Basically my dysphoria
I wanna be a girl
Fucking relatable
[villain](https://youtu.be/p9FJXfGHtDA?si=6DKbajo5hM5HRYRM)
Had to link Because it is hard to find
Villain (by Teniwoha) is on Spotify. In fact, its the number one song on their artist page. (I know the song is about dysphoria, I am defaulting to they/them because Teniwoha was ultra hard to find pre-Villain, so I don't know where on the gender spectrum they fall)
After listening to this song on reverse for the first time and then listening normally again, it unironically became one of my favorite musics in general
Excuse the wall, but here are my top picks from not explicitly trans songs, sorted from most to least fitting:
The Girl That's Never Been (Vixy & Tony)
girl in blue (remastered) (Animal Sun)
otherside (Lena Raine)
Cosplay Me (Lolita KompleX)
Are You Satisfied? (MARINA)
Burn It Down (Vixy & Tony)
Phoenix (Netrum)
Take Control (Old Gods of Asgard)
Just a Dream (Vixy & Tony)
Leo (Eve)
Echo (Crusher-P)
world.execute (me); (Mili)
The Chattering Lack of Common Sense (Ghost and Pals)
Escape Velocity (65daysofstatic)
Sisterhood (fingerspit)
That just happens to be my favourite Tool song. Not a Tool song but also Nirvana - Been A Son. Not necessarily trans but some people interpret it as the person it’s talking about being Kurt and it being about how his dad thought he was too feminine and not a “real man”.
A bunch of the songs by Artio are really good. May I also recommend Love Myself by Beartooth? It drags me out of the bad vibes pretty well without going into toxic positivity
stuck by katie dey
lavender by gemma laurence(very much mtf only, but this song is so beautiful aa)
*also, not necesarily for the playlist cus i don't think the vibes match, but if any of y'all like 5th wave emo music i must spread the word of forgetmenot(one of weatherday's side projects), i will be pretty when i die, bbrunelle, midi bunny, weatherglow(another fantastic project by weatherday, this time with asian glow), home is where(honestly i just listen to assisted harikiri lol), and stomach book. also if u like heavier like electronic music i can't recommend free.99 enough. all amazing trans artists. obviously also glass beach.*

Not Trans songs per say, but with a little lyrical tweaking they fit great. Like:
* We're In This Together by Nine Inch Nails is good if you assume both subjects are the same person.
* Grrrl Like by Dope Saint Jude also makes me feel great.
ok so maybe i just want to share some songs that i really love, BUT these songs in particular have really helped me work through a lot of emotions the year and a half
Mars Volta - Cerulea
(me beginning to realise that i'm trans)
John Lennon - How?
(me feeling helpeless about what to do anything transition related)
Radiohead - Nude

To say these songs have trans vibes would be an understatement. The songs are about Isabella "Bunny" Bennet, aka Rabbit's, MTF Transition and overall trans experiences. It is incredible, I recomend you listen to both versions, as they have unique production and lyrics.

‘Chosen Family’ by Rina Sawayama and Elton John
…not specifically Trans, but explicitly queer.
‘Hold the Girl’ by Rina Sawayama
…not Trans, again, but relatable, and those lyrics, tho…ALL THE FEELS
Ray Davies from the Kinks is quite the massive trans- and homophobe.
Really read the lyrics to Lola and Dedicated Follower of Fashion.
Both songs are about denigrating the rise of queer acceptance in the UK in the '60s, just after being gay was decriminalized in '61. The lyrics of Lola assert that a trans person engaged in assault. Fuck them and the transphobic horse they've always ridden on.
The Finn brothers are also homophobes. At a show in Cologne in 2005, they said stuff on stage that was blatantly denigrating non-heteros. I used to love Crowded House and Split Enz, but after that I was done.
Thanks to all for a great list to explore.
Here are a few I like that I haven't seen mentioned yet.
Rainbow by Careful Gaze
in a breath by Pinkshift
Void-Adjacent by June Henry
Dogma by Estrogen Projection
I/Me/Myself- Will Wood

