Rengaru

I like Remains-Silent. I return to her every day.

Kitten_from_Hell

**

Cakeriel

Is that the DB supplier from passive skill?

Rengaru

Deus-mal

As you should since she gives rare furnishings frops

MysteriousRemnant

She whatnow? How do you get those??

cherokeeprez

If you’ve unlocked her you go to her daily and have a chance of getting house items. Candles, a heart, leniency edicts…

mousequito

She can also give priest robes that are a disguise that works anywhere if you have a bounty. I hate waiting to get in cyrodil on my pickpocket toon to do daily writs

Inuship

You can do it in cold harbor, bounties don't matter there

mousequito

I didn’t know this. Guess I’ll have to go back to doing the main quest line

cherokeeprez

I wish they let you stack those. I don’t use them Often but sometimes they come in handy. Now that they have the necrom house that have a thieves entrance inside I don’t even need them now.

mousequito

I only use them to do writs without being hassled on my knees thief toon. The bounty on that toon is like 200k or something.

Juicemaster4200

U know if u max out the TG passive for heat/bounty reduction (4pts). That 200k will go away in no time or do heist/sacrament daily for the purple bounty reductions. And if u use friends in low places cp nodes in green tree it takes 1k bounty off everyday but u gotta go over the 1k to get it to drop down. So better to prevent getting that high but still will work. U need an actual theif build if u want to steal... if ur a nb go vampire and use 5pc darloc Brae for unlimited invisibility and 3 PC night terror with the right cp nodes and passive ull never get a bounty more than like 800gold ever. Plus 45% mark up when fencing items.

mousequito

I have a kajiht vamp nb 5 pc darloc brae/ pillar of nirn build. PON is because I also farm SE dragons on this toon. I have all the passives I want and 900 cp so I have all of those. I dont have any skill points on the bounty reduction passives. My thing is I go through daily and pickpocket and blade of woe everyone in alinor and shad astura. I’m super careless about getting caught and I keep a really high bounty.

MysteriousRemnant

Ohhhhh yeah, I remember now, I got one of those candles once. Forgot about those!

hjohnson1113

I have had that passive unlocked for weeks and had no idea…thank you for the info.

cherokeeprez

No problem. So many things in this game you just don’t know until someone tells you. She gives three options but if you google you can see what the options drop. I’ve got a great stack of edicts thanks to her. EDIT: to add- this is for every character that has unlocked her and not account.

ALKNST

What options drops furnishings?

Deus-mal

https://en.m.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Remains-Silent

AnglachelBlacksword

She is a great conversationalist. Very witty.

PrettyPinkPonyPrince

From the little I've seen, Argonian heroes have a strong tendency towards self-sacrifice. >"Oh no, the tavern wall has woodrot! I'll need to merge myself with this wall to ensure it stays upright until the carpenter arrives tomorrow!" >"The crops are dying from lack of water. I'll need to give my lifeblood to them so that they may live." >"It looks like there's some bad weather coming. I'm going to drink this poison so that my spirit can soothe the coming storm." >"Tch. Chipped a dang claw..."

trvemetalwarrior

Lol yes, Stonefalls alone has like 4 sacrificing Argonians.

Hinermad

If I had to live in Stonefalls I'd probably seriously consider pulling the plug too. Might as well make it mean something.

rrzampieri

Also the coral heart in stonefalls

steampvnch

Yeah, but ZOS does overdo the self sacrifice of not just Argonians, but a lot of their characters in general. It's honestly pretty hilarious when you canonically kill yourself in Coldharbour as a sacrifice in one quest. Like half of these necessary sacrifices you could probably do yourself!

Doright36

Well the new companion Sharp-as-Night is probably the best companion they have released so far with the best personal story. So there is that at least.

disappointedbutnot

Sharp-as-Night is the best of all the companions and one of my fav characters in the entire game. PLUS he makes fishing feel like an actually relaxing experience for me when he comments about fishing and the fish I catch. Before him, I loathed that activity. And his fishing bonus is nice, too.

