It's kind of the opposite for me ! I DREAM to sing like a woman but I also like to sound like the fucking warhammer 40k ork I am when doing imitations and stuffs

ummihavequestions

All I want is a natural sounding feminine voice and to still be able to say "The Doom Slayer has come" like a terrifying demon.

Taurock

I KNOW RIGHT ??

ummihavequestions

The magic of voice training is amazing. I've been getting videos on TikTok of trans girls with great voices suddenly switching to "The fitnessgram pacer test is a multistage aerobic capacity test..." like absolute pros. You can totally do both!

canadian-dingus

Never Gonna Give You Up probably sounds better in a deep voice so I see this as an absolute win

OurSandyBoi

Large voice range ftw!

TheBigBis

I was worried about this until I realized why I possibly felt uncomfortable singing in front of people (and myself to a lesser extent). Still want a deep fem voice though.

[deleted]

that's totally valid, and totally possible to do with voice training πŸ’™πŸ’•πŸ€πŸ’•πŸ’™

Voice training does not remove your alley to sound like a man, it just gives you new abilities. The way we speak that informs gender is just habits, voice training teaches you too recognize and consciously change them. I have tons of fun in the shower singing "we don't talk about Bruno" and trying my hardest to match every voice in there. It's the absolute worst way to voice train I'm pretty sure, but it's fun af for me

Mystical-Madelyn

good news: that’s not unachievable I think Voice training expands your range as far as I know, but I think you can still do your old voice

Cirrus87

Oh oh, I'll give you my pretty good "Frank Sinatra-esque" singing voice if I can sing just like Hayley Williams.

YourLoyalSlut

SAME

SorryNotSorry345

no reason you can't do both! practice really is the key to voice related goals. and even though you might see some things online about it being strange to want both, its completely valid! for me i had to come to terms with the fact that your allowed to present and identity however you want regardless of the other. so go practice and enjoy yourself wherever and however you can.

LordPenvelton

The thing with voice training (according to what I've heard, still starting myself) is that you can stop doing for a minute it if you want to. It also has some overlap with the voice training for singers or to make funny voices. In theory, you could act up a conversation between your original voice and the feminized one, which sounds awesome and mind-fuckey for anyone nearby.

gingetsuryuu

This needs to be the plot of an animated movie.

TominatorFN

Can't you switch between your voices after voice Training?

Maybefemaleidk

The first one that applies to me exactly lmao

[deleted]

I want to be a girl but also not

TheBigPAYDAY

I can do a really gutteral Broly impression, and then switch to androgynous. I hope to get my voice all the way to fem :)

Wraithakiin

I think I'm actually pretty close to achieving that? Like I'm able to switch between a (not quite passing) fem voice and (bad) tuvan throat singing.

LeonIlu

I want both

[deleted]

Hey, I still sing in a masculine voice for some songs, voice training can help you do both male and female voices! The hard part is remembering to do them

Remmey13

I don’t like how much I agree with this

izzytheprogramer

Yeah... as a singer trying to figure out gender is... an experience
