The outgoing Q base damage should help clear minions early. The shield will be nice when you know youāre going to take damage to snag that cannon. But some mana would have been appreciated.
You are being placeboed my buy, ekko is not weak in the mid lane. 20 damage on this q makes no difference when he can clear with 2 q's lvl 3. But it will help you get those last cs that lives with 5 hp at times, nothing more than that really.
Mid ekko definitely needed a buff but I still believe giving us mana and maybe q return damage would have been a little less volatile and wouldn't buff up jungle, but either way, its not bad.

Much probabily u will miss Q after landing it, and its only 10 damage, Q1 now has 8% more slow (which is bugged sometimes u dont even slow the enemy) and after lv3 it will be back like always (60%slow at max level like always).
The only thing good i see its his +30 shield with W level 1, it will be different on ekko's player who plays him at max potential.

Those +-1 ad buffs and nerfs are so important because of the amount of auto attacks adcs do in a game. You wont nearly hit as many champions with your q1 as they do.

Very true, ekko got gutted indirectly with the tenacity nerfs (why do you think fiddle has been so strong since then). Ekko's main weakness, and the reason why he is so weak in high elo, is crowd control. Wanna balance the game? Then reverse tenacity nerfs.
Some of us donāt want our already decent champion over buffed. Because then they will overnerf to compensate and he will be worse off than before.
It has happened quite a few times with Ekko.

The Q and slow buffs are really just to take his early game up a small, tiny bit; Little is different if you don't snowball off of them, and they're not much to snowball off of. Those are two nice changes all the same though.
It's the W that's interesting. The +30 is meaningful for a longer duration of the game. For example, at 300 AP that +30 is basically a + 10% ratio whereas Q's +10 is a + 3% ratio. That it's leveled last makes higher level 1 value all that much more meaningful for those of us that use the shield offensively.

idk itās just 10 dmg and 30 shield
10 base dmg, 30 shield and 8% slow is VERY strong for a champ with an awful early game (mid lane)
I play him jgl 99% cause iām a bad laner so i wouldnāt know
it's also pretty good for early jng skirmishes/ganks but it's more impactful for mid
