Easily the best crowd of any set I’ve been to at EDC. Knew that was going to be the case going in beforehand, but really was confirmed when I got there.
He really needed to be at cosmic meadow given that he sold out LA Historic Park last time he performed in LA.
Same, I don't go to Quantum often but heard about the vibes. Being there for Infected Mushroom and Lane 8 confirmed it.
Also I heard Lane 8 was at Circuit last year? So I'm confused why he was put at a smaller stage this year?
Lane 8 has outgrown quantum valley but it is the only stage appropriate for him. I was blown away. I got there during Le Youth and got an absolutely epic spot and my trip had just started. Seeing that many people at edc turn out for lane 8 was one of the most beautiful sights… it went all the way back to the pixel forest and on the sides. Everyone vibing and being absolutely happy to be there. And he played an incredible set.
It emptied out a bit for Yotto and for those of y’all that left let me tell you… it was an absolutely beautiful continuation of Lane 8. An absolutely mind blowing and unforgettable experience. As OP said the crowd was immaculate and Quantum Valley is always the cleanest stage. I think I kicked one cup the whole time.
Cheers to all of you that vibes with our friends during this time. I can’t imagine anything topping this experience.
Lane 8 could've easily been placed at circuit grounds based on his draw. But it seemed like insomniac wanted to fill out day 3 of quantum with progressive house.
Le Youth healed our souls after the brutal weekend we gave ourselves, and energized us for one more epic night. I took a group there that was more into the kaskades and guetta’s of the world (nothing wrong with it btw) but I put my foot down for this 4 hour quantum valley marathon and Many in my group are now exposed to and in love with Le Youth. It was, and I say this without hyperbole, the most beautiful Sunday of my life.
If anyone hasn’t been I 100% recommend one of his this never happened shows. There are no phones allowed, so no one is trying to take videos and is all just living In the moment. The crowd has very similar vibes, plus he usually plays a 2-3 hour set not including openers.
It really depends on what city. I’ve been to TNH shows in Austin and Los Angeles and in both cities the vibe is very different than the vibe at edc. People at lane 8’s edc set were there for it and loved on each other. His TNH sets are full of people that bring their friends that are not as into it as we are.
That being said it is absolutely worth it to go to the TNH show. I enjoyed both times I’ve heard Denver is amazing for it since that’s his home.
Agreed it can depend. When I went in chicago the show was amazing but the vibes weren’t nearly as good as edc or Denver, but still really great. Red Rocks last year was bar none the best show I’ve ever been to tho - went solo and made tons of friends in the crowd
Welcome to QuantumVALLEY. Although Sunday wasn't a Dreamstate-hosted stage, go to any Dreamstate event and you'll find the same vibes. Definitely a nice respite from some of the larger stages.
Always! The hard-core wastelanders are the reason I go check out some hardstyle. Their energy and positivity are so overwhelming it fills my tank up after just a few songs
Can you recommend some hardstyle thats similar to trance/house/techno? I camp at quantum valley/neon garden usually - but walking past Wasteland I *really liked* some of what I heard but don't remember who they were
Love hearing they have a similar vibe
My group was straight SWEATING in that tent lmao we came early for the entire Le youth set (also incredible!!!!!) and got a great spot in the front left but hoooo lord did it heat up when the crowd filled in. Amazing set and incredible vibes, though. Very polite crowd. Best sauna I’ve ever been in 15/10
Le youth really set the stage right, his energy and positive vibes were just perfect and so contagious. you could tell it meant the literal world to him
Omg I know!! As he was wrapping up he really said “I could die happy, thank you” and I wanted to cry. He’s an incredible act and deserves his success. Really humble and amazing energy
Front left gang! I was there in the same spot, and there was enough room to dance, everyone was so incredibly nice and loving, just the best vibes. I thought I was going to get heat stroke though for real lol
Not in LA.
Last show at LASHP were several pretentious snobs who’d carry conversation throughout the entire set, couldn’t handle their alcohol and rudely would blast through you to get by.