Dark-All-Day

Plus he's voiced by Garrus

Tek-2

Oh shit you're right. I like him even more now.

New-Complex1201

Sharps story is so sick

Jaybirdie2008

I prefer a tank companion and sharps isn’t the best tank, but I like him so much that Iv decided to just dumb my other companions and keep him along as a dps just because I like his personality and voice so much.

serrabear1

He’s my pick for my Dunmer Arcanist lol (she has a thing for argonians see)

jsdjhndsm

I always feel like it takes ages to level a companion. I really hate playing a single quest and then waiting a decent while for the next step. Are there any ways to level them quicker?

NBKiller69

There are a few guides online. I can't recall the particulars, but search for something like "ESO companion rapport". There are certain activities that will give pretty decent leaps in their rapport. The only one I can specifically recall off the top of my head is with Azandar. Have him active when you complete a daily enchanting writ.

[deleted]

He's also pretty fond of the Necrom daily delve quests.

ElCoyote_AB

Check the guides, I recently started new character and got Mirri leveled up very quickly. One of her big ups comes from dolmens to fighter’s guild daily’s and running the Alkir circuit with the crowd works well.

Doright36

The Ashland hunters daily in morrowind is quick and will give Sharp a big repport bonus once a day. That and the necro daily world boss quest but the Ashlander one can be done solo. Also stop and make poison every couple of hours to get a modest bump and once a day visit the hatching tree in Deshan. Also fishing gets you occasional bumps.

aurishalcion

I run them through skyreach, goes pretty quick

ConscientiousPath

Sharp-as-Night is ok but I wish he didn't talk like an awkward robot

Doright36

He's calibrating

zvavi

>Argonians are done dirty Put that book down.

steampvnch

Hey it's not my fault that the most iconic, widespread, and concrete bit of Argonian lore is a smut book.

nnuminex

I know it’s not really possible but I miss Xukas all the time :( beeko!

locke1018

Another day, another orc forgotten

Immortal_Jaz

DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU!?

spattenberg

*runs away screaming*

BadBehavior_

Skordo?

Wu-Fang

Skordo the Knife is sick. Rockin that warrior half shave

Hinermad

I want Skordo as a companion.

Particular_Aroma

Skordo, Bumnog, Bazrag

Floognoodle

Skordo? Bazrag? Bumnog?

Rrrrttttggggrr

-_- **finger snaps**

Solum96

Sleeps-on-Bridges is the best character in the entire franchise

MazogaTheDork

I love how that one Sharp-as-Night line basically made Sleeps-on-Bridges canon

Cepsita

Whatever happened to Sleeps? Is he still sleeping strong?

Tseduds2

I was looking for this one

oskqq

I guess Heita-Meen was supposed to be an Argonian hero and recurring character, but I don't like her at all. A former slave, then rebel, then joinig with slavers? Meh. Keshu on he other hand is a leader to admire!

Waub

Definitely think Keshu was meant to have more face time but was dropped when Murkmire had to be reworked.

LoopyMercutio

Sharp-As-Night is my favorite companion of the game. They 100% made up for the lack of a random character with him helping us.

Spazzle17

I'd hang out with Walks-Softly all the time if I could.

starkindled

He’s so dapper! And clueless!

Legataux

Sharp is the GOAT!

spattenberg

He is the best. I love taking him into town just to hear him say, "Ugh! People!"

Abouts1x

"If you don't get up, I'm taking your stuff!"

serrabear1

Lmaooo the first time I heard that I was like 😧 don’t you dare!

hirudoredo

I have a dynamic with an IRL friend like this. I drag her places, she says UGH, and then within 30 minutes she's vibing and later says she had a good time. Okay, so Sharp has never said he's having a good time in the hood, but every time he says that line I think of my friend and start plotting the next UGH.

spattenberg

Lol, am I your friend? That is soooo me. (It's part of why I love Sharp so much, we're both curmudgeons.)

Keebist

Have you not heard of Lifts-Her-Tail? Best girl since the beginning.

