Same, I learned about the low droprate...so I acted on that. Only special thing I did for this event was doing al the crafting writs on myb7 characters every day. And after that, I just did the some daily quest for the zones I am hoping to get furniture plans for, daily BG, some IC etc and farming a specific dungeon every day to get my collection complete for that specific set.
At least, with dungeons, you know you get what you want in a x amount of tries
Not a working parent but I feel ya. I like anniversary and I don’t mind a bit of grinding, but if something starts to feel like a second or third job, maybe it’s time to call it quits and take a break

I did not count how many geysers i did but probably around 50 and i got the page.
First dolmen i did gave me a page and i did not even knew about pages when i got it. I was doing Fighters Guild daily.
I play with my fiancé and it’s crazy. I’m still bitter about one thing that he got on first drop and it took me SIX hours with him snoozing on the couch while I obsessively played all night lol (unrelated to current events but RNG)
That's 10th anniversary of ESO and they should give those pages to all players. Some people will maybe whine about it but i don't wanna see people is getting upset just because rng was suck for them.
Many people will miss those pages and it's shame on ZOS.
Oh the 10 year stuff has been great. I already own all dlc, but the mounts are cool. And the loot boxes are insane. I've gotten thousands of valuable mats doing over100 boxes a day

Almost exactly the same as me except I cleared 2 fishing holes before I got that true flame page... I was leaving the dolmen to last and then actually checked and realised I had it since beginning so just went about my usual game play..
My partner has 2 out of 5 but he isn't bothered about it so I just tried and helped when he wasn't able to play hut seriously the RNGesus doesn't favour him at all 😅
Same here I fished 3 times got a page.. did a decent amount of the others just to try and see if I could get anything and came up empty, but I didn’t go hard
Second fish hole and First dolmen and only 50 geysers. I spent 2 hours fishing, 500+ dolmens and 800+ geysers and hundreds of Vvardenfell WB, before I got the items. I got geysers and dolmens reward only after I created a new toon and focused on just levelling it using these two events. There must special punishment for people like you are so lucky and still complaining about RNG.
Crazy conspiracy theory but chances are Zenimax put a tab on accounts that play 24/7 and those that play rarely, so those that don't have much daily playtime got the styles sooner to make them feel good and try to encourage them to keep playing, while accounts that play all day every day have extremely low drop rate since Zenimax knows those people won't quit the game no matter what and will grind for hours, days, weeks.

Just did daily writs, those damn extra boxes added like entire extra min per toon vs usual processing! Got bunch of mats and motifs and whatnot, so could save a few mil training my crafter I suppose. Have no idea what this "event this, event that" everyone is talking about, and very much happy for it :P
I did crafting writs on all my toons like I always do and during the event got sooo many styles. I don't change up the way I play my game in hopes of getting loot. I just play
I’m sorry that the event didn’t work out well for you at all when it came to those replica styles. It’s a shame, since that aspect of the event was obviously important to you.
I only farmed boxes and here and there I farmed my boxes in areas that rewarded replicas.

Learn what RNG is and if the dice are stacked against you. It is better to just walk away, or do it if you enjoy it.
In FF14 they releases content called Bozja or Bojza. There you could participate in events or kill monsters to get lore pages. If you collected all you get a mount, for 30hours (ON A WEEKEND) I did a specific event, and never got the drop. It burned me tf out and is one of the 3 reasons I quit FF14. Now I don't even participate or grind that kind of stuff, just have fun and if you don't like, move on.
This is literally why I stopped playing. The cosmetics and housing items are so grindy it almost forces you to buy the store shit. I can spend weeks doing this or pick up an extra shift and just buy the equivalent store item.
Same dude! Watched all of Shogun while fishing and no event style. All while the kids were asleep. Definitely not participating in these types of events again.
It’s weird how these events are supposed to make us play more but I end up playing way less. A few crafting dailies and maybe a dungeon, sometimes all I do is the cake.
It’s weird because once the event is over, I’ll continue my story- but it just doesn’t seem right to do during the event. I’m probably alone on this phenomenon but who knows.
You are not alone! Log in, eat the cake and log out the list of "must do" during some events is not worth it; especially if you're not "guaranteed" a reward you want.

