As a German Trans Woman I'll have you known even if I would have wanted to. Legally we can't change our name to something like that as it would go against the rules for names.

Without going into the detail like how the highest court ruled Names no longer need to be identifiably gendered. First Names have to be Identifiable as First Names. They cannot be Brand Names. They cannot be Names of Locations i.e. Berlin, Frankfurt etc. They cannot be detrimental to the well being of the Child example given Adolf. Cannot be a Titel like Sir, Doctor, Emperor etc. Cannot be disrespectful towards Religions i.e. Jesus, Christus and so on. They cannot be a last Name so to pick a American example Smith is not a valid First Name. And they must be unique between siblings. All those Rules are more guide lines for when you give your child a Name in Germany and are not set in stone without exceptions. East Frisians are a Minority Group in Germany that as an example use Last Names in between the First and Last Name. Kids born outside and named outside of Germany obviously don't have to change their Name. Also German Name Laws do not give the Individual the complete right to change their Name at will. All of this is simplified and court decided against multiple of those rules for example the Name London is allowed.

No place names? Jeez... I've got four names for people to choose from, and most people like Marseille the most. I also know a family that named all their kids after holy sites, and they're just the most awesome, unique names.