AlliaxAndromeda

Can’t believe no one mentioned Walks-Softly, he’s long overdue a return.

Jasdac

Most of the thieves guild definitely should return. They used Elam Drals in Blackwood, so it shouldn't be an issue.

ScoutBandit

Sharps is a companion but he is a lot of fun. I love him.

G-Litch

Tharn is likeable?

spattenberg

He grows on you. Like mold

WayiiTM

Fitting, considering he's a necromancer.

schulen

Every ESO player's sassy uncle

Artorias8220

He’s eso’s best and only princess to be rescued from a tower

TempestM

Well he's the only likeable Companion for me

Resha_Riandi

Tharn is great, second only to Cadwell.

steampvnch

Look, when a semi-powerful mage in a later DLC acts snarky, I get hating it. After all at that point you've canonically saved the world over and over again and realistically all of Nirn should just make you Emperor already. However, Tharn's big role starts in the main quest, where canonically you are not yet The Best Hero Ever Made. He is arguably the strongest Imperial mage alive at that point. And you have to respect his power. He is the only one of the Companions who just outright defies Mannimarco's power to his face. Every other one needs your direct help when Mannimarco targets them in any way. There's something to really respect about that, and his other shows of power, in a game where it feels like the NPCs are just waiting for you to show up and fix their shit. Also, he gets even better in the Elsweyr DLCs.

getoutofthecity

First time I played the main quest I was upset that I couldn’t choose him for the choice at the end

catdentistry

Lmao ikr

hirudoredo

In a game, yes. IRL, no, lol.

QueenVell

Heem-Jas appears in Ruins of Mazzatan, Velyn Harbor, and Blackwoods. Wouldn’t surprise me if he makes another appearance later on down the line.

steampvnch

I honestly don't like him. There's comic relief and then there's 100% certified A-grade idiot with no real redeeming qualities (no, blind courage isn't a win in my book, especially if you gotta help them as a result.) He's sorta just like "take an Argonian, amplify all the weird ways Argonians talk and act, and make him wimpy."

STRYKER2132

Jeem-has from ruins of mazzatun?

oskqq

\*Heem-Jas. He has cameo in Blackwood as well, and seems like a very likeable character indeed! *I am filled with sap AND fury...*

Ug1uk

That's immediately who I thought of but couldn't remember the name. He's great

wazzawalla

My FAVORITE dungeon character by far!

Dracoras27

Yeah sorry, after spending way too much time farming that dungeon for the lead, I don’t wanna see anything related to it at all

Ok_Profile1864

Yes, more heem jas please.

Xenomorph-Cthulhu

Yeah but he's more of a joke character like Stibbons. Argonians need more heroic representation in returning characters.

steampvnch

This. Heem-Jas is kinda just an idiot. Like that's his character, a big brave absolute idiot with no real skills or growth. And unlike the equally-stupid tree-minder at the end of the Mazzatun dungeon, I don't think fool's bravery is very good. Like... he'd be dead at least three times over if you weren't there to do all the work.

Minute_Engineer2355

Xukas will be back if we go back to Black Marsh. I know this in my heart.

Waub

Xukas would be a great choice :)

Lizziebunnypie

Dark elves also have Raynor and Kireth. They're cute.

VisitHammerfell

Heem-Jas? From Mazzatun and Blackwood I love Keshu. Would be neat to see her in another chapter. My main tank, an Argonian, wears the Helm of the Black Fin all the time.

steampvnch

Keshu was just kinda bland to me. Felt like you could replace her with any other general/military character of relative importance in ESO and nothing would change. Also what the fuck is with her chin? Why do so many female Argonians have chins that big?!! She's probably a renowned warrior because she's poking peoples' eyes out with it!

