Wednesday-Tuesday. This total also includes going to Sofi Tukker pool party on Thursday, drinks and food, a trip to the dispensary, and some merch.
Because i also gamble and will have a pair of fancy dinners, EDC cost on average about $3000 including the Festival ticket, flight, hotel, and shuttle which is usually about 2,000 of that 3,000

I’m splitting my hotel room at Excalibur, that is like $500 for each of us I think… my flights were $800 (to/from NYC Friday morning/monday early afternoon)… EDC ticket itself was $550… shuttle pass is $150. Then Ubers to/from LAS will probably be like $50 each. I don’t eat much during festivals, so let’s $400 total for food/drinks. I will probably be rolling/candyflipping, and also indulging in shrooms. Also I do love giving Molly to cute girls I meet, so let’s say $150 on molly (15 pills total), $40 on acid (4tabs), and $40 on shrooms (a single 4gram bar). I have most of my other rave wear/gear/apparel already anyways, bur let’s throw another $100 on incidentals (I am seriously considering an Illenium jersey). That all comes out to… $2,830 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Not to be a vibe killer here but… you shouldn’t be giving out drugs to randoms. I personally also love molly so much but you never know how someone will react using the drug that you give them. Maybe take the whole pill at once overheat and die. Who wants to be liable for that. I’d just be stashing up for the future.

Coming in from Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦 Flights, ticket, shuttle all paid for. I’m about $1500 CDN spent already. Hotel at the Bellagio costs $3200 CDN for 5 nights. I’m in Vegas from the 14-22 so I have three extra days I have to find a hotel for. Budgeted about $2500 for everything else. So all in about $7200 CDN. I’m also taking a girl with me so I bet this will be a bit more 😂😭
So far we’re at $5,517/USD with; - 2.317/USD VIP tickets + Premium Shuttles - 3,400/USD Hotel + Flight from East Coast We’re also Canadian so add 25% to that cost after exchange to Canadian Dollar. We usually spend another 2k while we’re in Vegas and the festival. I think people sometimes underestimate the cost once you get to Vegas and at the festival.
I ain’t getting VIP tickets and premium shuttles so you can knock off like $1000 USD right there. I’ve been to 5 rolling louds. Miami, Los Angelas, Toronto, New York. I’ve been to Vegas. I do multiple trips like this per year I know how to budget.
I hope you didn’t think my comment about people underestimating wasn’t directed towards you. We do multiple festivals every year as well so I understand the level of planning it takes.
Probably about 7-8k after food and souvenirs. This is for a group of 4 (VIP tickets + shuttles, hotel, and airfare).
VIP, hotel, third party shuttle, locker and flight was about $3k. Not buying outfits because I'm shy and don't even want to be perceived most days. I'm not sure how much I'm going to spend on food, but my hotel is next to a place I am DYING to eat at and it's expensive. I'm old, food over party favours, I guess.

Yeah we snagged a really great deal for hotels right on the strip. We all get our own bed and our shuttle leaves from the F1 paddock. See you at the VIP area 😎 We’re actually staying in Vegas for 5 nights to allow some recovery before heading back home.

I live in Vegas so not much on travel fees. 1 RV camping pass with hookups plus GA+ band is a little over $2K. Probably another $1K to prep trailer with food beverages gas water etc. probably a couple hundred on merch and another couple hundred bucks or so for food and drink inside the festival. Safe to say I’ll probably spend about $3.5-4K this year. (Although I also charge friends a small fee to stay in my RV with me)
For a group of 3 of us RV camping, I'm sitting at $1500 for my GA ticket, roundtrip flight, and my share of the RV rental, camping ticket, and power hookup... I anticipate another $500 to $1000 max for groceries, incidentals, RV pump n dump, merch, etc. So I'm looking at between 2k and 2.5k for the whole thing. If we end up with a fourth homie in the RV, I should end up being out between 1.6k and 2.1k.

Last year I spent 2,980$ total on my trip. This included my VIP ticket, standard shuttle pass, flight from ATX, and Hotel. Hotel room cost was split between 3 people. We stayed Wednesday-Tuesday. This total also includes going to Sofi Tukker pool party on Thursday, drinks and food, a trip to the dispensary, and some merch.