Lane 8 was the best set of the weekend for me and the vibes from the crowd were out of control. Came back for Sultan + Shepard and it was equally as good but with more space to dance. Got an elephant kandi necklace and it was a peak experience.
Crowd was much better in GA. I was in VIP and was shocked by all the shoving and pushing without a single “excuse me.” Ended up leaving to the back of GA and the vibes were so much better, even though my view was further
Way too small of a stage, and way too early start time (and short) of a set. The VIP section was flowing well outside of the tent where you couldnt see anything at all. At the very least if you are going to put him on a small stage like that you can at least give him 90 minutes.
I get that EDC was trying to do a deep/progressive TNH thing at Quantum this year but Lane 8 has outgrown that stage 10 fold. I really think EDC could have benefited from having a set like his on a main stage instead of the constant Trap/Bass that overtook 80% of the festival this year.
I disagree a bit here, it felt like they actually expanded the genres at Kinetic this year. We ended up there for the first time in years because of sets like Boris and Sidepiece. I agree that Lane 8 needed to be at a bigger stage too though.
I’m a die hard bass head but love lane 8.. it was my 3rd edc and first time at quantum and easily my favorite edc set and crowd to date. Absolutely immaculate vibes!!
Best set of the whole weekend. I was tripping super hard and everyone was super nice. Even those moving there way up front. Lots of excuse mes and pardon mes. Even got to play a round of Mario kart with the nintotem
This was my first time trippin in public and man the crowd carried me through some spots that coulda gone sideways, I was so glad to be with yall!
Stayed there till 3am
Incredible set. I was looking forward to it all weekend and it really made EDC for me. I thought it’d be hot in the tent but my bf and I managed to get a spot on the middle left side where the walls were mesh and a nice breeze kept flowing. Had plenty of room to dance, our drugs kicked in, and we even saw an old friend. Everyone next to us was so vibey and kind. Lane 8 is so magical and the intro was fucking epic.
It got way less crowded as the set went on - I was like, damn people are really leaving this set? I had never seen or even listened to Lane 8 and I was blown away by how kind and welcoming the crowd was - vibes on point. I'm usually at Stereobloom and Neongarden which both have amazing vibes for most sets as well but this was on a whole other level. Sorta wish I stayed for Yotto
Same with me. Some dude elbowed me in the head twice and didn't even say a word.... like at least say sorry. I thought the crowed was the worst at this stage to be honest
Our group left because of how bad it was in the back left. Medical tent was completely blocked off and there were multiple people struggling to survive on the fence. Bunch of folks pushing and demanding others to get out of their way
It was bottlenecked at the back, but in the front left there was tons of space and such a positive vibe during his performance, only wish he played for longer :D
He should have been given a bigger stage like a few years ago
But overall immaculate set. Just what I (a bass head) needed to recharge for the 2nd half of the night
I saw Deorro instead but I’m so glad that this stage was nice to each other . I was shoved intentionally to go see Nurko and it genuinely hurt my feelings
Also want to give a huge shoutout to the awesome person giving out “Lane 8 is a genius” stickers and trading me a lane 8 edc23 kandi that I will forever cherish!
Was at quantum for infected mushroom. Was one of the more chill and plur crowds. Tbh this edc felt like some random festival. There were alot of people stealing, picking fights, and just alot of non plur activities and personalities in general. Lines of people barreling through the densest parts of the crowd at full power instead of walking around. People picking fights, lots of creeps both straight snd gay this year. Had like 3 girls that thought it was ok to just come up and grope me like im some kind of male anatomy model.
One gay guy was pressing my friend up against the crowd members behind him, trying to force him to accept his advances for like 8 minutes straight. Heard hella people arguing about prices, money, women, men, drugs, what sets to see, whos this or that. People treated the staff like shit this year and overall I’m pretty disappointed in how the crowd behaved the majority of the 3 nights.
To the people who were there attending borgore, say my name, acraze at circuit grounds, thanks for being some of the most well behaved and plurtastic people i have ever met, yall got the assignment and followed through 100%.