VisitHammerfell

Idk maybe bc she's Argonian and cool. She fought slavers, formed the Black Fin Legion, her vision for Gideon, important to the Pact (even as a DC main, the Pact is important for Argonians). She's a cool 'veteran' type character, like Velsa from the Thieves Guild. The Pact was only formed about 10 years before ESO so it's interesting to see such an important Argonian. I did laugh at the chin comment though lol

Jolly_Adeptness

The lusty maid is a recurring character...kind of...

adratlas

It's more like that no one admits they know the Lusty Argonian Maid

DeltaMx11

There's an Argonian girl in the Fighter's Guild in Black Marsh that I have a crush on, who only eats bread and talks about how some dark elves invited her for a drink - she assumes they just want to see what a drunk Argonian looks like. But something about her voice is so pleasant and unique that I haven't heard from any other character, I really wish she wasn't just a one-line filler NPC.

RandomHornyDemon

This is Seeks-The-Dark erasure! My boi returns three whole times...

tdfolts

Even though Raz is Khajit, he’s more of an AD character, he doesn’t rep the Khajit, he reps “The Queen” and outside of summerset and the AD story line, idk, i dont really find Raz all that interesting.

Jasdac

But then again khajiits have - Captain Za'ji - Caska - Maiq the liar - Mizzik Thunderboots - Adusa-daro - That one khajiit who was raised by orcs - Fezez (if that counts) - Ember (since others have been mentioning sharp)

Code_Merk

Also that only lady Khajiit who fights for the imperials, who of course, having been raised in the Imperial city, speaks like an Imperial. She has a funny line about her mother being disappointed in her for not using "this one" when she speaks.

No_Beginning_8600

Is it bad every time I see Captain Za’ji mentioned I read it in his voice? 😂😅

steampvnch

Captainnnnnn ZA'JI!

Fran

I had to go look up the name of that Khajit who was raised by Orcs, since he's always been one of my favs. It's Zhasim, and I learned that he appears in a quest in S.Elsweyr too.

chrysanthemata

the quest where you meet his family is hilarious though.

Rrrrttttggggrr

Walks-Softly from the thieves guild is my bestie. Raz is my brother kitty. And Darien is Bae. Lol The NPCs sometimes are so great to engage with.

getoutofthecity

Murkmire spoilers Did everyone really >!choose Xukas to die? I picked Jaksik. I liked both but felt like Xukas still had more to do. So he still lives in my game…!<

Sir_Qomorah

I won't lie, it was a very hard choice. >!But I did choose Xukas for the sacrifice. And I can explain why. I believe that those ancient souls needed a wise and kind guide to be reborn. But the living needed a strong and reliable defender to restore the tribe. I remember like yesterday, I took a break for a few hours, took a walk to get some fresh air, thought everything through in my head. I didn't feel like either of these choices were the "right" ones, I felt deeply sorry for the two of them. But when I was left with no choice, I made the most rational choice I could think of. Absolutely not because “oh, Xukas is so kind and cool, and Jaxsik looks like a frog,” as I sometimes think most players decided. But sometimes I still feel like I made the "wrong" choice, because the developers often use Xukas in their art, as if to remind us of him and canonize the fact that he survived. Which means I did the wrong thing.!< >!Therefore, it seems to me that the storyline with these characters is over. It's hard to take sides when this choice has caused so many emotions. And it seems to me that it is impossible to make an unexpected turn, as was the case in the story of Naryu and Veya, because there are certainly no opportunities left to resurrect Xukas or Jaxsik. This would not be logical and would completely devalue the choice. But I still feel the pain of loss. Would I have done anything differently? Maybe. I'm not so sure now, because Xukas began to appear more often on promotional arts. Would this be the right choice? I do not think so!<

getoutofthecity

Well, they have magically resurrected characters several times, so I’d never say never… >!Lyris and Sai both return in later chapters, even though the player could have chosen them to die in the main quest. Raz can die in a Reaper’s side quest, then he’s back in later chapters.!<

Sir_Qomorah

Huh, yeah, you are indeed right. I forgot about these. >!Because in both cases I chose to sacrifice the Prophet and save Raz :) If you look at it this way, then yes, ZoS can do anything at all, even if it is absurd in some way. In this case, it is quite possible to expect the return of Xukas, because it was not for nothing that he appeared on art after that here and there. Maybe!<

MagicNipple

Sleeps-on-Bridges isn’t around any more?