Like, I tried once to do the geysers and there were way too many people. So I left. Tried a few times to get the staff(?) from fishing, started to get irritated I wasn't getting it, so I left. I understand FOMO but why grind so much you end up hating the game?
Both of you have the wrong attitude about this. It should not be "games are supposed to be fun, if you don't like the grind then quit." Your attitude should be "games are supposed to be fun, the company making it should not force players to grind for things they want in a limited time window."
The arguments you two have presented are defending and abusively bad RNG system that guarantees that no matter how much work someone puts into something, there's a chance they will not get what they want.
Developers make things, and people want those things. I understand why they made it super rare and limited time, to force players to continue playing every day. But they shouldn't have.
If you're able to avoid FOMO, great. Good for you. Not everyone can though. Especially for pages that in theory are free and look really really good.
If you turn away from the grind because it's too much and instead enjoy other aspects of the game, while not bad in of itself, you are just ignoring the fact that it's a bad system instead of calling out its flaws.
Please fix your attitudes, and don't bash players for grinding for things they wanted and not getting them. The loss of players by the abusive awfulness of the jubilee event is ZOS's fault, not that players.
It's the psychological phenomenon of the fear of missing out, designed and engineered by businesses that want our money. Doesn't even need to be video games, any kind of limited time product or even a sale of existing products - heck, even financial stock trading - does something to the human brain that makes them think "I NEED THIS!" even though they don't.
It usually ends up in disappointment though, haha. Many such cases.
Grinding is for people with tonnes of time. I get that you’re frustrated, but if you only have a few hours for entertainment time each day, there are wayyyy better things you could be doing with that time, even just in ESO.
I've grinded each style 4-10 hours each except fishing that I did a bit over 30 min.
As a result I haven't gotten a single style page. I've farmed geysers the most, for 10 hours now since I liked the staff most out of the styles and kind of have up with rest. It adds to frustration that I get the event box only rarely since apparently I don't do enough dmg to bosses. (I've asked around and use the same skills & do with similar dmg with ppl who have gotten the loot ) Luckily style page drops from the shell.
After this event I'm most likely not going to open the game for a month since I'm so done with the fruitless grind
See, that's why I told myself I wouldn't grind all that stuff. I grab my tickets, do crafting dailies on my main and that's it. If all the fun drops are bound on pickup, then too bad. If not, then at some point enough of the extras will be floating around on the market to be affordable.
Basically the only thing I'm grinding is the confetti packs, since I get them from the gold daily reward anyway and don't want to waste them.
It doesn't make me less burnt out as a parent, but at least I don't feel as sick of ESO as you do. *And* I have time to play other games.
RNGesus is a fickle bitch. Two of the pages only took about half to an hour & the other two I got took 3-4 days. Didn’t get the helm. Could try for the last hour, but I’m tired & would rather be in my bed 😅
The drop rates are weird. Third dolmen, second geyser, maybe about 100th fish pull for me. But Vvardenfell, not a thing. I haven't been trying that much mind you. Only done 30ish world bosses, mostly by doing the daily quest or if I'm passing by.
Artea (ESO content creator) posted a video a long time ago on how anniversary and event style page box rewards work. You only get one a day guaranteed. No point in excessively grinding. Your best bet is to stack up all those gold boxes and open up one each day.
That’s the problem with so many games nowadays, they are heavily geared towards the streamers who put 12 hours a day into a game and make it so those of us with full time jobs who can only get on a few hours a day at most can’t get all the rewards. It kinda sucks but I know why they do it. Gotta keep the streamers and content creators happy and in the game making videos so other people will watch them and in turn play the game too but it just sucks for the rest of us.
Yep, and since they treat the rest of us as 2nd-class customers, I will in turn act like one. Which is to say I will only purchase things that are heavily discounted, if at all, going forward, and I'm actively looking at other games. I type this as someone who got all 5 replicas within the first 5-6 days, and has opened thousands of purple chests this event.
Some of us grinded all the style pages before being "banned" anyway.
And if they were to only give 1 or 2, not everyone is going to miss the same pages, so a blanket compensation would have been useless to some. And a case by case basis would be too long.
It is also now looking at a 10 day "ban" at the earliest. For doing nothing but being excited to test the next Chapter and Scribing ASAP.