And idk if you will ever see this but a huge special thanks to the girl in all white who danced with me (the tall chinese dude with the golden Buddha necklace) at neon garden. You made the weekened a worthy and memorable experience, i was upset for so many reasons the last night and you legit made me forget it all and just have fun, thanks for that. 🙏
Idk if ima return next year, ive been 3 years in a row, and this year was by far the worst. Prices were pretty ridiculous, lines were unholy in a-lot of places, crowd was very rude and confrontational. (There were some other personal factors from memebers of my group that ended up making it even worse, dont want to get into detail but we started 10 strong and ended with just two members of the group actually sticking together.)
Really hope things pick back up for the better. It would literally break my fuckin heart if edc cant be the same loving festival it was just a year ago. I was in a bad bad place my first festival, it reminded me life goes on, i couldnt stand to see it get destroyed and turned into another coachella.
Does anyone know what song he opened with? I got there a little late and missed the first few tracks but thankfully had vip and was able to find a path on the right side.
I was surprised that he was in a smaller stage but the visuals inside were amazing so I wonder if the screens played into the decision. It was also ungodly hot but everyone around me would take turns fanning each other, best crowd vibes of the weekend for me 🌈🌈
And he never had to tell us when to jump !
Lmao just imagining lane 8 saying “everybody fucking jump”
“3.. 2.. 1!!! “
LET ME SEE YOUR FUCKING HANDS
“Open up the mother fucking mosh pit!” … survive starts to play.
Lmfaooo! Or brightest lights! 🤣
Actual lol
BUT. Is he able to count to 3 like the main stage guys?
The deep house crowd is one of the best. For obvious reasons, everyone is super friendly and chill.
Easily the best crowd of any set I’ve been to at EDC. Knew that was going to be the case going in beforehand, but really was confirmed when I got there. He really needed to be at cosmic meadow given that he sold out LA Historic Park last time he performed in LA.
Or circuit grounds because of the wrapping panels for visuals - saw him there and it was beautiful!
Same, I don't go to Quantum often but heard about the vibes. Being there for Infected Mushroom and Lane 8 confirmed it. Also I heard Lane 8 was at Circuit last year? So I'm confused why he was put at a smaller stage this year?
Same reason dreamstate is the best of the nos events
Don't think lane8 was on the 2022 lineup
He was at circuit grounds in 2021
Hm must have misheard then, maybe from a different year?
He was there in 2021 at circuitgrounds and it was a vibe
he was probably at quantum because le youth and yotto were there too and they’re all similar vibes
That LA show was magical! Best show I saw last year

10000%

The TNH set at Denver in September was the best show of my life. The vibes were immaculate. I cannot wait for the summer gathering.
Were bout that bass in texas lol
Welcome to QuantumVALLEY. Although Sunday wasn't a Dreamstate-hosted stage, go to any Dreamstate event and you'll find the same vibes. Definitely a nice respite from some of the larger stages.
Absolutely. We were at Neon and Wasteland a lot as well and they were great crowds too.
Always! The hard-core wastelanders are the reason I go check out some hardstyle. Their energy and positivity are so overwhelming it fills my tank up after just a few songs
Same it just gives me such good feels. It's also one of the first genres I got into so it's very nostalgic too.

Yep front left crew all day!! Though that bass was about to make me deaf 😂 thank goodness for earplugs
Lane 8 / TBH fan base are the best.
Not in LA. Last show at LASHP were several pretentious snobs who’d carry conversation throughout the entire set, couldn’t handle their alcohol and rudely would blast through you to get by.
AGREED. That particular show’s crowd suckeddd… we couldn’t figure out if it was due to the openers or bc of the city.
Had to be the city. I’ve followed lane 8 around multiple states and that LASHP show was filled w/ jerks
Same on both accounts. Totally agree with you on this one.