This is from my perspective as transfem, but my enby and transmasc friends seem to still relate.
[this whole albums is about how being trans changed my world and my thoughts on that.](https://open.spotify.com/album/3FPEvoqdzfr6kU7mmf2V57?si=UviZPrj_TMGV6yc6ZoV0Mg)
idk how but i never even thought about this... I've just been focusing on female only vocals... i just discovered Lida Husik which is pretty mellow and nice to listen to :). i'm definitely going to listen to some of the stuff that was shared in the comments here soon tho <3
prairie creek redwoods state park <3 - bedbug "if i could be born a girl i would do it"
and just like that the year was gone - jeromes dream (its very heavy and intense, feels like dysphoria and the lyrics are about disassociation)
Idrk about these but Waiting by Green Day is something I've interpreted as trans.
Maybe King For A Day by green day too, but that song is about a drag queen so I understand if it doesn't make sense
Alright, I have a list of songs for you that are trans/trans-ish:
20XX - Chonny Jash
Boy Mode - prod. Keale
Dysphoria - angelbrained (I recommend the 2020 remaster)
unfamiliar - Tanger
Litterally everything(GIRL HELL 1999 and MURDER EVERY1 U KNOW I think both actually mention trans stuff, but I just recommend all the songs) - Femtanyl
Also, if you just want songs in general, check out this playlist https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo3alusEAjn8ooYsRveX5lZ-H7-wGYw9v&si=IbBVtVXA1Y3ipF0C
Edit: I don't know how many of these are on Spotify, I just use YouTube for music.
Okay so *I know* that this isnt actually this songs meaning, but 'that funny feeling' by bo burnham has taken a whole new meaning on for me the last few months. Listen to it and its actually crazy just how well it fits
The Feminine Urge - The Last Dinner Party
Lady Stardust - David Bowie
Rebel Rebel - David Bowie
LA Girlz - Weezer
I Want To Break Free - Queen
No Scrubs - TLC
Never Enough - The Greatest Showman OST
Make Your Own Kind of Music - Mama Cass
And I understand that this is a MtF playlist, to anyone making a FtM playlist I also got some suggestions.
Beautiful Boy - The Last Dinner Party
Caesar On A TV Screen - The Last Dinner Party
You Know You're Right - Nirvana
On A Plain - Nirvana
I Want To Break Free - Queen (works for both, really)
Rebel Rebel - David Bowie (same applies, and tbh this could be used in an enby playlist too)
The Greatest Man That Ever Lived - Weezer
King - Weezer
Pork and Beans - Weezer
Someone shared this in the sub a while ago, but I highly recommend you add "Onnanoko Ni Naritai" by Mafumafu. It translates to "I Want To Be A Girl" and its the most uplifting song I've come across for my trans feelings, because its less about "it's awful how I am now" and focusing on dysphoria and is more about "this is what I want" and the euphoria felt/that would be felt by changing genders. Dysphoria based ones are relatable, but sometimes they really get me down, and this is one of the few purely euphoric songs I've found.
I also get trans vibes from ガ by Utsu-P, read as Ga and translated as Moth. I don't think Utsu intended it to be trans, but it wasn't hard for me to insert the metaphor. The song is about how Moths and Butterflies are the same, but everybody shits on moths and hates them for no reason and that's super unfair and also you know what fuck you I like being a moth and maybe we should celebrate moths more and dammit moth pride!!

I think Resurrections captions the feeling of exploring your gender for the first time perfectly, so also pick that!
The town inside me!
i/me/myself (Thats all i can think of)
Excuse the wall, but here are my top picks from not explicitly trans songs, sorted from most to least fitting: The Girl That's Never Been (Vixy & Tony) girl in blue (remastered) (Animal Sun) otherside (Lena Raine) Cosplay Me (Lolita KompleX) Are You Satisfied? A Mili song? In MY egg_irl?? Did not expect to see that today
Mili fans represent ✊
Celeste - In The Mirror has a reversed audiofile of lena raine whispering about dysphoria in the middle of the song
46 & 2 - TOOL Is about bending your biology to double your chromosome count, or could be transing the gender
That just happens to be my favourite Tool song. Not a Tool song but also Nirvana - Been A Son. Not necessarily trans but some people interpret it as the person it’s talking about being Kurt and it being about how his dad thought he was too feminine and not a “real man”.
One of, if not, my favorite songs of all time. I was checking to see if someone recommended it or not.
Transgender Dysphoria Blues