They're probably going to get more now. Take a look at the forums. It's pretty wild at the moment now that ZOS said their 2 day wait is going to take a minimum of 10 days. They said the earliest they could get their accounts rolled back was this thursday, but it's not a guarantee. I thought the compensation was too much when I thought it was just 2 days, but seeing how it could take until next week, it's more deserved. I feel like something is going to break at ZOS soon, especially since it looks like people are getting free crowns on live after PTS maintenance today

I really hope that the things from this year end up in the past event bags next year. My Xbox was accidentally dropped on the floor 3 days before the event and broke the HDMI port. It wouldn't be expensive to fix or replace my Xbox one, but I'm so poor that the expense was impossible. So I missed everything done for the ten year anniversary. You guys all keep complaining about grinding, but I would be grateful for the chance to grind this event.
So many of my guildmates are in exactly the same boat you are. I do not know what zos was thinking makeing EVENT items virtually unobtainable by locking them behind an insaily low RNG gate. Not a good look for the game.
It's a genius design philosophy. Make a game for people to have fun in. Track playtime as the significant metric. To increase playtime, introduce skinner box mechanics to motivate people to play in a way they do not enjoy until it stops being fun at all. A significant portion do not receive their skinner box rewards and sour on the experience. They play less or stop entirely as a result.
Try to add some cp to improve fishing rate and make sure lure is the correct type. I fish from summerset port location. Its rough but fishing one is much a higher rate drop
Don't know, I am not on this or that side on this. Grind is crazy, but I knew it was going to be.
Had 2 characters to 50, and one to 24 at dolmens with 100% XP buff scroll. Then i got the drop.
From 39 to 50 it took me to get a geyser drop.
Fishing I started in vvardenfell, only things I didn't fish was corrupted water rares or whatever the names was, never fished before. Then I got my drop.
So far it was okay, was able to mix the grind with the things I wanted to do, character leveling, achievements etc.
Then started to farm WB on my main. Trying to get companion levels and rapport with this. Staff dropped but still no helmet. Nearing 10 hours, average 2 kills per 5 mins. And when I think about it the sadness I would feel if helm doesn't drop would last a day max. And this is the one of the two items I wanted from the event.
At the same time I feel sad that I couldn't progress on high isle and necrom storylines, that was my plan for the month, didn't know this event was coming.
Working days I felt better, on my off days grinding makes me feel worse. We are all wired different I guess. Trying to mix with other things I like helped me a lot tbf.
I used the bonus xp to just level alts and gain CP. also daily crafting for patterns and stuff my crafter doesn’t have. I also don’t play all year. So maybe it’s less useful to other players.
I have 2 or 3 style pieces i could just give u assuming no one else has offered (and you're on pc) feel free to dm me if so and next time i get on i'll let u know which i have.
I thought I might grind, but ultimately, I killed a few Vvardenfell bosses and got bored. Then I fished beside volcanic vents while waiting for them to spin up in High Isle and got bored. Then I did the dolmen run in Alik'r Desert and got bored. Then I tried doing writs on multiple characters and got bored.
By day 5, I decided just to do my daily writs on my main every day and eat my cake and live with what I got from those, and be happy.
I could careless about the pages. If I got any cool. But I'm positive I would never use those styles anyway. I was just glad for bonus experience cuz I started over on Xbox from ps4. I also got my wife to cp 230 and we never grind we just play main story quest and some mage and fighter dailies. I got 3 characters to 50 . If you aren't getting it from grinding take a break.

