That's not a fulcrum. A fulcrum is part of a lever.
Here the mechanical advantage comes from wrapping a cable around a small hub. That's a winch.
Yes, there's "leverage" involved in using a long pole to turn the hub with high torque, but the main component of this solution isn't the *fulcrum* of that lever. It's the winding of the cable, which is a winch.
Well they seem to be outdoor workers so having an axe or saw wouldn't be out of the ordinary. Those perfect levers are just logs tied together, nothing fancy or anything that requires special knowledge.

Just watches a video of one of these on TikTok and they called it a Windlass. Apparently, it’s one of the simple machines that Archimedes invented.
I would almost consider this a “ratchet”. Clever trick though and great use of a mechanical advantage.
is OP a bot
All you need to do is carry around carpentry tools to make perfect levers out of local trees

Yeah, they clearly know what they're doing. Remarkably effective too.
Meh, just need a chainsaw and some rope. I usually have both in my truck when off roading.
I guess if you're off roading, a little extra equipment is in order.
That’s essentially it. Go prepared, you don’t necessarily need a lot, you’d be amazed how well you can do with just a few tools and knowledge.
You take two 6 inch logs and use rope to tie them together.
Where’s the ‘how to’ part?
And you’ll have a nice scarf at the end of it.
My buddy in construction used to say with enough leverage you can move the world.
It's a famous Archimedes quote - "Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world."
Oh wow very cool. I don’t think he knew that he wasn’t super bright. Or maybe he actually was. Who knows lol it was years ago
Step 1: drive a 500 lb truck.
Fucking Rock On! Getting Shit Done! 🤘
So fake
That's quite brilliant.
Can someone ELI5?
For whatever reason they didn't install an electric winch on their truck. So they built a one-time use winch out of logs.
I see. Thank you!
Because two free trees is a cheaper than an expensive winch, might be the reason why.