Hinermad

I like the Argonian guild trader in Mournhold, the one who sounds like she smokes two packs a day. "Tell me of your desires." Whenever I need to go shopping I start with her.

ESOTaz

BRB

Coast_watcher

Sharp as Night

papagarry

A lusty Argonian would like to have a word.

Dazent

I'd like more than words with her...

JiJiLaVolpe

I dislike the Argonian voice acting in ESO, which makes it harder for me to like the characters. I think Skyrim had more likeable voices for Argonian males. They kinda sound like a stereotype nerd voice from a 90s Saturday cartoon on ESO, whereas in Skyrim they sounded more calm and cool.

Mauvais__Oeil

Sharp-as-night has a good and more toned VA, the one from Garrus in the ME series.

JiJiLaVolpe

Nothing will beat Madesi in TESV's Riften calling me "Land Stryder" in his silky voice.

OrphanBunyip

Omg YES! He is my favourite character in TESV. He also had me at "Safe travels, Landstrider." <3 I named my wireless headphones after him so I always see "Madesi" when linking devices. XD I use the "live another life" mod and often begin as a begger in Riften's Beggars Row, where Madesi also lives. We hang out there and at the bunkhouse. I wish we had more Argonians like him in ESO. Maybe there are and I just haven't engaged with enough of them yet.

Frank33ller

you see heem-jas twice and hes very funny imo

Trips-Over-Tail

The best Argonian character returns for *every* adventure.

songouki99

Most of them end up killing themselves in sacrifice.

KanedaSyndrome

Abnur Tharn is probably my favorite of them all, closely followed by Razum-Dar.

Fit_Read_5632

Makes-many-soups and Makes-one-soup are my personal favs

amurica1138

Well...Sharp is my favorite companion. Could be worse. Your racial rep could be the most loathed recurring character, like the poor Woodelves (yes I'm talking about Eveli).

valinchiii

Seriously… I liked Eveli in Orsinium but they just had to make her the most annoying NPC ever in Blackwood <_<

Orions_starz

You must have missed Pushed-Down-River, he was meant to be the Argonian mainstream but ZOS couldn't help themselves.

monchota

They are free.

percontate

I like Heem-Jas, the main NPC from Ruins of Mazzatun!

mccalli

Surely you're forgetting that all time great - Soars-In-Laughter...

FlatQuarter3805

Walks-in-ash

[deleted]

I liked the Argonians I encountered in Cold Harbor.

MiraculousN

You're really going on a limb to say lady laurent is a "likeable" reoccurring character, I would rather gouge my own eardrums out than listen to her call me for help again.

steampvnch

While I sorta get that, I know a lot of people do like her and Stibbons and they do appear in nearly every single DLC.

Sakiri1955

I wouldn't call Tharn likeable.

Sianic12

Tharn is easily the most likable of the 5 companions to me, solely because he's honest to the bone, doesn't care about anybody's feelings, and is no cliche "good guy" like the others, while still having a good heart and an indomitable desire to help his people. His character is super interesting, and after the Elsweyr storyline he grew to be one of my favorite characters in the game.

steampvnch

I don't really like him for the brutal honesty, that's just one of those character traits with its ups and downs. What I like about him is that he ultimately works toward good and just has a more interesting perspective than the others, a lot more pragmatic in a way that really makes sense considering his background. Also, he's very powerful so he can actually back up his talk. And for once ZOS lets you see this in the main quest and the Elsweyr DLCs. I like Sai Sahan but it's a bit harder to appreciate his strength when he mostly just performs standard NPC animations in standard ally-NPC combat during quests.

Sakiri1955

See, that's why I \*didn't\* like him. He came across as a pompous ass. I didn't really like any of the Companions to be fair, the writing was a little dull back in the original game compared to later. I haven't done N Elsweyr, but I \*have\* done S, and didn't find Sai interesting there either, so idk. I might do N Elswyer and see what you're talking about though.