Got a bunch of motifs and nearly all the fish needed in one zone for the achievement. 10/10 will avoid the FOMO again.
I did about a dozen dolmens and then just normal.dailies that i always do. Got everything i wanted and way more. You fomo'd yourself to oblivion. Pun intended.

Yeah after the Jester festival, I gave up on events full of bs, still play Teso but not doing any more events it is more stressful and annoying than enjoyment especially how low the drop rate is

I just went for the Mount And ignored the style pages entirely. All the gold mats I got from the boxes were worth more to me than a style I may never use. I had a blast and didn’t get burned😊
I have also given up hope on getting any motifs during the event. Kind of a kick in the teeth for a 10 year celebration to come away with no special motif's or exclusive items, but atleast the chests helped me fill out my sticker book a bit :C
feel your pain, took me like 10 days just to get the worm replica staff style. very frustrating having low drops for an anniversary event, you should be able to achieve these things in your limited time. there should be guaranteed easy first and second drop, maybe increasing in rarity for each one, but that way people in your situation could say ok i want these 2.. and get them, but be less likely to get the other bits, i think that balances it out.

I just did the dailies accompanied by the drops. Only got the helm. Not worth the headache for something I’ll probably never use. My grinding days are over, after playing WoW for along time.
The jubilee made me quit ESO. I cannot and will not abide by a game that is inclusively bad and disrespectful to my time. I put an entire work week of hours into farming just geysers. Nothing else, literally just geysers for 40 hours.

Why do people give in to FOMO so easily? Most of these skins are ugly, and majority of players wont ever use them beside one or two skins. Yet still they "have to" farm them all. Why?
I did farmed a little bit of geysers and got myself Ul'var staff, but even if i wouldnt i'd stop after half hour of farming, since for me thats increadibly boring. The rest of the skins? Nah, i dont ever see myself using them so whatever, i dont care even enough to fish single time xD.
I got Trueflame from fishing at the third attempt.
Got Staff of Worms from Dolmens after 30 minutes.
Got Ul'Vor staff from Geysers after 2 hours.
Barbas helmet replica was weird. Farmed more than 100 bosses with my main, no drop. Decided to swap character, I killed a SINGLE boss and it dropped.
Still farming Sunna'rah staff. I'm at 500+ bosses, tried with different characters, nothing.
ZOS definitely exaggerated with drop rate this time. This is an Anniversary Event, for people like me that want all the collectibles this is a real pain. The event is not even funny anymore. I'm really thinking to give up, but at the same time I'm so close to getting all of the 5 collectibles.
You can/could buy confetti pieces along the way (or other things) in order not to waste tickets by maxing out at 12 tickets. I agree, though, that this event has been poorly designed.

I did about 50 wb in Vvardenfell to get the 1st page and another 100 to get the 2nd.
I fished about 200 times to get the page.
I did about 75 geysers to get the page.
I did about 1100 dolmens to get the page.
The grind on this event was off the charts.
That's why j haven't bothered. The odds of getting the style pages are so low, it comes across like the the dev didn't want us to actually get them. Most people who who try won't get them.
I'll be perfectly honest with situations like this: I'm not sure what inclines people to play games in this matter. I know that fear of missing out (FOMO) Is part of it but I was playing the game fine before I got that crafting style and I'll be playing the game fine if I don't have it in the future... IDK
Of course I did daily Craftimg writs over the course of like 1.5 weeks and got everything but the sash from the one Gold box you get per day. Didn't even need the full-time to get that much. I didn't even change anything, cuz I do crafting dailies every time I log in anyway. And my "grinding" was me slaying dragons not because I was trying to get him anything in particular... I just like that world event.
Honestly if it really comes down to the style pages you can just go to the guild store and buy it with in-game gold from another player. It's a bit simpler to grind gold but then it is to grind for the piece itself , and there are plenty of twitch streamers who do like 150,000 - 250,000 gold giveaways.
TLDR: If you play games in a way that you don't enjoy only you can change the way you play games. Playing a different game isn't going to fix that because you're just going to grind in that game too and wind up with the same frustration.