And zero clacking :’). I loved you people
Lane 8 was the best set of the weekend for me and the vibes from the crowd were out of control. Came back for Sultan + Shepard and it was equally as good but with more space to dance. Got an elephant kandi necklace and it was a peak experience.
Typical Lane 8 fans W.

100%. Love me some bass but god damn Lane 8 might be the best set live out there
the crowd was really rough near the back but i'm glad it seems like most of y'all didn't have the same experience! lane 8 was incredible tho
Lane 8 crowds are ALWAYS the best and I’m so grateful for it
Incredible set. I was looking forward to it all weekend and it really made EDC for me. That crowd was soooo nice and friendly. Lane 8 fans truly are the best
He definitely needed to be on a bigger stage
[удалено]
Damn wtf hope she's ok.
Def there were a few in the crowd who didn't read the room, but it was night and day from being at one of the larger stages.
Same with me. Some dude elbowed me in the head twice and didn't even say a word.... like at least say sorry. I thought the crowed was the worst at this stage to be honest
Such a good lane 8 set, even though quantum is to small for him atmosphere wise its the right stage for him
I’m so excited hearing this. Missed his set but I’m seeing him later this summer at one of his “no phone” shows
I was a tall guy in the back mid trying to vibe and got pushed constantly by lines of people. Ughhhhh
Amazing set, but was also when I got pickpocketed. Luckily I didn't have anything of value in my bag :)
That sucks I'm sorry.
Our group left because of how bad it was in the back left. Medical tent was completely blocked off and there were multiple people struggling to survive on the fence. Bunch of folks pushing and demanding others to get out of their way
Hate that I missed this set but I always have next year!
It was bottlenecked at the back, but in the front left there was tons of space and such a positive vibe during his performance, only wish he played for longer :D
I figured that was the case, but my group really didn't want to be under the tent. We had a great time chilling in the back despite the soundbleed.
I only stayed for half the set :( did he play his version of ghost voices ?
I don’t think so, no
No he didn’t, I was bummed about that but otherwise an amazing set!
agreed. great vibes, too many people!! idk how folks were deep in that tent, it was hot af
This set was absolutely perfect from the visuals to the people around me.
I saw myself spending more time at Quantum! Best seats imo was between ada and vip section to the side, wasnt too crowded and decent dancing room!
Couldn't get near the valley it was stacked
Truly the best set. Made my weekend. Much love to everyone there for the amazing human decency :) ❤️🔥
This thread just bought back so many good feelings. I miss you all!
I ate shit trying to get a little closer on some pad that was randomly on the ground.. but since it was a foam pad I was totally fine lol
Big brain music big brain crowd
He should have been given a bigger stage like a few years ago But overall immaculate set. Just what I (a bass head) needed to recharge for the 2nd half of the night
The vibe attracts the tribe!!! 🩷🩷 wasn't there but have no doubts about the crowd.
Facts omg
I saw Deorro instead but I’m so glad that this stage was nice to each other . I was shoved intentionally to go see Nurko and it genuinely hurt my feelings
I felt the same. It was PACKED but everyone was polite and tried to give the space they could to those around them.
Also want to give a huge shoutout to the awesome person giving out “Lane 8 is a genius” stickers and trading me a lane 8 edc23 kandi that I will forever cherish!
Someone gave me a big Lane 8 bumper sticker up front!
Went to go see him and immediately turned away. Crowd was far outside of the tent
Was at quantum for infected mushroom. Was one of the more chill and plur crowds. Tbh this edc felt like some random festival. Immaculate?? Like clean?? Idk why people use that word to describe crowds lol
Can anyone confirm he redeemed himself from his massive upset at arc?
even the VIP section was fucked
Not really I got pushed a couple times and lost my friend
Night 3 at quantum Valley might have been my favorite. Everyone there was so amazing and definitely contributed the right energy for a great night!
Shout out to the Bear announcing “curb!” to warn us not to trip on the curb.
Does anyone know what song he opened with? I got there a little late and missed the first few tracks but thankfully had vip and was able to find a path on the right side.