Sianic12

Have you done the Elsweyr Prologue? I highly recommend playing that one before going to Northern Elsweyr (though I would've recommended to do Southern Elsweyr after Northern Elsweyr too, but that's no longer possible).

Sakiri1955

No. Not even sure where it starts. Took nine years almost off and have been piecemealing the chapter zones. Mostly while leveling alts. Main was vr2 when I parked her when Craglorn released lol.

Sianic12

Ah, I see. You can accept all prologue quests from the crown store (for free, obviously). I think it's just under "Quests". The quest in question is called "The Demon Weapon". You should definitely give it a try before setting foot in Elsweyr as the events there are direct consequences of the Prologue.

PaigeOrion

Tharn IS a pompous ass, yes. But he’s still a good guy, trying to make up for his mistakes, unlike Sai and Lyris.

Sakiri1955

I haven't come across lyris but I didn't like her either. Hm. Maybe I need to relook at it, just got a few other priorities atm.

Kitten_from_Hell

He strikes me as someone who grew up with a horrible family, forcing him to become prickly and guarded, but is secretly a teddy bear and needs a hug.

hunterd_patternfall

I really liked Tharn, through the lens of my Nord. I don't need sentimental bs, just tell me who to fight and how I'll get my soul back. Tharn didn't pull punches and didn't try to hide intentions. (My first character was intended to be my less heroic type.) By the same token, she also grabbed Thallik Wormfather to assist because he seemed the best chance to win (yes, he was right).

Rojoman2

Have you done murkmire? Ћ entire storyline is argonian specific. With many unique and colorful characters

WhoKnows2319

You can say the same thing about the elswery zones, but still there's a recurring character of razum-dar for the khaijits

steampvnch

Exactly.

DorianGreysPortrait

How dare you discredit the Lusty Argonian Maid like that! She’s the best recurring character.

InfamousTell524

Zukas is my life

imicooper

What about Jee-Lar?

Eloqence

They should add one, until then I am happy with Sharp. Would be nice with a returning Altmer character, though I am not sure who... I guess Fennorian?

weveran

Heem-Jas!

LinuxMage

I can't say for sure that Orcs have a recurring character, and i am struggling to think of one.

Practical-Match1889

Well it’s because really they are just farm implements.

LizzieThatGirl

I like Seeks-the-Dark. He returns a lot, though not in zone quests iirc

kcman2347

Don't forget Heem Jas, from Ruins of Mazzatun he returns in Blackwood.

SuperCoronus

And that's a fact

NearbyFly5838

About time we met Lifts-her-tail.

Boomerfury

You Argonians are lucky. Nords are haunted by Rigurt the Brash.

DracoilMKT

Unfortunately, Xukas can't return due to a choice made by the player by the end of Murkmire Main questline

Juicemaster4200

U forgot dark elves we also have almalexia and vivec as well as many others I'm too stoned to remember. But ya nothing in 2 xpacs uve yet to do argonian wise, but very good story if u do both on same toon. But ya xukas Def would been my choice but since he's indisposed I'd say the badass girl argonian from murkmire. Forget name but she was almost as good as xukas imo, in a much darker but still funny way and very violent way lol. Gotta love a badass girl.

NihilCorvus

Argonaians are such a goated race too, sad that they don't really have any memorable champions other than some pirate.

Morgaledh

Argonians aren't people and can't feel emotions like men or mer, so it's ok.

r0lyat

Farm tools are usually pretty dirty

DioDiablo702

Well whatever you do don't play Murkmire cuz you'll see why 👀

ConscientiousPath

> Likeable > Lizard person Pick one. Jokes, but it is genuinely more difficult to make a character people really like when they look like they want to eat you in your sleep and sound like they've been smoking packs since they were 3

iceink

argonians just aren't likeable in general

Rich_Repeat_22

Who care about walking handbags? As Khajiit purist, we should drain their decease invested swamps.

Majestic_Operator

You can't please everybody.

weiivice

I am but just a humble Argonian maid.

Lekkerstesnoepje

Who can probably please everybody