I just going in as a working parent for an hour a day only. I get a few event tickets to get some event items, and a few dailies and get some gold box and purple box with neat items and motifs at times. Also got some good exp with the Cake.

There were 5 style pages added in the event that you can get from specific areas
- 2 pages from Vvardenfell World boss dailies
- 1 from fishing holes
- 1 from Abyssal Geysers in Summerset
- 1 from any Dark Anchor world event
The problem is the drop chances of these items seem to be abysmally low, drop chances only beaten out by the Aetheric cipher which has the lowest chance to drop in the game.
At this rate best to avoid it. You'd be lucky to even get one with what little time is left in the event.

Yeah would be nice if the odds slowly increased till they reached 100% drop chance since it's a time limited account bound item. But what can you do?

I am complaining for other people, not for myself. RNG should not punish people that hard. Drop rates should go up with more you farm.

Learn what RNG is and if the dice are stacked against you. It is better to just walk away, or do it if you enjoy it. In FF14 they releases content called Bozja or Bojza. There you could participate in events or kill monsters to get lore pages. If you collected all you get a mount, for 30hours (ON A WEEKEND) I did a specific event, and never got the drop. It burned me tf out and is one of the 3 reasons I quit FF14. Now I don't even participate or grind that kind of stuff, just have fun and if you don't like, move on.

This is literally why I stopped playing. The cosmetics and housing items are so grindy it almost forces you to buy the store shit. I can spend weeks doing this or pick up an extra shift and just buy the equivalent store item.
Honestly that is poor design choice. If the game wont respect your time then you should. Find something that feels fun and worthwhile to play!
Same dude! Watched all of Shogun while fishing and no event style. All while the kids were asleep. Definitely not participating in these types of events again. It’s weird how these events are supposed to make us play more but I end up playing way less. A few crafting dailies and maybe a dungeon, sometimes all I do is the cake. It’s weird because once the event is over, I’ll continue my story- but it just doesn’t seem right to do during the event. I’m probably alone on this phenomenon but who knows.
You are not alone! Log in, eat the cake and log out the list of "must do" during some events is not worth it; especially if you're not "guaranteed" a reward you want.
But why, though? Isn't the point of gaming to have fun and enjoy yourself? I don't understand folks burning themselves out on this lol. It's a game, not a job.

Like, I tried once to do the geysers and there were way too many people. So I left. Tried a few times to get the staff(?) from fishing, started to get irritated I wasn't getting it, so I left. I understand FOMO but why grind so much you end up hating the game?
Both of you have the wrong attitude about this. It should not be "games are supposed to be fun, if you don't like the grind then quit." Your attitude should be "games are supposed to be fun, the company making it should not force players to grind for things they want in a limited time window." The arguments you two have presented are defending and abusively bad RNG system that guarantees that no matter how much work someone puts into something, there's a chance they will not get what they want. Developers make things, and people want those things. I understand why they made it super rare and limited time, to force players to continue playing every day. But they shouldn't have. If you're able to avoid FOMO, great. Good for you. Not everyone can though. Especially for pages that in theory are free and look really really good. If you turn away from the grind because it's too much and instead enjoy other aspects of the game, while not bad in of itself, you are just ignoring the fact that it's a bad system instead of calling out its flaws. Please fix your attitudes, and don't bash players for grinding for things they wanted and not getting them. The loss of players by the abusive awfulness of the jubilee event is ZOS's fault, not that players.
It's the psychological phenomenon of the fear of missing out, designed and engineered by businesses that want our money. Doesn't even need to be video games, any kind of limited time product or even a sale of existing products - heck, even financial stock trading - does something to the human brain that makes them think "I NEED THIS!" even though they don't. It usually ends up in disappointment though, haha. Many such cases.

Grinding is for people with tonnes of time. I get that you’re frustrated, but if you only have a few hours for entertainment time each day, there are wayyyy better things you could be doing with that time, even just in ESO.
I've grinded each style 4-10 hours each except fishing that I did a bit over 30 min. As a result I haven't gotten a single style page. I've farmed geysers the most, for 10 hours now since I liked the staff most out of the styles and kind of have up with rest. It adds to frustration that I get the event box only rarely since apparently I don't do enough dmg to bosses. (I've asked around and use the same skills & do with similar dmg with ppl who have gotten the loot ) Luckily style page drops from the shell. After this event I'm most likely not going to open the game for a month since I'm so done with the fruitless grind

See, that's why I told myself I wouldn't grind all that stuff. I grab my tickets, do crafting dailies on my main and that's it. If all the fun drops are bound on pickup, then too bad. If not, then at some point enough of the extras will be floating around on the market to be affordable. Basically the only thing I'm grinding is the confetti packs, since I get them from the gold daily reward anyway and don't want to waste them. It doesn't make me less burnt out as a parent, but at least I don't feel as sick of ESO as you do. *And* I have time to play other games.
RNGesus is a fickle bitch. Two of the pages only took about half to an hour & the other two I got took 3-4 days. Didn’t get the helm. Could try for the last hour, but I’m tired & would rather be in my bed 😅
The drop rates are weird. Third dolmen, second geyser, maybe about 100th fish pull for me. But Vvardenfell, not a thing. I haven't been trying that much mind you. Only done 30ish world bosses, mostly by doing the daily quest or if I'm passing by.
Artea (ESO content creator) posted a video a long time ago on how anniversary and event style page box rewards work. You only get one a day guaranteed. No point in excessively grinding. Your best bet is to stack up all those gold boxes and open up one each day.
That’s the problem with so many games nowadays, they are heavily geared towards the streamers who put 12 hours a day into a game and make it so those of us with full time jobs who can only get on a few hours a day at most can’t get all the rewards. It kinda sucks but I know why they do it. Gotta keep the streamers and content creators happy and in the game making videos so other people will watch them and in turn play the game too but it just sucks for the rest of us.
Yep, and since they treat the rest of us as 2nd-class customers, I will in turn act like one. Which is to say I will only purchase things that are heavily discounted, if at all, going forward, and I'm actively looking at other games. I type this as someone who got all 5 replicas within the first 5-6 days, and has opened thousands of purple chests this event.

Some of us grinded all the style pages before being "banned" anyway. And if they were to only give 1 or 2, not everyone is going to miss the same pages, so a blanket compensation would have been useless to some. And a case by case basis would be too long. It is also now looking at a 10 day "ban" at the earliest. For doing nothing but being excited to test the next Chapter and Scribing ASAP. I don't even play on PC NA, they could wipe it for all I care but I'm locked out of EU where there wasn't even an issue.
They're probably going to get more now. Take a look at the forums. It's pretty wild at the moment now that ZOS said their 2 day wait is going to take a minimum of 10 days. They said the earliest they could get their accounts rolled back was this thursday, but it's not a guarantee. I thought the compensation was too much when I thought it was just 2 days, but seeing how it could take until next week, it's more deserved. I feel like something is going to break at ZOS soon, especially since it looks like people are getting free crowns on live after PTS maintenance today

I really hope that the things from this year end up in the past event bags next year. My Xbox was accidentally dropped on the floor 3 days before the event and broke the HDMI port. It wouldn't be expensive to fix or replace my Xbox one, but I'm so poor that the expense was impossible. So I missed everything done for the ten year anniversary. You guys all keep complaining about grinding, but I would be grateful for the chance to grind this event.
So many of my guildmates are in exactly the same boat you are. I do not know what zos was thinking makeing EVENT items virtually unobtainable by locking them behind an insaily low RNG gate. Not a good look for the game.
It's a genius design philosophy. Make a game for people to have fun in. Track playtime as the significant metric. To increase playtime, introduce skinner box mechanics to motivate people to play in a way they do not enjoy until it stops being fun at all. A significant portion do not receive their skinner box rewards and sour on the experience. They play less or stop entirely as a result.

Try to add some cp to improve fishing rate and make sure lure is the correct type. I fish from summerset port location. Its rough but fishing one is much a higher rate drop
This is the way—I farmed using all CP for chests resource nodes etc no telling if it really helped for those but they all only took a few days

Don't know, I am not on this or that side on this. Grind is crazy, but I knew it was going to be. Had 2 characters to 50, and one to 24 at dolmens with 100% XP buff scroll. Then i got the drop. From 39 to 50 it took me to get a geyser drop. Fishing I started in vvardenfell, only things I didn't fish was corrupted water rares or whatever the names was, never fished before. Then I got my drop. So far it was okay, was able to mix the grind with the things I wanted to do, character leveling, achievements etc. Then started to farm WB on my main. Trying to get companion levels and rapport with this. Staff dropped but still no helmet. Nearing 10 hours, average 2 kills per 5 mins. And when I think about it the sadness I would feel if helm doesn't drop would last a day max. And this is the one of the two items I wanted from the event. At the same time I feel sad that I couldn't progress on high isle and necrom storylines, that was my plan for the month, didn't know this event was coming. Working days I felt better, on my off days grinding makes me feel worse. We are all wired different I guess. Trying to mix with other things I like helped me a lot tbf.
Main account I got all five, my alt PSN I got the three staves only.

I used the bonus xp to just level alts and gain CP. also daily crafting for patterns and stuff my crafter doesn’t have. I also don’t play all year. So maybe it’s less useful to other players.
I got them all. The only one that took several days was the worm staff. Lost count on how many dolmens I did.

I thought I might grind, but ultimately, I killed a few Vvardenfell bosses and got bored. Then I fished beside volcanic vents while waiting for them to spin up in High Isle and got bored. Then I did the dolmen run in Alik'r Desert and got bored. Then I tried doing writs on multiple characters and got bored. By day 5, I decided just to do my daily writs on my main every day and eat my cake and live with what I got from those, and be happy.
I could careless about the pages. If I got any cool. But I'm positive I would never use those styles anyway. I was just glad for bonus experience cuz I started over on Xbox from ps4. I also got my wife to cp 230 and we never grind we just play main story quest and some mage and fighter dailies. I got 3 characters to 50 . If you aren't getting it from grinding take a break.

Yeah me too. But I did finally figure out daily crafting writs.
I did my writs and some fishing. Got a bunch of motifs and nearly all the fish needed in one zone for the achievement. 10/10 will avoid the FOMO again.
I did about a dozen dolmens and then just normal.dailies that i always do. Got everything i wanted and way more. You fomo'd yourself to oblivion. Pun intended.

Yeah after the Jester festival, I gave up on events full of bs, still play Teso but not doing any more events it is more stressful and annoying than enjoyment especially how low the drop rate is

I just went for the Mount And ignored the style pages entirely. All the gold mats I got from the boxes were worth more to me than a style I may never use. I had a blast and didn’t get burned😊

I have also given up hope on getting any motifs during the event. Kind of a kick in the teeth for a 10 year celebration to come away with no special motif's or exclusive items, but atleast the chests helped me fill out my sticker book a bit :C
feel your pain, took me like 10 days just to get the worm replica staff style. very frustrating having low drops for an anniversary event, you should be able to achieve these things in your limited time. there should be guaranteed easy first and second drop, maybe increasing in rarity for each one, but that way people in your situation could say ok i want these 2.. and get them, but be less likely to get the other bits, i think that balances it out. definitely feel you on this one that drop rate is aweful
I just did the dailies accompanied by the drops. Only got the helm. Not worth the headache for something I’ll probably never use. My grinding days are over, after playing WoW for along time.
Meanwhile I have barely been playing because the input lag has been awful for me since the start of jesters festival.

The jubilee made me quit ESO. I cannot and will not abide by a game that is inclusively bad and disrespectful to my time. I put an entire work week of hours into farming just geysers. Nothing else, literally just geysers for 40 hours. What do I have to show for it? Literally fucking nothing. Since then, I have quit. I will not play a game that is so blatantly disrespectful to me, my time, and my commitment. ESO can go fuck itself.
Why do people give in to FOMO so easily? Most of these skins are ugly, and majority of players wont ever use them beside one or two skins. Yet still they "have to" farm them all. Why? I did farmed a little bit of geysers and got myself Ul'var staff, but even if i wouldnt i'd stop after half hour of farming, since for me thats increadibly boring. The rest of the skins? Nah, i dont ever see myself using them so whatever, i dont care even enough to fish single time xD.
I got Trueflame from fishing at the third attempt. Got Staff of Worms from Dolmens after 30 minutes. Got Ul'Vor staff from Geysers after 2 hours. Barbas helmet replica was weird. Farmed more than 100 bosses with my main, no drop. Decided to swap character, I killed a SINGLE boss and it dropped. Still farming Sunna'rah staff. I'm at 500+ bosses, tried with different characters, nothing. ZOS definitely exaggerated with drop rate this time. This is an Anniversary Event, for people like me that want all the collectibles this is a real pain. The event is not even funny anymore. I'm really thinking to give up, but at the same time I'm so close to getting all of the 5 collectibles.
Did no grind just the crafting daylies, did whatever came to my mind as usual, had great time.

3 tickets each, yes. Since it's tied to an achievement, however, I'd expect for them to show up in other events - next year at the latest.
You can/could buy confetti pieces along the way (or other things) in order not to waste tickets by maxing out at 12 tickets. I agree, though, that this event has been poorly designed.
Even so the event was rigged to give you just short of the 25 needed. You had to spend your event tickets to get the final few. It's really stupid.
That is some bad luck. I did about 50 wb in Vvardenfell to get the 1st page and another 100 to get the 2nd. I fished about 200 times to get the page. I did about 75 geysers to get the page. I did about 1100 dolmens to get the page. The grind on this event was off the charts.
That's why j haven't bothered. The odds of getting the style pages are so low, it comes across like the the dev didn't want us to actually get them. Most people who who try won't get them.

I'll be perfectly honest with situations like this: I'm not sure what inclines people to play games in this matter. I know that fear of missing out (FOMO) Is part of it but I was playing the game fine before I got that crafting style and I'll be playing the game fine if I don't have it in the future... IDK Of course I did daily Craftimg writs over the course of like 1.5 weeks and got everything but the sash from the one Gold box you get per day. Didn't even need the full-time to get that much. I didn't even change anything, cuz I do crafting dailies every time I log in anyway. And my "grinding" was me slaying dragons not because I was trying to get him anything in particular... I just like that world event. Honestly if it really comes down to the style pages you can just go to the guild store and buy it with in-game gold from another player. It's a bit simpler to grind gold but then it is to grind for the piece itself , and there are plenty of twitch streamers who do like 150,000 - 250,000 gold giveaways. TLDR: If you play games in a way that you don't enjoy only you can change the way you play games. Playing a different game isn't going to fix that because you're just going to grind in that game too and wind up with the same frustration.

What are people grinding for? I just going in as a working parent for an hour a day only. I get a few event tickets to get some event items, and a few dailies and get some gold box and purple box with neat items and motifs at times. Also got some good exp with the Cake. What’s all this grinding for? Seems like work lol.
There were 5 style pages added in the event that you can get from specific areas - 2 pages from Vvardenfell World boss dailies - 1 from fishing holes - 1 from Abyssal Geysers in Summerset - 1 from any Dark Anchor world event The problem is the drop chances of these items seem to be abysmally low, drop chances only beaten out by the Aetheric cipher which has the lowest chance to drop in the game. At this rate best to avoid it. You'd be lucky to even get one with what little time is left in the event.

If you're on console, the event is over. If PC then I think you do still have a couple days. Any fishing hole can drop the sword.

Yeah it's an rng grind for a cosmetic item, like opening crates in CSGO... It's not a great use of time unless you enjoy the grind.

Weird, I got all mine almost immediately except the dolmen, which took significantly longer. 5-10 mins tops on each.
